Of course, we made it on the last night...Labor Day weekend (Friday), we were able to make it part of a trip to Marshfield so it was great. We made the trip....traffic was not to bad, which was a huge bonus. Upon arrival, we noticed that it was a very busy night at Langwater...tons of cars parked in the front of the farm in an orderly fashion. We were lucky enough to get a spot near the entry and make our way to the Farm. Immediately, we saw two lines....one for pizza and one for drinks (at the bar). The lines moved quickly. The stafff at Langwater has a real great process of getting each order in and moving on to the next customer. Obviously, they have done this before! The pizza that we ordered as "excellent". The wood-fired ovens were roaring and pumping pizza's out quickly! The bartenders at the bar were just as quick. Plenty of help and everyone moving through the drink line was awesome to see. Music was being played with hundreds of families and friends laying around on their blankets and beach chairs, which made everyone happy and the vibe relaxed! I would love to come back here when the farmstand is open and to try some chicken wings and ice cream....which I decided not to try this visit. After doing my homework and reading reviews on apartmentfinder and rent.com, I narrowed it down to three choices before choosing Lenox Farm. Eleni was my leasing agent. She was helpful, pleasant and courteous, and always prompt in getting back to me. When she was not available I found Andrew to be great at answering questions and getting back to be in a timely fashion. Kudos to both of them for being so great. They helped make my move (both in and out) as well as my overall experience at Lenox Farm easy and enjoyable. Obviously one's experience is going to vary upon where they live in this or any other community. My unit was in the back corner on the second floor. After doing such thorough research I expected it to be quiet, but I had no idea that I would never hear a single surrounding neighbor. Couple that with the fact that I had a private garage that entered directly into my unit, and I knew I had made the correct choice. During my one year stay at Lenox Farm, I tried to see the negatives that other reviewers had pointed out. Yes, occasionally people parked alongside the curb right outside of their unit. However, it was always addressed pretty quickly as the cars would only be there for a week or two before returning to the correct parking spaces. I would say I walked around the community a fair amount, particularly in the nicer months, and never found any stray animal waste. The clubhouse, pool, gym, and other amenities were always available when they were supposed to be, well maintained and enjoyable. I spent more than my fair share of time at the pool Last Summer. The community grounds were always meticulously maintained, and snow removal never caused even the slightest delay in my daily routine. If I had to find something to gripe about it would be the following: -Occasionally the shower would take a while before hot water was present, even in the warmer months. -The price seems a little on the high side (Rent was equivalent to a mortgage on a $425,000 house) considering it's Braintree and not the city, but is consistent with surroundings communities, and by far the best value. (meaning they're all overpriced). -The front gate was broken and stayed open for months at a time. Before moving a little further south to be closer to work I had a change of heart and wanted to stay at Lenox Farm, but by that point my unit was already leased to another (apparently it's a desirable unit). Nobody's fault but mine. Overall my experience at Lenox Farm was great and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering renting south of the city.

Every year we would get to come here and learn about all the animals and nature. Just absolutely beautiful. Easy to get to although not much parking. Great paths to walk, run or ride your bike. I see a lot of people walking their dogs here too but if a festival is going on you'll want to double check because they usually don't allow dogs those days even when leashed. They have a Harvest and craft fair here every year. If you have kids (and even if you don't) it's a must see! There are sheep, birds, goats, rabbits, geese and ducks! My absolute favorite is Simba the cow. He is awesome and loves people. Rescued from a farm in NH he's "livin the dream" now. You can't feed them except for the chickens. They also sell fresh eggs here. I think they run about 4$ a dozen. There's a port a pottie on site. They have tons of signage here for when your walking or biking the paths. Also, many different plants and trees with the names of them attached. It's not huge but it's definitely worth a visit and I promise you'll be hooked on the beauty of this place. Wow, I can't say enough good things about Canton Equestrian!! I've been riding there for a year and…read morea half and everything about it is great. Here are the best parts: 1) you get a real sense of community. No matter which lesson I ride in, the other riders are always friendly and encouraging and it's really easy to make friends. Newsletters go out frequently to keep everyone updated on the latest barn news and events, and if you follow the barn on Instagram you can see pictures of all the horses that you love all week! 2) great instruction. I've been riding since I was 8 and have had many instructors, and David is by far the best one I've ever had. He finds new ways to challenge me in every lesson and I always leave feeling like I learned something! Each lesson is different, incorporating different riding activities using ground rails, jumps etc. to build core skills. David is also really flexible with my crazy schedule and is really responsive to emails. 3) the barn owners and staff are the best. Everyone is really friendly and is so willing to help if you have any questions or anything. You can tell that they really care about the welfare of the horses and the upkeep of the property. Laurel is my fav, she is super friendly and always on top of everything! When I first emailed Canton to inquire about lessons, she responded to me within the hour. I was nervous about starting back up again at a new barn where I didn't know anyone but she was so friendly and positive that I felt better right away. 4) the school horses are top-notch. I've ridden at barns where it was common for the school horses to buck, rear, take off unexpectedly, etc. but the ones at Canton are extremely well-behaved and there are horses for every level of rider. 5) the property has three rings, including an indoor ring, and access to trails. All you have to do is cross the street and boom! You and your horse are in a gorgeous trail. Also, there's a driveway that loops around the entire property which is perfect for a warm up or cool down on a nice day! Also, if you're a parent and you want to watch your kid ride, there's a viewing room over the indoor arena where you can take a comfy seat and watch your child conquer the world on the back of a horse. 6) heated tack room and restroom. If you've been in the horse world for a while, you probably know how important (and hard to find!) these can be. Most barns that I've been to only have port-o-potties outside (yuck) but Canton has a HEATED indoor restroom with complete with a sink. There's even Febreze in there, because, you know. Of equal importance is the heated tack room- in the winter it's great to that the bits are always warm in the tack room so you don't have to warm them up in your hand before bridling your horse. And of course the indoor arena means you can ride in any weather! TLTR: Canton Equestrian has friendly people, well-behaved (and totally loveable) horses, and great property and facilities. Whether you're new to horses or have been riding horses all your life, I would recommend this place for you!
