I don't know what more anyone could want from an ice cream joint. They have it all! Everything my party tried was excellent. They are open late so a great spot to hit up after sunset at the pier. Line went fast and there was outdoor seating for your wait. I shall return! read more

The people who work there are so friendly and efficient. My icecream is always packaged neatly and with the perfect amount of mix-ins. You can tell the manager runs a tight ship and the employees seem to be happy with their job. I've been to both the Irondequoit and Webster locations. This review is about WEBSTER. The Irondequoit location left a lot to be desired and their prices were higher. I don't get that. So it's Webster all the way for me!'!!! Obviously my pup loves it too!!! read more

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Flavors are impeccable, the owner and staff are patient and friendly! No matter the time or day, they will put a smile on your face x read more

This ice cream shop is a cool, old-fashioned establishment where you can get a variety of delicious scooped ice cream flavors, some soft-serve, and other items. They have lots of variety on their menu, and their prices are pretty reasonable. I have been here only once and I had a good experience. The staff members were courteous and helpful. The way ordering works here is that you walk up to their ordering windows, place your order, and pick it up at a different window. It's a walk-up drive-in type shop. You eat outside either on the benches they have provided, walking around, in your car, or take it to go. I got scooped ice cream for my family and I. We tried flavors like Cherry Almomd, Butterscotch Ripple, Almond Chocolate Coconut, and Mint Fudge Crunch. We all liked our respective flavor choices. The ice cream was flavorful. My pick was Cherry Almond, and it was quite to my liking. It had an abundance of almonds with just the right amount of cherry flavor. I had a good experience checking out Bruster's and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't been here before to check it out. read more

Ice cream is okay but pricey compared to other ice cream place. I came here on Saturday around 3-4pm and stayed in line for about 5 minutes waiting for ordering. I got 3 scoops with 3 different flavors: caramel apple, Boston cream, cheese. I barely tasted other 2 flavors, only the apple stand out. And the cup was no bigger than 2 scoops cup compared to other ice cream shop, possibly smaller. The parking lot is tiny and can't fit more than 10 cars or so. read more

So good! The ice cream is so creamy! And omg the waffle cone! You can definitely taste that it's homemade and made fresh. I would definitely recommend if you haven't been! Much better ice cream than the store bought stuff. Definitely get a waffle cone!!! I got mint chocolate chip and sea salt caramel toffee in a waffle cone. The mint was delicious. Amazing texture, it was fluffy yet creamy. Has a soft, kind of milky flavor, the mint wasnt super powerful in an okay way. Did not care for the sea salt caramel toffee favor, it was really really salty and I like salt, I promise! I always go for the salted caramel ice creams but ooof this one was really too much, i didn't even want to eat it. Don't recommend that flavor, but maybe someone dropped the salt in that batch and it's usually more balanced? Their covid rules were a bit confusing. You can order a cone, they'll put the ice cream in the cone but they won't hand u the cone, they put the come upside down in a dish, set the dish down and scoot it over to you. I don't know of that's necessary and I found it kind of odd but at least they're thinking about and care about patrons safety. read more

Always delicious and creative flavors at Bruster's. We've been coming to this one since 2005 and always loving it. Everyone is friendly, though it can get REALLY busy. Online Ordering helps but they are slow to tend to the online pickup window when it gets busy. read more

I've been here dozens of times. great ice cream that's creamy and there are a big variety of flavors. I order drive up and it appears clean from the outside. Service is good but not outstanding. Bottom line, I love it here at 2 different locations. read more

The best Ice cream you can find. The flavors change all the time. The only problem for me, is the limited dairy free selections. But there are Lemon ice and almond milk selections, just not my favorite Maple walnut. Love the waffle cones, they make them on site. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find out how excellent the ice cream is at Bruster's. I'm super picky about ice cream and I will only eat it if I feel it's the absolute best. I usually visit Webster every couple of months and had never made it here- I was very excited about the quality and flavor of the ice cream. I got the Oreo - big chunks of cookies, super creamy and rich flavor. My fav ice cream place here so far. BF loved his too My only small complaint was that the ice cream was very soft as if the freezers weren't quite cold enough? so it melted a little too quickly read more

The best ice cream!!! When we visit Rochester Bruster's always hits the spot on a hot day!

The parking lot was very crowded, but the line was not that bad, so I'm not sure where all those people were?? I hit the line fairly well, and there were two windows open and two families being served. I happened to notice a sign for Cookie Craze ice cream as I was walking up, and it was BLUE!!! Judge me all you want, but I'm a sucker for things in pretty colors. :) It was on the list of flavors that day, so the decision was made! What I wanted was a peanut butter cup sundae, so I still got that, with the Cookie Craze ice cream. It was good. It was the same price as another ice cream place, and the sundae at the other place is MUCH better, but this was still good. I'd go again, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. And if you don't already know, there's no indoor seating. You order outside, so there's no indoor anything. read more

Um it's delicious in house made ice cream, need I say more? They always have your basic options and then changing flavors. The turtle sundae is delicious, my coworker is partial to the apple dumpling sundae. Yeah it's a bit pricey, it's not the $2 ice cream from 20 years ago but it's not overpriced l. read more

Great flavors, always a great experience. I also enjoyed working there as a teenager and know the care that goes into making everything by hand especially the yummy waffle cones. Try the turtle (chocolate ice cream with caramel and walnuts), or really any flavor you've never heard of because you never know what your favorite will be. Seasonal flavors are amazing too all year round. read more

I absolutely love Bruster's home made ice cream! It is so creamy and they have a big selection everyday. The flavors change everyday also which is the only thing that sometimes bothers me! When you try one flavor and love it you better get a pint for home that day because it could be a week or two when they make it again. Of course with all the daily choices I always manage to find a flavor or 2 I enjoy. They also make all kinds of sundaes, ice cream cakes and pies and anything else you want ice cream related. I am a fan of peach melba which I don't think I've seen since last fall or late summer. When I got my first notice (yes, you can register to receive notice on your favorites!)they made it I was there! With the virus you can only get dishes of ice cream and not cones. They also aren't accepting cash so have your card ready. When they are at a normal state they have several tables to sit at also but those are closed for now. As usual with me I forgot a picture mostly because I started eating and forget everything else! Next time I will take a picture of the days flavors (if I remember) and the shop itself. It's worth the drive. They also have markers to stay 6 feet apart so follow that! I wore my mask too. I suggest getting their card also because you get credit for each purchase! Used my $5 reward so working my way to the next one read more

Awesome walk up ice cream stand here in western NY. I was thinking excited to see something that reminded us of small town KY ice cream stands. So many flavors and choices, the kids had a hard time. They went with waffle cones and a blast. Ice cream had great taste, not too rich (too much milk fat) like some of the chain shops we visit. Outside picnic tables. Great place to take the family. Everyone wants to make a daily ice cream trip here while in the Webster area! read more

Stopped by on "Cones for a Cause" day, where a $1 of each waffle cone sold went to Feeding America. Of course, I ordered a waffle cone. The "small" was still a generous 2 scoops, with plenty of delicious flavor options. I picked one of the seasonal special flavors- apple pie, and a chocolate raspberry truffle flavor. DELISH! And all for a decent price They had good line/seating/service etiquette for Covid. (Ps They are still accepting cash, I know some places haven't so I'll mention it here) read more

Got a chocolate root beer float here I don't think they were even on the menu but they made one for me and it was excellent!

This is my favorite ice cream place in the area. A few of the other locations have closed but the Webster location is still as busy as always. The icecream is great here. It's creamy, rich, and not too dense. They make the icecream right on site and you can taste the freshness. Definitely get "hard" icecream instead of soft serve. Waffle cones are also made in house and are a must have if you are getting a cone. They rotate flavors but always have 20 or more. They usually have dairy free, sugar free, and other options. Thursdays are BYO banana day. Half priced banana splits if you bring your own banana. Since they don't actually make you use the banana, this essentially means a half price 3 scoop sundae. It gets pretty busy after dinner on Thursdays so be prepared. This location stays open all year. The icecream cakes and pies are both good. If you call a day or two in advance, they will make you a custom cake or pie. Otherwise they have a few options on hand and wrote on the cake for me while I waited. The cake has an actual baked cake layer as where the pie is all icecream. The pie is what people expect a traditional icecream "cake" to be like. Both have fudge, crunchiest, whipped cream, and other garnishes like Oreo cookies. They have a free rewards program. They give free gifts around your birthday if you sign up and a credit to use after you spend a certain amount. You can't really compare to Abbot's because custard can't really be compared to hard icecream. If you want a sundae or cone, I suggest Bruesters. If you want a dish or cup, go for Abbot's. Mario's is good but Bruesters wins out. read more

Took the family to get ice cream for Father's Day. Full disclosure: I'm not a big ice cream fan but I really enjoyed my peanut butter sundae. Have been a couple of times now and really can't recommend it enough. It was very impressive to watch our youngest working generation work together so efficiently. The ice cream was phenomenal (chocolate chunk, raspberry chocolate). I recommend the sugar cone, it was what made it for me. The waffle cone was probably the only let down, but it was still fine. They offer free cones to children under 40", however you do have to mention it to receive the offer. The eating area was solid and parking was sufficient (turning in from the left was not the easiest. read more

great service! very thoughtful workers. received my order quickly and the ice cream was delicious!

Looking for an amazingly tasty sugar high? Bruster's has awesome homemade ice cream! Just walking up to the shop you smell the sweetness in the air. Mmmmmm! Bruster's has SO MANY FLAVORS, about 140 of them, which rotate. There are about 24 to choose from at one time! My favorites include Birthday Cake and Graham Central Station. You can even go on their website and sign up for a text notifying you when your favorite flavor is available! They also have frozen yogurt and Italian ice but my motto is GO BIG OR GO HOME. The "real stuff" is so worth the caloric splurge! Prices are a tad high. If you go earlier in the day they have "happy hour" and everything is cheaper. Pretty sweet deal, pun intended. They also have B.Y.O.B. on Thursdays. Not talking about the same B.Y.O.B. from your college days. You bring your own banana and get half off a banana split! I also recently got some coupons in the mail for Buy one get one free cones. Love coupons! As for the one reviewer complaining about how long they waited... Well, if you're going on a hot summer night, yeah, I'm sure this place will be packed. They've got great ice cream and people love it. Patience is a virtue. If you don't want to wait your turn, go elsewhere or go earlier in the day. I haven't had much of a wait ever. Personal opinion, this place kicks Abbotts a**!! Abbotts has what, 4 flavors? No thanks. I like to shake things up. read more

A+ for staying open year round! A+ for the taste of your ice creams! A+ for the patience as we all decide! Be Blessed!

I called to place an order for an ice cream pie for my brother's birthday last week. we love the pistachio ice cream however I hadn't been to Bruster's in years so the owner got on the phone and very nicely explained how they only make it for holidays and such because the cost of pistachios is so high. HOWEVER- she went out of her way to make the pistachio ice cream JUST for the pie we ordered and it was absolutely delicious! the pie was perfect and she even included candles, which is an amazing touch. I can't wait to go back! the fact they make all the ice cream in house is just incredible- not many places do that nowadays. thank you so much for catering to our needs and exceeding expectations. I will definitely be returning soon!! support this small business!! read more

How have I not reviewed this place yet? We went last night and I got Keylime and New York cheesecake ice cream in a cup. Got the regular size which is three scoops, huge! The lines get long but for good reason; their flavors of ice cream freaking rock! I tried the Sea Salt Caramel & the Peanut Butter Cream with HUNKS of creamy peanut butter throughout in a waffle cone and it was downright magical.
