We read some reviews and were happy to know there's a dance floor in the back that's separate from the bar area - gives some variety. They were playing house music in the back with a fog machine. The dance floor would sometimes fill up and then empty out. Overall the vibes were just not it for me. After we entered and walked to the back, a friend said, "It feels like we just walked into a frat party, right?" It was just not the crowd I would expect for Bushwick. But I'm usually in queer spaces so maybe this is normal and I didn't realize. People weren't unkind or anything but it wasn't a space I'd wanna go back to. We all got some fruity cocktail which was fine. Nothing to write home about and pretty sweet.

I asked "Hi do you guys still have any of the QR codes that were on the bar ? For Campari academy" and this person laughed in my face sneered at me like they were mocking me and said "i don't even know wtf that is" I clarified "oh the Pink QR codes that were all over the bar are they gone ?" Again they repeated " i don't even know what you're even talking about .. so no" The interaction was so rude and really put a bad taste in my mouth I went further and asked "oh yall probably threw them out already" , i asked him "you work for elsewhere right? And not espolon" - he laughed in my face again and said no ... I was trying to be nice and remain positive so I told him "oh you should look into it then! You're a bartender right ? They do lots of free parties and events like this one" His response was so nasty he smiles in my faces and said "yeah I don't wanna do that I don't really care" so I kept my composure because at the end of the day this was an event for all industry professionals, bar owners, bartenders LIQOUR reps, hospitality leaders etc- and this was the demeanor this person had.... I replied "oh you don't care huh? Well the information is there if you want it have a goodnight" and as I was walking away he said "I really don't" This was such an unfortunate and unexpected interaction just a few days short of the NBA playoffs party I attended with NYx Cosmetics at Elsewhere. - I work in hospitality because I genuinely want to be there and I want to give people exciting memorable experiences- not mock them to their face and try to make them feel small...

My concert doors opened maybe 20 min late and I was fortunate enough to see band playing on the rooftop too. I was maybe 5 min late to doors opening and all of the good spots were already taken! I guess that's New York for you. I found a little nook that no one thought of & placed myself there for the rest of the night. Highly recommend as a concert venue! Curious to see if it's open when it's not a concert hall. Would love to check out!!

Seating was nice near the front door and apparently they have events some Friday nights where you'll be able to hear live music (as was the case later on in the evening at my event). This is closer to the first place I lived in NYC so probably a great place to go if you live near the L train or like that artsy Brooklyn aesthetic. I went to this venue in late September to see one of my favorite music artists, Elbow. For those unaware, they are a British band from Manchester that's been around since the late 90s, and they're unfortunately more popular in Europe. The songs range from simple ballads and sadder tracks to louder ones, with many featuring a strong orchestral mix, all backed by Guy Garvey's lyrics, which range from soft to booming. In other words, take the old Coldplay (Rush of Blood to the Head period or so) music, make the vocals less falsetto, and add a few more classical instruments, and you have these guys. The opening act that night was Why Bonnie, a soft-spoken artist with a pretty voice who was doing songs entirely on a single guitar, apparently because the rest of the members were sick or something. This led to many of the songs sounding somewhat similar, though I did like a bunch of them. Anyway, outside of the artists, the venue was a bit dark but nice. The main thing to always worry about at venues is the acoustics, and they were fantastic here. There was plenty of room (or, I guess, you could say Elbow room in this case) with good views from the main area and some space above the stage. The drinks were overpriced, but hey, it's an NYC venue in Williamsburg to boot. The staff were friendly, and it was easy enough to get inside. It's not my favorite venue I've been to, but it worked perfectly for an artist like this. I would recommend them.

Decent sound, solid setup (I only see things bottleneck really by the bathroom/coat check) and brings good artists. My husband and I managed to get a solid spot upstairs, but even when we were downstairs it was fairly easy to find a good spot too. Bartender was cool and helped us pick the best bang for our buck beer too. Looking forward to catching the next show here!
