Note: it says Ultimate eye wear on the deal, but the store is named Vision Center. SURROUNDING: The store is in a small, very crowded shopping center. You will find parking, but you are going to have to flag it down like you are in Trader Joe's parking lot. CARE: Dr.Gnanakkan was very nice, approachable and easy to communicate with. He was quick but thorough with my eye exam. PRICE: Most frames range from $160-$250, plastic lens $75, additional $60 or so for polycarbonate lens. Their frames choices aren't that great- they have a lot of simple ones, but not much of the brands. SERVICE: I made an appointment, but had to wait ~15 minutes to be seen.. Also, when I was waiting, I overheard the optician offering to take 50% of her polycarbonate lens and other additional discounts, but he didn't bother to offer me any. Maybe it was because I used the Livingsocial deal. BOTTOMLINE: I got a good exam, pair of plastic lens glasses, and prescription for contact for $45. Not bad at all. Also, be sure to check out the Jewish deli next door!

The have so many frames to choose from and they truly help you pick frames that's best matches your fave, your style, etc. the have options that can be a bit pricy but they also have budget friendly frames as well, who know maybe some people's insurance would even cover it all but even if you have insurance that's not really helpful financially the ladies sure work with you so that you go home feeling good and looking good. The turn around time to pick up your new frames was approximately just shy of 2 weeks. Nonetheless, I felt comfortable, I felt heard, I felt cared for. After you get check-in, I was taken back immediately for the preliminary scans before seeing Dr. Granek it went by super quick. Next, I was taken into the exam room and waited no time for Dr. Granek to arrive. He is sooooooo down to earth, kind, loving, and takes his time with you. If you're looking for a new ophthalmologist look no further. Oh, and his tennis shoe collection is my favorite. He's a Nike fan just like me.

I decided to dispute the charge since I never received the glasses, they did respond to the dispute ensuring i was charged... yet I have never heard from them and till this day months later still don't have the glasses they charged me $1600 dollars for. I found the Dr who did my eye exam to be extremely thorough and patient. The exam considered lifestyle as well as the technical testing. There are a lot of nice frame selections in store. There were a lot of sunglasses options which confused me but apparently clear lens can be put in the frames ( I'm a newbie ). They sell Alain Mikli, Tom Ford, Givenchy, Michael Kors, Vera Bradley , Oliver Peoples to name a few. There are also many lower priced options. They also have really good 30 day policy that allows return of you are not happy with your new glasses. I didn't like the "building" the glasses phase. This is where you customize lenses . Again I'm a newbie but each piece involves a cost and I was not clear on the cost until I got the printout sheet which showed all. There should be a question and verification of each phase and level that you want. Such as what type of coating do you want on lens, transition, Uv protection etc. All in all I really like this business and I will return. Quick update: I actually took advantage of the 30 day return and went back and got another pair of glasses. I didn't like the pair that I originally chose. The new pair came in a week and I love them !!! Quick replacement and I added transition - there were no issues and minimal questions. I had a really disappointing experience with my contact lens order. The initial lenses I received…read morewere blurry, so I had to go back for an adjustment--specifically for my right eye. That was over a month ago. Since then, I've called multiple times to follow up, and each time I'm either left on hold for a long time or told that the order is being placed. As of today, I still have not received my contacts. I paid over $300, and at this point I don't have a product I can use. The lack of communication and follow-through has been extremely frustrating. I would not recommend based on my experience.
