My daughter had the Worst experience she took her 2013 Hyundai Sonata on 08/26/23 for a New Radiator total Cost $784.14 we left it for 2 days for a total inspection and Repair. We picked up on the second day brought home and it was leaking Coolant so we drove it back to get looked at the mechanic said it's just water it took my husband to tell him look again he tightened it and said you should be fine. Here we are 11/28/23 it's leaking again Brandon the Manager says " We are not perfect sometimes we have faulty parts it never was a faulty part it was " Negligence" our Family Trusted Bruneel point S to do the labor correctly. He shrugged his shoulders and says you don't have to come back you can go somewhere else!! He doesn't want to take ownership of a mistake that was done 2 times. Also went in to say "Many customers come back with things like this! I really wish he would of said from the get go we aren't "Very good at what we do" choose somewhere else! I am new in town and posted on Nextdoor asking for a mechanic, several people directed me to Pro Auto Care. I have a 2004 Chevy Equinox with 140,000 miles. It's been reasonably maintained but just finished a 1700 mile drive in the hottest part of the summer. I saw that the car started to have some sort of leak and took it in. It turned out to be a labor-intensive timing chain seal and oil pan seal. While it was in the shop I asked about the radiator and all the hoses. All checked out fine. They could have told me I needed to replace everything, I wouldn't have known the difference. Ultimately, the whole repair was $1600, and less than I had budgeted. I was really impressed with the service. and the attitude. I'll be going back. read more

I came to pro Auto Care off of a reference and was generally happy with my experience. My car was leaking power of steering fluid so the guys there checked out my vehicle and decided I needed a new pump. The guy said he looked for the best deal possible and the total came out to around $316. he was also nice enough to mention that they had a student discount which I would not have known about until he mentioned it. I didn't go to any other shop beforehand to compare prices so I would not know if that is expensive price for replacing a pump but they seemed like honest guys there. It's so hard to find a decent mechanic; especially one that is reasonably priced and offers different payment options. I needed some service on my Acura MDX; I did a little research on Yelp and I found these guys to have really good reviews. I had a grinding noise with my Acura that I needed to be looked at so I dropped it off in the evening and next day they looked at it gave me a reasonable price and had me on the road within a few days. They actually even recommended a timing belt service which wasn't something I had gone looking for but was important to get fixed all the same. I found the staff to be super friendly and the payment options very easy. I'd highly recommend these guys if you're looking for a mechanic. read more

Starting last March I brought in my van to have the steering looked at and fixed since it was pulling and making terrible noises. After spending over $1,100 (the first time) for a new steering system I find out less than a year later that the repaired system has failed and needed to be replaced. After having it replaced in December along with a few other things, it immediately was performing poorly - like it was in March. The mechanic tells me the parts they get from Salt Lake aren't always going to work and can be questionable, and that they'd replace the replacement but there was no promise it would work. They said they'd cover it under warranty and replaced the steering system a third time. It still didn't work, still sounds and feels bad in the steering wheel. After having them look at it a fourth time (a year later and after now spending almost $2000 total on repairs) they informed me they never checked the power steering pump and that it was likely the culprit and would like to charge an additional $600 (mostly labor). It's now obvious this shop doesn't know how to properly diagnose or repair, nor does this shop have access to quality parts - considering 2 of the 3 "new" steering systems failed immediately. If this shop was "Pro" anything, they'd know not to recommend a $1,100+ repair job if they know the parts might "just not work" and they'd have to re-redo their own repair 3 times. Additionally, they didn't think to check the power steering pump the first 3 times they had the steering system dismantled and could've easily repaired it during any of those times, saving on the hours of labor to repair it alone - instead of just not thinking to check it as the mechanic told me. I took my car in because it wouldn't start. The owner told me the battery needed replacing because it was old and went dead and wouldn't charge. So I agreed. He then told me that because the battery is side sitting (the bolts to remove it are on the side not the top) he claimed that it took longer to remove and would have to charge for labor. That is not true. It takes two minutes. If I had the tools I would have done it. Then they told me that the car now started and ran but that the fuel pump needed replacing. I decided to wait on replacing the fuel pump until I could afford it and went to pick up the car. I was then told that no, it does not run, and will not start. So I had to walk home. Eventually I paid for the fuel pump and brought it home. It ran fine. Although the car was fixed, the miscommunication and lying to me was unbelievable, I will never return. read more

referred to this shop from another business. went in for an estimate and talked about the issue with the owner. basically I was told nothing I didn't already know and was charged $45 dollars for the estimate. asked if I could apply the $45 to the repair was told that they can't do the repair because the part is unavailable from their suppliers. this was total b.s. as I was able to get a quote on the parts from the first part store I visited. an absolutely bogus estimate and a complete scam that left me $45 poorer. read more
