I made an appointment here, went down and showed them the guns I wished to sell. One in poor shape, small revolver, I knew wasn't worth much, and they told me so. The second was a pre-war Walther PPK That was in very good condition, with a crown marking. The (seemingly), very nice guy that looked at my guns told me that sadly, the Walther also wasn't worth much, and was unfortunately a very common gun. He offered to purchase the gun from me for $500. I told him I'd have to think about it and left. Note: I'm an older woman who knows little about guns. Trusting him, I told him as much. Back home, after having done some research, I pretty much knew the gun was worth more. Asking around, I found a more reputable out of state auction house in Illinois, and consigned the gun to them. The gun sold in February for $3800. Avoid this business. Attempting to scam women...or anyone..... is a pretty awful way to conduct yourself. read more

After multiple purchases over the last 10 years, I am very disappointed with the service of LSB. It used to be a much better experience. I made an appointment to complete my purchase of a snub nose .38. I arrived and had to wait 45 minutes as they started taking customers on a 1st come 1st serve basis. The young woman I met with was rude, condescending, and just not nice. The revolver had a definite issue with the cylinder release, even after being advertised as excellent condition. The web site states that if you are not satisfied with your purchase you can return it within 30 days. I called to start the return and was told there would be a 25% fee to return the item ( what !!! ). Spencer, you are expanding quickly, bravo. Keep an eye on your business before it deteriorates. read more

I recently used their service to sell a gun. The gun description that was published was a cut and paste job from what I believe was a previous listing, rather than a unique description of the gun I brought in. There happened to be another gun like the one I brought in, that had the exact description, however, the guns were not. Mine was an unfired pistol and the other was obviously used. The description was inaccurate and incomplete. The photos were incomplete also. The gun was pulled from the auction so that the description could be corrected and additional photos included. Some corrections to the description were made, but no additional photos were added. This, I believe, resulted in a lower final bid on the auction and cost both of us. These people are scammer and they sold me a broken gun and charged me 50% shipping to boot. Make sure you get extra pictures and get the shipping up front. They also get Gunbroker.com to delete negative feedback so people don't see who they really are. They are such high volume that Gunbroker.com caves to them and hurts the customer. read more

I don't usually leave mixed reviews, but unfortunately this time I have to. I bought a .50 cva bobcat off of the gun auction ( GunBroker) from lock stock and barrel. The transaction was quick , the guns exterior was beautiful and arrived quickly. With all guns bought through auctions I do know they are use, or new old stock and will have some blemishes.. But this one was perfect. That was until I dug in. The breach plug was seized, the gun was shipped to me loaded and the barrel connecting the side hammer is clogged. I called LS&B to inform them and I talked to a man named Chris who offered me a full refund. I rejected the refund because I want to keep the gun. And then he offered to let me ship it to a gun Smith that he knew in DFW and I accepted. I live in rural Texas in the middle of nowhere so I have no gunsmith around me that works with muzzleloaders. This offer was made a month and a half ago. Now I can't get him to return my call and he is always busy when I call. The customer service at LS&B are very nice people. They are professional and try. But I am really disappointed that the manager would offer such a service and then not have the decency to tell me the truth, that he promised something that he couldn't deliver. Selection galore! If you are looking for particular firearm this is the place where you'll find it. Please keep in mind that when you DROS a firearm at the Simi Valley location you not only have to wait the usual 10 days you then also have to wait an average of 7 days or more after that because since there are no walk ins you have to make an appointment to pick up your firearm but only after the 10 days have passed. I tried to make an appointment to pick up the day I DROS'd but the gatekeeper was not having it. Some of the associates there believe they practice CA law so be careful what documents you bring for the DROS process. What's acceptable at other gun shops are not acceptable at LSB. A quick phone call prior will save you a lot of time and argument. Happy hunting read more

In actual fact my auction closed on 8/19 and I still have not received my payment. "We were provided wrong the address (by ourselves), then our mistake was corrected (by 3 emails and 4 phone calls from the customer), and now (we say..) what should have been done in the first place has now been done... so everything worked done, what's the problem..?" The person that I spoke to was very friendly and professional and they informed me that they no longer provide smithing services to the general public. If you need some fast cash, LSB is a good option. I had some bills piling up due to being out of work due to a car accident and they helped me out by paying cash for some guns I had lying around I didn't shoot anymore. They don't lowball you with outrageous offers of half what you could sell for elsewhere- you get a fair amount and you get cash on the spot. Dan is a good guy and easy to work with, and will buy just about anything firearms related- ammo, accessories, etc. you don't get absolute top dollar, but you get a fair price almost instantly. What is one to do if you need to sell off firearms ? I found that Lock Stock and Barrel Investments were of considerable help as we sought to: 1) estimate the worth of our departed father's collection and 2) conveniently and safely sell and legally transfer the firearms to interested buyers without hassle. Along with providing an experienced appraiser, L.S.B. provided transport for the firearms and our chief chore after that was to sign paperwork for legal transfer. One piece of advice to all sellers... BE SURE of what you want to sell and what you want to keep BEFORE you transfer anything - because once the sale is concluded -it's someone else's property. The only downside to this great place is that it is tucked into a corner of a non descript stripmall and i passed it by looking for the signage. The shop is neat and clean, Dan is at the front processing transactions quickly and was very friendly. He and everyone at the place were knowledgable and kind. I left after selling my guns and a scope with more than I thought I would get. Dan offered to buy them outright, on consignment, or to auction them for me, I took the immediate buyout and walked away so happy!
