We've frequented this place for many years through good and bad, today may be the final time for quite a while. We've enjoyed the best nachos in Langley on a couple of occasions, and been bitterly disappointed far too many times. It's a typical Browns, there are many in the LM to be found. The interiors are typically the same with a patio outside, indoor seating and hybrid outside with heaters and the ability to close it in entirely. The service is typically pretty good with staff appearing to be reasonably well trained. Today's nachos had far too much taco dust, if you can call it that. It over powered any other taste on the platter. The cheese was all gathered in the same spot and the toppings more scarce than normal. Our server didn't ask about the 3/4 leftover nachos when bringing the bill, which in itself is concerning. Two people should be able to pretty much decimate an order of nachos. It'll be some time before we return with so many other choices available to us. read more

I LOVED the Mandarine Chicken Salad!! The flavours were amazing! Loved the dressing, the peanuts, the peppers, all the textures worked so well together and the chicken was so flavourful and juicy and tender! Yum! Met here with family for a reunion, as we haven't been able to see each other for quite some time. Wait staff was excellent, making sure everyone had everything that they needed. I am a bit disappointed in that I had the Butter Chicken and was informed by the manager that it was being taken off the menu. Everyone's meals were exceptional... highly recommended. read more

We are new to Langley and came here last night for the first time and really enjoyed the food, vibe and excellent service - she was super kind and attentive!! Our kids (who are picky eaters) ate all their food without any complaints. They happily accomodated my requests for customization to a menu item and it was PERFECT!! I don't understand what is up with the service here at this particular location (and this before pandemic too) but everytime I come here to enjoy some food n drink the experience is terrible. Today came in for lunch with my brother. Got seated relatively quickly and then given some mumbled speech about an hour and a half seating time maximum. Ordered drinks at the top after waiting 10 minutes for our server to finally bring them. We were sat in the direct sun which was fine but my medication unfortunately doesn't allow prolonged time in the heat. I recall asking one of the staff if we could sit at the table with the shade. NEVER got a response back. On top of that the service (no shocker!) was extremely slow and well terrible to be honest. Over and over again I have been hoping things might improve here but alas I am wrong. Will recommend my friends to avoid this location if possible and to tell their friends the same. It's ridiculous!! Hire a new and better manager or better staff. Never coming back. You have my word. Maple Ridge will definitely be getting my business as Will Abbotsford. WAY BETTER service!!! It's so funny how some chain restaurants vary from location to location. This Browns is one of the good ones. The food is fresh, and the sauces and portions generous. My mainstay #28 Dragon Bowl is done here with perfection. So much tangy zesty yum in a heaping serving of perfectly cooked veg and protein. read more

Brown's Socialhouse is a Canadian chain restaurant that has several restaurants in the western provinces. The atmosphere is akin to Moxie's and Earls; featuring "Canadian" food with some world fusion dishes. I arrived on warm sunny day and really wanted to sit on the patio. There is two types of patios here: one is the basic, exposed to the elements patio that has a low fence to define the boundaries; the other patio has retractable windows and is similar to a sunroom. I sat in the sunroom patio as their was still a cool spring breeze in the air. The patio is very lovely. Lots of plants and wooden furniture give the area a outdoor feel. Our waitress greeted us promptly and allowed us to have ample time to view the menu. I ordered the ancient grain and kale salad and my guests ordered the crispy fried chicken ramen. The presentation of the food was amazing-carefully thought out. The salad greens were crisp and fresh. The dressing was just the perfect amount-not too much that is made the greens soggy. My guests mentioned the crispy friend chicken ramen did not taste authentic and the flavour profile of the dish was off. Overall, a nice place to go sit on the patio and eat salads, I would suggest not ordering the world cuisine. read more

When I first entered the doors it led to a half outdoor patio with heaters on top and a fireplace on the side. The ambiance was real nice and when I entered the restaurant, the first thing you would notice is the bar in the middle and T.Vs everywhere. Anywhere you sat, you could see a TV. It's a great place to watch the game. The service was decent and normal, I did ask for a side plate and it took the waitress 10 mins. The menu felt short and needed 1 or 2 more menu items under the food categorys. I came here to eat a dinner which was a mistake. This place is better for getting a drink and a snack to share. I ordered the nachos ($16) and assumed it would be good. It was not worth the price at all, it did not even come with sour cream. I also ordered the pizza which tasted bland but the crust was soft and Crunchy. I only give this place 3 stars because I am a foodie person. Sadly the food here is mediocre and missing something. The ambiance is great and warm, perfect for a small hang out to get a snack but not dinner here. read more

What a gong show. Ordered at 4 30 through Skip to deliver between 6 and 6 30. It's now 7 pm nothing has showed up. I can't cancel the order because the restaurant has accepted the order. I have tried chatting with SKIP and no one has responded to the Chats. I called your restaurant and spoke to a nice fellow who said they don't even see our order # 162308104 on your end. So I have a family of 4 here on mothers day, waiting for dinner that is now an hour late and we have a courier service who has taken my money on my mastercard for a meal that's not here, for a restaurant that has told me they don't have our order. What is going on! Totally unacceptable. We're going to start making our own food to look after ourselves. We were in Langley on a Saturday night, we tried to eat at Cactus and Milestones but both had super long waits, so we settled for Browns, which did not have any wait. We had the fettuccine carbonara and the spicy crispy chicken burger. The pasta was decent, except the chicken was dry. The chicken burger was not good at all. We immediately regretted ordering it after the first couple of bites. The chilli mayo just did not taste good with the chicken, also it was not spicy. Service was fine, prices are decent. We are sitting in the Langly location as I write this. So far our experience is very poor. Music in dinning room is so loud you cannot have a conversation. Moved to the patio. Very drafty and COLD. It took 15 minutes to get our wine and the one glass (pint grigio) was awful. Sent back took another 10 minutes to get a relacement. Burger arrived, pub burgers were great, tasty and hot. The yam fies were another story, cold and soggy. On a scale of 1 to 10 Food 5 service 2. Much better food and value at Cactus Club or Milestones. We have tried Browns prior with a similar experience. Christmas party venue, was the least impressive free dinner experience I've ever had. Wait staff could not get orders or tables right. The food was mediocre at best, arrived cold + soggy. Gave Browns a second chance today. Ordered the wonton soup once again great flavor but once again my wife's and mine was barley warm. Sent it back and instead of receiving a fresh hot bowl of soup we had the same bowl reheated and sent back to us. (Borderline acceptable temp wise ). After that we shared a dragons bowl while enjoying a bottle of what is there best red liberty street (that's there best ??) anyhow our server was very pleasant but very untrained. I have now been here a half dozen times. Pretty good food, pretty good service. If you choose to sit at the bar, hopefully you get some of the guy bartenders and not the unfriendly chick with the shorter dark hair, accent and tattoos....i don't think she likes customers. The fish dishes are pretty great, the hamburgers and pizza are above average and some of the bowls we've tried are good as well. We like the atmosphere here. It has a good vibe and i like the mix in the crowd. We will keep coming back as a place in our rotation of eating out. read more

Nice busy atmosphere, food came quickly. There isn't a very large craft beer variety here, but the seasonal tap I ordered was good! Service was pretty good, as time went on the manager was taking our drink orders because the waitress was swamped (poor gal, I hope he takes note and schedules more staff for busy evening times) The food wasn't great, but I don't have high expectations from this chain. I don't come out this way often, but given the choice I would choose a earls or cactus instead for the big box chains. read more
