If you need electrical work done with care and professionalism this is a great company to call . I was able to get an appointment squeezed into an already busy schedule as most companies including this are usually booked up a couple weeks out which is fair . But unlike the other companies Brushy Creek Electric made and exception for my small but tedious job and where able to come out the next day . I basically had a Sonos SL One speaker in wall mounting kit that needed an outlet added to the inside of the mounting box where the speaker sits. This is so you don't have to run any plugs inside the wall but rather just plug the speaker into the wall mount itself . This isn't like a regular cord hiding kit where you just cut a hole up top and then another one next to the outlet on bottom to plug it in with the cord showing on bottom. It actually needs to be hardwired into the existing electrical wires in the wall and I wasn't about to attempt to mess with it myself not knowing one thing about electrical work other than hanging simple lights and fans. On top of the fact that my stud / wire finder was saying there where wires I could possibly cut through by accident behind the sheet rock. Also the fact this whole project was under my staircase which is built a little different from the rest of the interior walls so it's sketchy for me to just cut away. The kit is by ( Thenos ) not Thanos from the Avengers by the way which will pop up on autocorrect every time you look for the company on google incase you want one lol . I'm happy I chose Brushy Creek Electric , Greg was patient with my questions very neat with the work he did and affordable considering what I was asking him to do. He was also pretty quick with the job and made sure everything worked as it should before completing the job . I will say I called around plenty of other reputable companies and got twice the price and a longer wait time for an appointment as I did with Brushy Creek Electric. I'm not saying he's super cheap because to be fair all jobs change depending on the task and difficulty level which you should always consider . I am saying he will get the job done rite at a reasonable competitive price according to the industry standards and you won't have to worry about issues later because he definitely knows what he's doing . I say this because its not fair to make up this idea that because someone got a good deal on a job that you deserve to pay less than what is recommended and then get angry when it's not what you expect on a quote . There is always a standard most people charge it's their livelihood but this company is very fair with their prices and if they say something costs higher than what you expect to pay just remember another company might charge double just because they have a big head on their shoulders and haven't been around as long. This guy showed up two hours late without explanation or apology. I called his company number twice in that time, and both times his receptionist or whatever told me he was 10 minutes away. I didn't make a big deal of it when he showed up because I wanted the work done, but in retrospect, I should have told him to get lost. He took an hour and a half (at $135 an hour plus $100 service fee) to install a basic ceiling fan. My wife and I did the same thing in a different room in less time after watching a youtube video. The real reason we called him out was to figure out what's going on in a small bonus room we have where the power only works maybe one day a week. Miraculously, this was the lucky day that week where the power worked fine, so he clearly didn't believe me when I explained the issue. He suggested I just wasn't using the lamp correctly despite the fact that there's an overhead light that also doesn't work most of the time. I understand that it might not be easy or even possible to diagnose an issue when it's not currently happening, but the professional thing to do would have been to offer to waive the service fee to come back out and continue work another day, or even just to say "Hey, I can do such and such to try to figure this out, but I can't guarantee I'll find the problem, and it may get real expensive. Do you want me to proceed?" Instead, he implied I'm too stupid to use a light switch and handed me a bill. If you have a simple job, find someone cheaper. If you have a hard job, find someone better. Let this guy go back to napping in his truck. read more

Holy smokes, Greg was beyond exceptional. Called him in the morning and he came out in the afternoon. He didn't have the breaker we needed so he went and got it and came back on the same day! I expected him to push me to the next day but nope, same day service. There are a lot of unreliable contractors today but Greg is not one of them. Adding to that, super nice guy. I usually don't give bad reviews but this is very unacceptable. We've been contacting Greg to fix some electrical problems in the new house, he came to the house and check and gave us the price he charges, great. and told us most of the jobs are easy job. Today, we're about to start the job, he came in the morning, we walked through the projects and discuss possibility to fix couple things, and finally he told us there are couple projects he is not able to charge his hourly rate, and will be much higher. We requested him to give us an estimate which we have never received, he said he had to go back to his office to send us the estimate so he would come back to start the project. 10 mins later, an email arrived said he's walking away from the project because he has two bigger project lined up. At this point, we have our contractors here ready to start fixing the ceiling and the walls, but without fixing all the electrical we can't do anything and the contractor was already there at the house when Greg walked away from the project, it delayed our other project and we had to find another electrician to do the work. Greg is very unprofessional, walking away from the project the same day when we want him to start. Maybe he is a good electrician but his attitude is bad, we tried to call him back and he sent us straight to the voice mail. If he walk away couple days ago we had enough time to find another time, but after all week of emailing/calling and he walk away from the job, glad he is his own boss, otherwise I would complain to have him fired. It's just a friendly suggestion to others who are about to use Greg, maybe consider he might walk away from your project too. Not saying don't go from Greg maybe he will treat you different depends on his mood, but make sure you have a backup plan. read more

When he finally responded to one of my phone calls, he gave a ridiculous excuse and apology concerning why he cancelled and promised he would show up the next day. We are in the process of purchasing an investment property. After obtaining the property inspection report, I emailed Greg in the middle of the night asking if he could visit the property and look at some electrical and handyman work that might be needed. To my surprise, he emailed back within hours in the middle of the night and followed up with a phone call in the morning. We set up an appointment for the next day. I still haven't heard back from any of the other companies I emailed or called. After reviewing the property with Greg, I now feel very comfortable moving forward with our purchase. We were using two electric heaters in a down stairs room that doesn't have central air and heat. When I went outside in the freezing cold this morning and checked the breaker box, I discovered that some wires were burning inside the box. I called Greg and explained the situation. BrushyCreek Electric is TOTALLY irresponsible and rude! Don't let their religious "God Bless you" recording fool you in the least! Actions speak MUCH louder than words! They scheduled with me for 9:30 am this morning. It is 1:30 and he has not shown up! Greg called at 9:00 am to say he " was running a little late" and would be here at 10:00. He has since not called or shown up. No one answers the phone and all I get is their recorded religious message. What a total crock this company is! Why do some companies think that customers have nothing better to do than sit around and wait for them and that OUR time is not valuable! I would NOT hire this company!
