I wish I could give this place zero stars. Walked in around 4pm and the place was packed with kids and the owner was yelling at a kid (couldn't have been older that 14) telling him to shut the f*ck up and meet out oh his store. I tried to talk to him but he was to busy tracking the kids to make ensure that they weren't shoplifting and kept interrupting me to yell at a kid. I get it but, there are better ways to handle that. He often runs pre-release events during weekends and commander format for Magic the Gathering on Fridays. I highly recommend this place. read more

I've been shopping here for about 2-3 years and have never had a bad experience with Ken. His prices are either great or fair given the market with MTG. Ken can be a bit straightforward and rough around the edges but he's always honest. He's a great person to talk to cause he'll always give you a straight answer. read more

Horrible store for Pokémon. Sells out of prerelease kits before the day of the prerelease but when I call the owner says they will have plenty when I come in. Everything is expensive. While in the store the owner talks very poorly of other stores in the area and blames them for problems their store has. Just very unprofessional behavior. read more

The owner is rude point plank. Tough skin or not that's not how you do business. Great selections but not worth putting up with the guy. Blame me for missing out on a customers because he was looking up prices for the cards I'm buying from him (prices not marked down btw). Doesn't pack my cards up leaves them scatters on the counter and tell me to go over to him and leave the cards and come pay. While another customer is touching the cards I'm paying for.HE never gave me a bag or even a thank you after I paid he walks off. His rants about stuff that doesn't matter at all and his arrogance when you don't want a expensive card. Calls the cards I already had on me fake because I bought them some place else, I also told him this is my first time coming to his store when I entered and this is how experience turned out. The owner Ken has a severe attitude problem. He does not make customers feel comfortable and instead puts them on edge. He is always giving out speeches and giving people a hard time which makes you not even want to shop there. I don't think I'll be back just because I don't want to deal with him. read more

I was searching the area for some Pokémon 151s and stumbled upon this place. I went in just asking if they had any 151 singles because my buddy and I were missing just a few IRs (1-3). Instead, we got called 'cheap' to our faces. We were basically advised to spend loads of money and gamble on their really overpriced 151 products, which, logically, doesn't make sense. It was almost as if he was offended somehow by the question...but you don't know everyone's situation and there is no justification to warrant this kind of rude behavior. I wouldn't mind spending money, but I rather not with this owner. So yeah, if you want to do business with a VERY rude and disrespectful owner, then be my guest and come here. The name really matches the shop, by the way: 'Brooklyn WASTE.' Lol. P.S. we did end up finding the cards we were missing and with very nice card shop owners. Also at good prices too. read more

The owner is crass and charming in his own unique way. If you have thin skin and can't take a little heckling from the owner then I would probably ask someone else to go to the counter. The single selection is rare and if you're looking for bulk I wouldn't waste the owners time. If you can give a little heckling back to the owner when heckled you'll be okay. read more

Alot of people claim this place is overpriced, alot of the items are MSRP. Some items are not MSRP, I would not expect older items to be prices at MSRP. This store has alot of display cards(more than alot of other stores). This store is based off TCG pricing and seems very fair for the most part. One of the few places that offer case purchases for cards (tad bit over TCG pricing but very understandable due to overhead bills). Has plenty of tables to games. All said and done would recommend this place if your a collector or an avid gamer. Always tons of items in stock. read more

Does not take card payment for certain customers and will force you to go to the bank. Owner will often make very inappropriate jokes (even to his loyal customers) Owner gives you a very hard time and speech when you want to purchase simple Pokémon products at a 90% mark up from retail. read more

The sealed products are charged based on the standard MSRP. As for the singles, they are clearly marked up from the average market price. The owner is nice to us but every time I come in with friends, the little club they have seem to be very self-absorbed and doesn't seem friendly enough to let new people play with them. read more
