Village Mobil Auto & Tire - Village Mobil after the removal of the gas pumps

Village Mobil Auto & Tire

My young son bought his first car, all on his own, before going off to college this fall. He bought…read moreit used from a family friend and fellow church member who did their very best to make sure the car was going to treat him well for years to come. They had had all the work on the car done at Village Mobile in Waunakee while they owned it. Before deciding to sell it they took it in to them again to get a full and thorough inspection. It was inspected and a list of all the issues found was created. This list was passed on to my son before he purchased it. In total, they noted $1,800 of things to be fixed. We proceeded to fix the majority of those things for a total of $550. That $1,800 is clearly a major rip off of the customer. When fixing the items they noted, we discovered there was a crack and two large rust holes in the rear subframe. Totally obvious to even a non car person with out taking anything apart. I called Village Mobile to ask them about this oversight to such a major issue with the vehicle. They said they did not feel they were responsible in any way. I assured them, I did not expect them to take care of the issue free of charge. I just asked that they consider seeing what could be done to help my son get the car fixed so it was safe to drive at a reasonable price. I asked that they have compassion and see if they could do what ever they could to keep the cost down for him given they had missed something that was such a safety issue. They called today with the quote to get it repaired and I was absolutely flabbergasted! With a used subframe, mind you, they quoted us $2,000 to fix it!!! As I said earlier, the original quote, after a supposedly thorough inspection was $1,800, to fix all of the cars issues. Now they are telling us it will be $2,000 to fix the issue they completely missed. I don't know about you, but I would not trust anyone in that business to look at, quote, or do any work on my vehicle. In my opinion, this is gross negligence and complete incompetence. Not to mention price gouging, no compassion, or self conscious. For reference, here is a picture of what they did not see upon inspection. This is unacceptable on so many levels. I hope everyone reading this will think twice about doing business with Village Mobile in Waunakee and you will spread the word far and wide that this is not a company you can trust with your business.

When we dropped the car off and picked it up it was at our convenience. When the repairs were complete, minus a pair of nameplates that were on back order, Tim had us pick up the car and we returned later in the week for a few minutes to have the badges installed...we were very excited to return the rental and get our new car back, and the Lynch Auto team made sure it was in a timely manner. The repairs were of the highest quality, our Jetta looks fresh off the factory floor. It's also great that they are a locally owned, family business. I would not hesitate to return to Lynch Auto Body and will recommend them any chance I get.

Copy and paste the link to hear your first story. Do you need a reminder of our conversation on 1/6/25, where the story changed? I have that audio. https://www.facebook.com/share/14kzKs9Ew4/?mibextid=wwXIfr I had to have my insurance company follow up with you to see if my car was complete. As you can see from the texts, that was on 1/6/25. I picked up my car on 1/6/25. Your statement about "not releasing" my car due to me not paying is false. I was in an insurance covered rental car. Do you really think they are going to continue to pay for my rental knowing my car is complete? Not once did I deny to pay my bill, which was only my deductible, mind you. You stated you couldn't waive the deductible because that's illegal. I never asked you to waive it. Also, where did you get the information that I had auto body work done and didn't return to that shop? Because that is also false. This is my first claim. I've had the same insurance company since 2012. Should I contact my insurance company and get my claim information/history? And you saying I tried to take advantage of a small business? Far from, again, I chose your business because of the number of years you have been in service. I chose to shop local and support a small business. I will not let you bully me or defame my character because I simply posted my experience with your business. If you don't want a negative review, treat your customers better. As you can also see from attached pics, Tim likes to private message his customers and name call.

Meffert Oil - Adding a fancy schmancy car wash

I had just spoken to the credit company an hour before this and was informed that I was OK to use it. The person working (Kevin I believe) was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. I attempted to pay with my card, tried the ATM, called the credit company and had no way to resolve the payment at that time. I live an hour away yet work M-F 5 minutes away. I explained my situation to him and asked if I could stop in tomorrow with payment and he began to raise his voice, threaten me, and just completely hostile. I informed him that I have no one in the area that I could call for assistance and once again asked if I could simply leave my information with him and return the next day with payment. He refused (and it was an hostile refusal - yelling at me, telling me I should not be getting gas and not have a way to pay....) he ended up calling the police which resulted in me getting a $125 ticket. The situation is what it is and I have paid for my gas and now have to pay for the ticket. This could have been much much better customer service and not to mention could have been handled better on his part. Instead of working with me through what was already an embarrassing situation he made it so much worse with his HORRIBLE customer service.

**** ZERO stars **** Avoid Waunakee Super-Lube! Last week,…read moreI went in there for an oil change. They started the oil change and then told me they couldn't complete it because my mechanic had blocked the oil filter and they needed a special tool that they didn't have. Turns out that they rotated a radiator hose clamp into the oil filter housing. Yesterday, I took my car into my regular mechanic for the oil change. Over the course of the past week, the direct contact with the oil filter housing and car vibrations damaged the hose and antifreeze was leaking. Thankfully, my mechanic caught it. I went back to Waunakee Super-Lube and asked how this could happen. The manager smirked and laughed, and said they didn't do anything - it was my mechanic's fault. Bulls*%#!! Their incompetence and dishonesty has now cost me over $600. Steer clear of Waunakee Super-Lube!! In response to the owner's reply: The facts remain that I had a radiator hose leak, which resulted in total repair bill of $650. The other facts: 1) The last time I had any work done on my car was with the mechanic in March 2025, which was the last oil change. 2) I came into Waunakee Super-Lube for this latest oil change. 3) A week later, I took it into my mechanic for the oil change and he saw the radiator hose was against the oil filter housing, and was leaking anti-freeze. I was half down in fluid which he topped off. 4) I came back today to have it fixed - when I pulled off the highway to get to the shop, there was white steam coming out from under my hood. So if you didn't have this special tool, how did the radiator hose get pushed against the oil filter housing? A hook tool might have been used to do the work of this tool, which didn't work hence the claim of needing a special tool. If my mechanic caused this, it would have been months ago and I would have had problems long before this past week. I attached photos that I took last week. Have a real nice day too, and bless your heart.

Theyve done an oil change and a once over on my car-not as invasive as I feel was needed. Ive broken down twice needing a tow since. Thats not what I came here to talk about though. They certainly had not caused those issues, but it would have been helpull to know. They cost me time from work and money besides. My issue is with how the owner not only answered the phone but continued to speak to me when I was telling him my new dilemma (Im in bankruptcy and have struggled keeping a running vehicle. Ive learned a lot and can do much of the work myself). I have learned enough to know what I don't want to do myself. Mainly because it is now winter in freezing outside and Im without a garage. He never let me finish a sentence and was frustrated when he couldnt get the story straight. Every question he asked was biting and condescending, where if he let me finish and listened he would have had the answers. When he finally got a better picture of the issue he responded with 'I have a hard time believing that.' He went from 'thats not possible' to 'if we had done that' to 'this is what we do when that happens'. It turned into one of the situations where he said too much because he thought I didn't understand what he was saying. Looking at Google and the description-its an absolute lie. All of the part stores in the area know me. By name. And Ive taught the young bucks behind the counter a thing or two. I am smart enough to ask about the things that I don't know and I know how to ask nicely. He'd begrudgingly told me to make it in by 7:15 am to fit me in. Didnt offer the work for free (removing the leaking oil drain plug that they didnt use a crush washer with and is not coming out), didnt go into what could may be done to fix it and what they can offer for any price. I know how to fix it, his customer services was the worst Ive experienced in a long time.

The personal touch provided by Ken, the business owner and sole employee of All Morris Auto left a…read morelasting impression with me. After being blown off by some bigger area mechanics; who told me it could be a couple of weeks to get in to have my flat tire inspected, repaired; or possibly replaced. It seemed because of Black Friday and the expected Thanksgiving & implied other upcoming Holiday travel; all the local 'jingle stuck in my head' mechanics were swamped with well meaning, winter wary travelers reserved in advance to avoid a call to AAA whence to Grandmother's house they go. Of mention as well were the deal conscious penny pinching epitome of a holiday gift-giving-pro last minute regret-less, thrift shoppers wanting to be sure they could flee the scene, to evade capture for all the others of their ilk who they were surely to trample savagely to save 5% on Junior's stocking stuffers and other petroleum based sundries. Like Mike Brady said, "A gift is only a good thing if the giver has given thought to that gift; but if the gift the giver gives; gives the givee grief, than that gift should give the giver regrets." The amount of planning shows thought a-plenty! I nearly gave up plans for my only weekend off for a while to come. Then, as if Santa and the Easter bunny both answered my imaginary missive letter at once, and it had been notarized by the Tooth Fairy who called on Mister Mcfeely, who dashed back riding speedy in Captain Kangaroo's pouch my last minute web search brought me to Yelp - page four of that list of local mechanics dropped a diamond amid the rough of corporate cookie-cutter could care less profiteer mongers. All Morris sparked a hope that my plans would bear fruit from the seed planted in my imagination. It was within comfortable driving range on a donut-spare, and I could get there staying off the main roads and it was just a hop skip, and a licorice-whip n' a half off Fish Hatchery Road. I swift punch at the call option; a ring 'n a half later a Gentleman politely greeted me, asked how he could help! What? Not having to wait fifteen rings, to be notified I am to hold -- five minutes, nor curt answering machine "greetings" that revealed they were helping another "customer" and please try my call again later? If you have read this far, you probably gather I am anything but customary. I have been called some C-words before and at least by those who I have called loved ones, or acquaintances. I don't feel like a customer, I feel like a person -- who had an untimely emergency as we all do from time to time. As I found out in Ken's shop, I had run over a screw, which seemingly appeared to cause my own emergency. Within the hour of my call, Ken's welcoming demeanor, and the open atmosphere of his shop as he let me see him perform his craft gave an air of trustworthiness there; which could be ascertained in the whole 10 minutes it took to patch my tire and send me for the quiet country cruise I had planned for myself. It was a sigh of relief to deal with All Morris Auto. It was almost therapeutic, and I have already decided I will have Ken do my brakes before the month is out instead of going to my regular guy in Mount Horeb, which is out of my way. The only downside I see to the plan is Ken does not charge enough for the quality of service he provides, I was expecting to be spending more because I know I am worth it; and my much needed, few and far between -- leisure time; is worth it. By the looks of All Morris' business hours, Ken works near 12 hour days, so I am sure he can appreciate the time of others more than places who can't let you see them work on your vehicle because of the potential you would have to hear the foul mouths of the Keebler elves they keep behind closed doors, who are there away from the customer's. Metaphorically, of course. There is nothing wrong with those waiting room coffee, read a hundred times paper, revolving door places, they help people too. All Morris Auto helped me today; in lieu of all the monetary compensation I thought they deserve I decided to split the difference by taking the extra few minutes to put effort into leaving them a thoughtful review. Being the change you want to see in the world can often be a hard path. My seeming emergency brought me into the knowing of another; who treats people kindly and puts forth the extra effort to excel at their craft to help others; even when there are not fantasy magical myth nice naughty list making marketing hype holidays to rush planning while missing those in need of kind words, good deeds, in the present moment. The change I am, is to be present to listen, be compassionate, and help others with my craft, being kind of heart every day of the year. 365 days spreading cheer, and being loving, kind, and good willed. On my busiest day I will at least find another in my field who can help you, if I am unable. I Highly recommend this business. So far it seems to be a well kept secret.
