The sandwich was not a traditional cheesesteak - it was on a ciabatta bun with chopped steak, but the bread was soft and tasty. It was excellent. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. 10/10!!! Our first time coming here and it was so good. The food was delicious; I got a steak quesadilla and it was literally the best quesadilla I've ever had. Definitely try the homemade ranch too!! My mom is gluten and dairy free and we were pleasantly surprised to find SO MANY OPTIONS for her here!! She ended up going with the grilled chicken and asparagus but it was hard to choose (a luxury she rarely has anywhere else). Despite our hundreds of questions, the staff were very helpful and kind explaining everything. The restaurant is also lovely, with a fun and colorful atmosphere. Got this place catered for a work lunch. All the food had good flavor. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were a little dry. The steak was really good and had a nice grilled flavor. One lunch and I am officially on the Bag-wagon! As reported by my fellow Yelpers, everything here is outstanding! I'll start with dessert... the banana pudding is a must. It's light and creamy pudding over banana bits and, this is critical for banana pudding aficionados, CRUNCHY vanilla wafers. At (are you kidding me) $2, how can anyone pass it up. They also have $1 brownies. (Hmmm, I wonder what brownies dipped in banana pudding tastes like?) Entrees and two sides run $9 to $10 and are delivered to your table amazingly fast and piping hot. We had the grilled chicken (their specialty) and steak. Both were delicious. The menu does not specify it but the cut of steak is London Broil, which can be a little tough and chewy, but theirs is tender, probably due to marianation. All the sides seem special. In particular, I Ioved the baby spinach salad with blackberries and dried cranberries. The mashed red skinned potatoes were also quite good. The Jalapeno Corn Casserole was my wildcard pick but it did not dazzle me. Customer service was uncommonly good also, somewhat reminiscent of what you receive at Chick-fil-A. I usually don't get tooo excited for Teriyaki chicken and places usually dont season the steak enough or its over cooked but they perfected it! It is very clean inside and they have outdoor seating. I decided to get a plate with one meat and two sides. The teriyaki chicken, red mashed potatoes, and berry slaw. My total was about $9. Everything was out in about 5 mins or so. The portions size was very big and I had leftovers for dinner that night. The ingredients you could tell were very fresh and everything was made with car. I am so grateful for this business. My husband was sick and out of work for months, and a friend brought over a meal for our family. We liked it so much that I went another time to buy a meal for the family. I told the woman at the counter while ordering that it was my first time and I was there because someone brought over a meal and we loved it. She asked if my husband was still out of work. I had the steak sandwich which was very tender and flavorful. I also got the spinach salad and the corn casserole as sides. The spinach salad was great; it came with good dressing and plenty of fruit. The corn casserole, however, was not my favorite. Let me start by saying I have always been pleased with the food here and have eaten here several times. I went in today to order to go since Covid is going on. There is a mask mandate in doors, but the one female, and one male working in the kitchen had no face coverings on. Heck, they didn't even have hair coverings on. Then I watched in dismay as the male kitchen worker was speaking to the order taker, and he had his head and unmasked face literally hanging right over our food that was sitting on the counter a mere 12 inches or less from his face. I was in shock. But it gets better. Both kitchen workers wore a glove on one hand but were touching everything with both hands, so I am really unsure what that one gloved approach is going to do in regards to not spreading germs. And then, I saw the female kitchen worker go to grab our tacos with her bare hand! Thankfully she caught herself when she was a mere inch away from grabbing it. Of course she just switched to the gloved hand to better place the tacos within the to-go container. Yep, the one I had been watching her use to pretty much touch everything else back in the kitchen. So folks, if you are at all concerned with keeping yourself safe from Covid, while trying to support businesses such as this one, you might want to rethink that. I know I will NOT be going back there until Covid is far in our rearview mirror, and perhaps I will never go back after witnessing their lackadaisical attitude regarding proper sanitation measures during a pandemic. read more
