Typically, I am not one to complain, not to mention feel as if I need to publicly voice my complaints; but with the state of the world being what it is, I just can't understand why anyone would be this rude to a complete stranger so I have to say something. On our drive home after finishing a walk around Houghton's Pond yesterday evening, my young son and I decided to stop at this farm stand in hopes of purchasing some fresh veggies for dinner. We pulled in, as another car was pulling out and parked. As I was starting to walk over, a woman, who identified as being "on the board" came over to me and exasperatedly started to yell/tell me that where I had parked "didn't make sense," & that now "others were going to have a problem" because of me. I apologized, and let her know it was our first time there, and I had seen another car parked there so I assumed that it was okay but would absolutely move. (My car was not parked in the way at all. There was ample room for all the cars to get in and out.) She then threw her hands up and said "yea well I don't know where you should park. But maybe if you see cars coming in you can tell them to park over there instead." She walked away and just clearly was having a very bad day. This is very unfortunate, however her bad day was not my fault and getting yelled at in a parking lot in front of other people is not the way to fix it. Might I suggest, since she was "on the board", that they define the parking spaces so this doesn't happen again? Might I also suggest to them that they designate a parking attendant instead of demanding a potential customer do it?
We will NOT be returning to this farm stand. read more
