Ordered and paid for a specific firearm and told it was "in stock" and it would be in store within a few days, and I paid for it in advance. Well, I waited those few days and then some, and when I was told the fire was not in yet, I asked to cancel the order and refund my money I do not know who the rude and argumentative person was at Tactical, but he finally said he would refund the money. As of this post, crickets and no refund VC Defense was far better than in customer service and providing the new purchase. And yes, I have already contacted the credit card company and the BBB of CA. read more

I love the small family feeling I get here. Alex is very helpful. I ordered a few different firearms that were not in stock. Alex gave me an approximate delivery date. When I went back in, 1 was there but the other was not. He called while I was there, but it was still in transit. After he checked the tracking, it was still 3 days out. He apologized, but I told him as a business owner myself, we can't control what we can't control. He asked me what he could do for me to make me happy; I told him I was happy and to call me when it came in. He called, I did my paperwork and 10 days later, I was at the range with it. Hands down - the best service you can expect out of fire arms dealer. Keaton, Alex, Robert, some new guy - all the same - super nice, knowledgeable and you can come and have a conversation with them. Sometimes I get bored and come in to hang out. They're friendly and will provide you the best knowledge without pressure to buy anything. I don't know what that recent 1 star review has to do anything with the service and quality of accessories that the guys at Tactical Arms Group sell. They're not a CCW service provider. Sure they have a few providers that they've used in the past and recommend, but it is up to the person to interview (call) and ask questions before going. Also - it's my belief and a few other's in LE that you should know how to actually shoot a gun with good markmanship, BEFORE going to get your CCW license course work. There are others like Hezi Sheli's operation that offer a combo of gun training + CCW, but Greg is NOT that. Again - if you want exceptional firearms, accessories, light assembly, cerakote - Tactical Arms Group - they're your spot. If you want GUN Training (shooting a gun, markmanship, clear a room, etc)- go to a licensed and insured, GUN training course. TERRIBLE! I had my driver license with my old address along with a electricity bill and vehicle registration with my new address but they wanted to send me to DMV to get a new license so they can sell me a gun. Went to Greta's Guns in Simi and they accepted my documents without giving me any hassle. Stay away from this store. They are unprofessional. Response: Stop accusing me of falsifying. I explained the situation to Greta's and they accepted my SCE and the same vehicle registration your employee failed to accept. DMV wanted to charge me $65 to reissue a valid license and if you watched the footage, I asked your employee if there is another way. You are obviously not very experienced in this field. read more

Went into TA today for the first time in my search for a couple specific pieces and rare ammo. Total of 6 visits across 4 different stores. Keaton gave me the time, honest perspective, and price-matched (on my word) a Sig offered for less at a store in Simi. He explained in detail (and showed pics of) the custom work they do at great prices. I was going back to have the customization done, he price-matched the piece sight unseen, and he was super cool. I was out of excuses and pulled the trigger (I know, just move on). The Simi stores are bigger than the ones in TO, have more ammo options, and sometimes (not always) have the most competitive prices. But with that size and foot traffic inevitably comes the one guy who rubs you the wrong way. Not at TA. And they have a robust consignment rack with limited LEO guns that get you excited and then let down. Very happy to be a purchaser and will be back for more service and my new piece! I have had nothing but excellent service from TA. I don't normally post yelp reviews but, in this case I feel it necessary. First off, I have NO connection to TA other than being a customer. Secondly, I think it's wrong to leave a review for a different business on a business's yelp page. That said, someone left a review here meant for me. I will say that everyone learns differently. If anyone wants to see other reviews of me, feel free to join Ventura County CCW Facebook page. As for this review, I'm disappointed because, I try to end every class by asking for input including suggestions, concerns, constructive criticism and even non-constructive criticism. Cori left the review a year after attending my class which was legally a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 16 hours. In her own writing, I have a document stating she was here for 9 hours (not 10 like she claimed). I also went above and beyond by going to her business to roll her fingerprints instead of having her come to me. Now, about my CCW Class, I don't believe a CCW class is where one learns to shoot. One should already know how to handle a firearm before deciding to carry one in public. My class is designed to educate people on firearms safety and the laws and everyday issues surrounding CCWs. Now, due to SB-2 changing the time requirements to a 16 hour minimum, I do include a few hours on handgun fundamentals. BTW, I'd rather not talk or listen to myself speaking. I just don't know of another efficient way to teach a class. Am I supposed to learn and sign language, videos and written material only when teaching???????? Am I supposed to teach 8-9 hours straight without eating anything???????? I'm sorry but, that's not healthy. I strongly encourage Cori to remove her negative review of me on another business's page. She can leave any review of me she wants to but not on another's page. read more

I live in Calabasas and yes there are other gun stores in town but I decided to try Tactical Arms. So glad I did! I called them on the phone and I had a few questions. I felt very comfortable with them over the phone so I drove right down. I had the pleasure of dealing with Keaton and Bobby. They both answered my questions and gave me some suggestions. I do own other guns but by no means am I an expert. I had questions and needed some answers and advice. Some of the other big gun stores don't take the time to listen. If you are a novice or an expert, this is the place. If you need a new gun or ammunition, this is the place. The store was bright and clean and very well organized. The parking is easy. I did my paperwork and purchased the gun I need for my overlanding trip up to bear country. Can't wait to go back and pick it up. The prices are very fair and competitive. This store is refreshing. I was driving down Thousand Oaks Blvd. a few weeks ago and saw there was a new gun store in town and immediately got excited. The next day I went in and spoke to the owner for about 45 minutes. He is a younger guy and a wealth of knowledge. He reminds me of myself in that he loves to chat and isn't biased and holds no attitudes or judgment. I know my way around guns and I have quite a few but I also know a few local gun shops that will roll their eyes if you aren't an expert. I didn't really need to buy anything although I came back the next day and bought a few smaller items to support. Gun shops can be intimidating places especially for first time buyers, but this place couldn't be further from that. My wife went in by herself to buy her first gun and felt very welcomed and safe. I became a diehard customer after that. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable, relaxed and above all friendly.
