But took a while to check back on us, When he checked on us I was halfway through my burger and my friend said his food was great and I didn't get a chance to comment. Meh. Filled me up. He got a giant bun with a couple tablespoons of meat and cheese. I've worked in kitchens and as a server, that's just lazy. Lazy kitchen management and lazy communication. My wife, father in law, and I went to brothers to watch the March madness championship game. When we showed up we were greeted at the door and were told we can sit anywhere we would like. The service: We had a seat and were greeted by our waiter (Jonah) who was very friendly and attentive to our order. He refilled our drinks multiple times without asking which was great! He gave us time with the menu and checked on us regularly. The service throughout the whole night was fantastic so thank you Jonah for your care during our visit. The food: We started with Brothers cheese curds and fried pickles. The fried pickles were sliced very thin and were fried well. They were very good, but they were sliced so thin that they did not have a ton of pickle flavor. I am a huge fan of pickles so this was a little sad to me but they were very crispy and tasty despite this. The cheese curds were unbelievable though! I have had cheese curds in any places and have never loved them or thought they were great. Brothers changed that option, the cheese curds there are perfectly made. They have a great breading that has a crunch while the cheese is soft, warm, and delicious. They were served with ranch and marinara. I love ranch but they were better dipped in the marinara. For my entree I ordered the jalapeño burger which was awesome! It had a cream cheese on it that was creamy and tasty and balanced out the heat of the jalapeños. I love spicy and these jalapeños did not disappoint. They were sliced in half and maybe grilled for a while. I thought the burger was well cooked leaving it juicy without much pink. I got sweet potato tater tots as my side and they were really good. It was a small side for being a $1.50 up charge for the tater tots. But they were very good despite the small portion and the price. My father in law also got the jalapeño burger and asked for a side of red salsa that he put on it and he loved it. My wife ordered the taco salad and thought it was great. I took a few bites and it was really good. For dessert we got a scoop of vanilla ice cream with chocolate and caramel on it. It was very frozen when it came out to us but after letting it sit for a few minutes it was a great sweet treat to end our meal. The ambiance: This place is very much a bar style restaurant that had plenty of tvs to watch all the games that you could want. We were there for the NCAA tournament championship and it was on 80% of the tvs. But I also was able to watch the nuggets game and the Rockies game without missing anything. They have a stage where they due live music on certain nights. They also have a couple pool tables and other forms of entertainment. I would recommend Brothers bar and grill to anyone looking for someplace to watch a sports game and have reasonably priced food that is good. I went in there at about 7pm on Sunday. There were literally 7 customers in the place, 4 customers at the bar and 3 at a table. There were 4 employees. 2 behind the bar doing nothing. 1 server was leaning against the wall staring at her phone and yet another server flirting with the guys at the table. I waited 5 minutes for someone to even acknowledge another customer, never happened. Don't waste your time with this joint, which I think is probably a money laundering operation. read more

After seeing the other reviews I was worried going in for lunch thinking the worst. We ordered the appetizer sampler from the sweet server named Vinny. He was so helpful and got everything right. The appetizer plate ended up being so so good! Best nachos I've had in a long time,'the lettuce on them really added something! Then we had burgers and a chicken sandwich, all of us were very impressed with our meals. We liked the roominess of the restaurant, and the games you could play. It was a comfy booth too. We came in for dinner with some friend's of our and to watch the game. It was busy when we went in and I get that but holy crap they took forever to even come to our table the first time let alone when we needed refills or to order food. We had to go to the bar if we wanted something. They did have a live band going though which was fun but hands down the service is what made me give this place a bad review. The food also was meh. The burger I got just tasted blah and was nothing special at all. The cheese curds were also ok but had so much grease in them it was ridiculous. Stoped in for dinner on a Sunday because my daughter frequented the location in Lawrence while at KU. She enjoyed her Long Island Ice Tea and thought it reminded her of college. Seems like this would be a good 3.5 star place. Service gets a 5, food is around a 2. Nice outside patio on a nice night. Service was very prompt throughout, even though our dog wasn't on her best behavior. Food came out quick too. That said, overall food quality wasn't great. Pretzel sticks were puffy rather than dense, and they seemed kind of wet and tasteless. Mustard didn't have flavor, and the cheese dipping sauce was cold. Grilled chicken sandwiches were dry and rather tasteless. Neither the chips nor fries were anything to write home about. My daughter seemed indifferent about her roast beef sandwich. For the record, our dog liked the grilled chicken and roast beef better than the pretzel and fries. With so many other options in the area, we won't be in a hurry to be back. On the bright side, most things on the menu were $11-14, which is better than just about any other sit down place. read more

Well. I've been coming here for YEARS, because it's close, and there are GATOR BALLS. They're my worst food vice, probably. So unhealthy. So fattening. So FRIED. And so DELICIOUS. Chicken, wrapped in bacon, with a cheesy center, deep-fried. YUM. I met a friend for happy hour on Wednesday. To our surprise--we hadn't been here in quite a while--there was plenty of parking. Okay, so it wasn't Friday. We got a booth, and Wyatt hustled to take our orders. He was GREAT. Cheerful, friendly, very personable. The gator balls were awesome. I could only eat two. We ordered double vodkas with tonic/soda. Weakest drinks EVER. Pathetic. For my second, I asked Wyatt to bring the vodka and the tonic separately, so I could be sure that there WAS vodka. He did, and this is the way. I ordered the boneless wings, on Wyatt's recommendation, mostly to take home. These were NOT wings. These were NUGGETS. Teeny, tiny, overpriced NUGGETS. Very disappointing. The lemon pepper sauce was okay. Not great. My friend had the chicken Ranch wrap, which she liked, but her fries were pale, cold, and undercooked. I only stole ONE. So that may be the explanation for why Brother's was underpopulated at happy hour: weak drinks and overpriced food. Bad fries. It's not difficult to properly cook crispy, golden, delicious fries. But the kitchen failed here. We might come back. I do love the gator balls. But both our favorite bartenders are long gone. Weak drinks are just sad. Pale, cold fries are an abomination. We're going to Earl's next week. I shall avoid the glass-snatching server if she's still there. Previously, my only complaint about Brother's was that it was overly LOUD. The music, the yapping trivia guy who loved to talk nonstop, the band. Impossible to have a conversation. This time, the noise level was fine. Maybe they finally listened. It does make a difference. I have wanted to try this place for quite some time but I always forget about it. Today I finally made it in and I understand why it's so forgettable. The waitress was super nice, I mean super nice. She told us that she had to go to a HR class about not touching people but I won't hold that against her because she was genuinely nice. Unfortunately she was not very attentive. It was hard to track her down for drink refills. Now we did come in during a Bronco game but the place was only half full. It took forever to get our chips and salsa and then we ended up sending them back because the chips were stale. The rest of the food was meh..... basic bar food. If this was my neighborhood and I felt like watching a game, grabbing a beer and maybe getting a bite sure I would come here but this is not my neighborhood and my neighborhood has a place like this that I would just go to. read more

Ok so this is a bar and grill with plenty of seating inside and out with great Ambiance but service was sub par at best, as we didn't even see a waitress for 15 mins. Tuesdays is $3 cheeseburger night. For $3 it is a phenomenal cheeseburger. They also have great deals on drinks throughout the week. Brothers Bar & Grill (Not to be confused with My Brothers Bar which is a Denver hot spot) is a chain bar and grill that has plenty of space, a good selection of beers on tap, and a bar faire type menu that will meet most patrons needs. I would compare it to other big sports bar chains such as Buffalo Wild Wings, with a bit less emphasis on a specific food item. The food here is good and filling but is not going to win any culinary awards. It comes out quickly and is reasonably priced. The service here is hot or miss. We have been a few times and while it has never been busy our bartender/ server (we have sat at the bar on each of our visits) have been great 2 of the 3 times. The other time they seemed preoccupied with other bar related tasks and had to be flagged down to get help. Never checked anyone's ID's and completely ruined my night with underaged high schoolers being there. I have never had such a bad experience. They tried to charge me double for a drink and only when I specifically spoke up they reversed the charge on my card. They tried to take advantage of me after I had such a horrible experience at this bar. I would never come here someone as age as apparently they take advantage of underage high schoolers who are not legally allowed to order a drink to make a profit as they're margins are apparently very slim. read more

Our favorite bar in all of Colorado and by far their best location. We've been coming here for years and have seen so much change and improvement. They remodeled and added a full backyard adult playground with an outdoor bar, a stage, plenty of outdoor seating, heat lamps, cornhole, and more. They have really good specials on a daily basis and they change them up monthly. The service is always great as we've become regulars and we really do feel valued on each visit. The food is honestly amazing- go figure being that it's all from Wisconsin. The cheese curds are killer, gator balls are mind-blowing, burgers so good, an amazing spicy chicken sandwich I dream of constantly - there's just nothing you can order that won't be good. Whether inside on a cold night playing shuffleboard and having great drinks or outside listening to a live band on a Friday night- it's always a fun time here. The only good thing about this place was the very attentive servers who were hustling the entire time. It's really too bad the kitchen staff doesn't share their zeal for customer satisfaction. I ordered a 'fried chicken' wrap and it was abysmal. Soggy chicken, no blue cheese, just not good. I felt badly for my fellow diners one who was served a pathetic salad that wouldn't feed a bird and the other who ordered fish and chips. I don't think she even touched her food. Worse, mine was cold. The sweet potato tots were sad and cold. Luckily, we had not seen each other in a while and so we spent the evening shouting to each other over the blaring music on the speakers. Once our server delivered our meal we didn't see anyone again which made getting a soft drink virtually impossible. There are many many choices of places to eat in this area. The service was great, we got sat faster than the wait time we were given & all our food came out hot & on time. I got the buffalo chicken wrap & it was very good. All the food is definitely on the greasier side, but that's what I was looking for that day personally. They had a dj which I thought was very cool (we went earlier on a Sunday.) It's very much a bar vibe, but they had mocktails which I appreciate as a sober person. Overall I gave it a 4/5 stars. The DJ aspect was cool, but the music felt way too loud for the time of day & crowd. We went here with a group of former neighbors while we were visiting town. We only had drinks and appetizers. This place is DEAFENING, so if you want to converse with your friends, don't go unless you can sit outside. We went on a rainy evening in August and still stood in the doorway to the outside just to be able to hear. The beer prices are decent, so it has that going for it, but far too many of the appetizers are just deep fried stuff. There weren't a lot of options if you didn't want that beyond a quesadilla that was fair at best. I will give kudos to our waitress. She was right on top of the drinks all night. After getting off work late, I was just looking for some good tacos that were not Taco Bell. Everything was closing, and Brothers bar and grill were open till 2am, so i decided to go. I ordered the famous cheese curds and their chicken tacos. The food was alright, nothing special. The chicken was not overcooked, but it needed more seasoning, and the cheese curds where cheese curds. The price of everything was around 20$. The services was the best part of the entire visit. Everyone was so helpful and nice. The restaurant was pretty clean, but it's more of a bar club vibe rather than a restaurant grill. The kitchen closes at 11 pm, so don't go to late expecting to get food. There was a dj playing loud music, which i was not a fan of. The restaurant was pretty empty, with only 10 - 15 people there.
