This is the place to take your BMW. Period. We have a '99 M3 (original owner, only 36000 miles) that needed a make-over and man, did these folks do an excellent job. The car had been idle for more than 4 years with no fuel stabilizer, no starting, no trickle charging, no nuthin'. The good people at Brooks Auto Doctor have this car running beautifully, just like new. Additionally, we needed a new convertible top and they had a recommendation, saw to it that our car made it there, was taken care of and treated well. Bruce and the team at Brooks Auto Doctor did a great job keeping my two Audis (1995 A6; 1997 A6 wagon) humming. I got both cars used and they were kept in great shape partly by Brooks Auto Doctor -- I say "partly" because I lived out of state at different times. Repairs were done well and I always felt I could trust their recommendations for "this can wait" or "you really need to get this done." I would recommend this shop to anyone with a German car, and now that they also handle Asian I assume they offer the same quality service but don't have first-hand experience. My first Audi lasted until 195,000 miles (was running great when it was totaled in an accident), the second A6 had 283,000 miles when it was struck by the dreaded "other guy." I had my uncles 500 SL towed to Brooks Auto Doctor on a flat bed. Someone had used a jack on the car & damaged many parts under the car. Bruce the owner called me when he got the car & explained the extent of the damage. He also used his cell to docUment the damage. I had a very unique experience at this business. Our car had a hard to find problem. We had to take it back a few times and replaced a lot of parts. In the end they found a unrelated issue that fixed it. Being an honest team they refunded us for unneeded parts and labor. These guy do know what they are doing. They are not really cheaper than, say, Autohaus, who have a much nicer shop and are way more convienient. I like to judge a shop by how neat and tidy they keep the place and Auto Doctor kind of looks like your neighbors garage...a mess. They have done work for me and I was satisfied but I will take my care to Autohaus and pay less money. For instance: asked for a quote on brakes for my BMW and for the exact same equipment Autohaus was 82.00 less. You do the math and decide. Hey, its your money! read more

I highly recommend Brooks. My 2002 Mini Cooper developed an oil leak, so slow that it didn't need oil, but was noticed from under the car. I have always used the dealer in Portland for repairs, and some how they failed to properly assemble the oil cartridge after the last change. To repair, Brooks installed an upgraded oil unit. They happened to have one in the shop, which they sold to me for less than the current dealer price. These guys are thorough, knowledgeable, fair. If you have a BMW, Benz or Cooper, give them a try! read more

I was in Eugene from Seattle and my clutch slave cylinder went out on my BMW. The tow truck driver recommended Auto Doctor so I took his word for it. The shop originally said that it would take a few days to get to our car but when they heard that we were from out of town they looked at the car even though they were about to close and ordered that part that night. They got the part and fixed the car by noon the next day and seemed completely happy to have helped. Great folks! read more
