Chris originally came out to look at our system as part of our Choice warranty, and immediately diagnosed problems that our previous AC person didn't find at all after multiple visits. When Choice didn't cover the claim, he assured that his prices would beat most places like Choate's and we agreed. He was having phone problems, so there were some issues getting things scheduled, with him sometimes coming pretty late in the evening. But when he showed up he went right to it and put us on a course to fixing the problem. Phone issues happen so I'm sure it was more frustrating for him. He found some duct issues and a part that had been installed backwards that was causing our system to not work right. None of this was found during the home inspection when we bought the house six months ago. He also found a mold issue inside our unit and provided options on how to fix that that we'll have him install soon. Here's our rating: Knowledge: 5 stars Scheduling: 3 stars (This is the easiest one to fix, so once the phone issue is resolved, it'll be at 5 stars.) Have called his phone at least 5 times, left numerous text messages, called his wife's phone...who btw, has no Voicemail set up, and sent her text messages as well. So, would I never deal with this company again, I will be reporting him to BBB as well as Choice Home Warranty as well as going after the money he required me to pay for a 1 yr Service agreement he insisted I pay before he would turn any of our claim into Home Warranty because the A/C unit was dirty!! Precision has been providing our family exceptional service for many years…read more Actually, it all started for us (before we got married) when my wife's heat went out during a bad winter storm. Larry himself (co-owner with Kathe) drove over - in the freezing cold and snowy roads - and got her heat back on. We have been using them ever since. Several years ago when my mother's attic unit was having problems, we had called another company to check it out. We were quoted $1,800 for only a repair. I called Precision and Larry came out - within an hour of receiving my call - on a Saturday. He was able to make the repair as part of the service call for less than $1,800. Larry did correctly suggest that her original attic unit should be replaced within a year. Seeing that the base unit was more than 50 years old, I knew he was right. We went with Precision for the new unit to be installed instead of the first company. Kathe even came out as they were installing the new unit; she is a pleasure to work with. After Precision replaced the unit, there was a problem - on a Sunday evening - and Evan drove up from Hernando, MS and was able to make some repairs to hold us over until the repairs were made. These folks truly do go "above and beyond" when it comes to providing quality, timely service. This includes everyone from Amanda's fielding of every call to Larry and Kathy coordinating everyone - as well as each technician who has helped us through the years. We highly recommend these folks to anyone who wants quality Heat and A/C service. You deserve it too - call them!

Contacted a few H&C companies in Raleigh. Got various price ranges all within $1,000 up or down…read more Some quoted cheaper units like Goodman and Bryant. Chad suggested Rheem. I did a little research. We trusted his opinion. We set a date, he arrived and was done in 9 hours. A side note. Ours was a little more complicated than most because it was an in wall air handler. The old unit was a Carrier which was not made any longer. So I was worried about the drywall being cut out too badly. Turns out only an 18" x 7" area needed to be patched. He gave us a 10 year warranty on parts and 5 year on labor. Rest is history.
