I tried hers and it was superb. The sauce was excellent. I ordered a favorite dish that I have tried at several different Italian restaurants from Carlsbad to San Pedro and nearby in La Canada. It's a seafood pasta and at this restaurant it's called Penne Frutti Del Mare. It's penne pasta in a garlic butter sauce with clam, mussels and shrimp. It's by far the best pasta that I have ever tasted. The flavor was excellent and I enjoyed it thoroughly. We were only one of two customers in the place but we learned from the other patron that she's been dining there for 25 years. Given the poor service and overall experience, we decided not to leave a tip. When she picked up the receipt book and saw this, she stormed away from our table without saying a single word.
