After 2 hours, we were able to get our food. My significant other found this place on Yelp, we drove 40 minutes away to try brunchaholics. When we got there, there were allot of cars in the parking lot that wrapped around the building. We thought the line of cars was for parking. After waiting behind cars for 25 mins there was an opening were we could go around the line of cars. Once we broke that line of cars we could see on the other side of the building there were a tun a parking spaces. Not until then did we know that the line we'd been in the entire time was for a drive through. There were 0 signs that said there was a drive through. Nor was this listed anywhere on there Yelp page so yea, we had no idea, because we'd come to dine in. We go inside and they said it'd be a 45 minute wait. This was after being literally stuck in the parking lot for 25 minutes. We decided to just order takeout. That took another 45 mins. We ordered the cat fish soul food burritos. The burritos were super basic and extremely bland. The Mac n cheese in the burrito was over cooked, had a thick slimy texture and was flavorless. The only thing that gave the burrit flavor was the hot sauce they gave us, however they only gave us one tiny condiment container of hot sauce so there wasn't really enough hot sauce to share. I also ordered the sweet potato cobbler. I truly expected somethin so unique to be delicious. I took 1 bite and was shocked by how gross and tasteless this was. I took another bite to be sure it was really that bad. I could not eat anymore. Sweet potatoes are my favorite food, since birth, so it has to be quite nasty for me not to eat it. Was able to visit this weekend to celebrate a friends birthday! I'll have to go again when it is less busy and windy since we were sitting outside. But I enjoyed my food! This is a different/cool experience as you review the menu and order from your table and provide your table number. I think it's a great idea but can be a tad difficult with larger parties. It's cool that they have a BYOB experience, and I loved reading and hearing about people's great experience with their start/precious location at the farmers market. While I didn't take photos this time, I had the buffalo Mac and cheese. Loved it and definitely getting it to go next time I visit and try something else! So one plate the grits were a good texture with no flavor and the other bowl had good flavor but was extra gritty. Idk I wanted them to win so bad but ya have to master the grits. The vibe was kind of interesting. People were outside smoking weed and truly enjoying themselves a little too much for my comfort. This is a restaurant, but they were giving day club vibes outside. Debunked previous review- there was no smoking weed on patio but there is car wash, Ross Ave and 7/11 nearby I did smell faint scent of weed at a time. Got the SOUL FOOD BURRITO which wasn't my first time getting it, I am a creature of habit, and it was just as AMAZING as it was the first time!!! My friend got the fish and grits, added sausage at NO EXTRA CHARGE! (they get an A+ just for that) I didn't taste it but it smelled GREAT. I wish I would have taken a picture because mine looked MUCH better than the one they have posted on their own website! However I took one bite and in seconds the damn thing was GONE! I really wanted to love Brunchaholics when I tried them a few weeks ago. The staff were great when we picked up our order, but my meal fell short. I tried the chicken and waffles. I'm always worried about getting white meat because so many places overcook it. This came with 3 nice sized chicken strips but they were extremely dry and overcooked. The flavor was good but didn't blow my mind and the waffle was just okay. Hate to say it, but it was not worth the $18 price tag. I also got the sopapilla cheesecake for dessert and it was even more disappointing. Barely any filling. Just $7 for a big chunk of bread. You can see it in the pictures I took. It's made by another company and sold at Brunchaholics. My hubs got the fish and grits which he said was good. I think I may give them another try just because they have so many great reviews. Wow! All I can say every Saturday & Sunday it is going down at the Farmers Market with Brunchaholics. They always crazy such a flavor menu of dishes to share with the Dallas community. They are known for their Soul Food Burrito which was featured on Food Network and I can totally see why! This burrito contains a catfish filet, collard greens and Mac n cheese wrapped in a jalapeño and cheddar tortilla. This burrito comes with hot sauce to dip with and is truly making Head waves. I do have to warn you, you have to arrive early. They open at 9am on Saturdays and they do tend to sell out quickly. I have also had their shrimp and grits and it is so worth a try! I definitely have to snag a bowl when they have it. So happy to see Brunchaholics at the Farmers Market and truly thriving. I can't wait to see what else will come. read more

Stumbled upon this place today and what can I say but amazing! The food is perfectly cooked. I got chicken and waffles and didn't leave a crumb on the plate. I'm a flex-a-tarian which means I'm vegetarian, pescatarian and an occasional cheese & meat eater lol. With that said, I went on a Thursday looking to get the salmon sandwich on the menu but it wasn't there. Oh, I should mention, I don't really eat chicken but I'll occasionally eat brisket or oxtail. So I got the brisket mac and cheese. It was great! Solid 9.3...But it was even better reheated. The cheese was perfectly melted after refrigerating and reheating. That brings me to my two small suggestions 1. Pour the access oil off (its oily but that's comfort food) 2. Allow the cheese to melt and mix it in then top it and that would make it a 10! read more

I waited over an hour and watched everyone in my table receive their food. The worst part was that when the server was notified, they didn't even try to bring out my food. I previously went to their pop up place quite awhile back and remembered how good their food was. Was excited to hear they had opened this new location in DeSoto (take out). We went recently and noticed the excellent customer service immediately; the young lady at the counter was very friendly, helpful and patient, as I tried to decide what I wanted to order. All of the staff were extremely professional. We ordered catfish, macaroni and cheese, and Soul Food Burrito (my first time trying it). My husband thoroughly enjoyed the catfish and he is a "catfish expert." I tasted it and agreed it was great. That Soul Food Burrito exceeded my expectations. It was quite a bit for the money. Absolutely love how they season their food. Their Mac & cheese was good... better than most restaurants. I'm looking forward to getting food from there frequently. (I messaged Keith Lee several times to visit them, and apparently many others too because he came by last week; gave them one of his better & well deserved reviews.) But I only got one and when you order it says it comes with fries when I opened up the box no fries where In the bag.
