falafel over rice, white sauce and hot sauce. Avoid at all costs unless you're not hungry or you've got money to burn.

Ordered a falafel over rice via Uber eats. Avoid at all costs. Rice was hard and raw. Falafels were burned to a bitter crisp, and there was literally no sauce. Whoever put the platter together, wasn't having a good day either, or apparently thought they were dishing out slop for a pig based on how it was thrown together in the dish. Never ordering again. 16 bucks down the drain via uber eats! Don't say I didn't warn you.

I found hair in my food. That is very unsanitary. The place needs to be re-inspected and follow safety protocols.

The food is fresh and grea tasting well prepared seasons perfect . . It's a small place but the food is good.

Unfortunately, this spot is a miss. Convenient location and hours but the food is not it... Paid $7+ for a lamb gyro - thats suppose to come with lettuce and tomato etc... and this is it - One piece of tomato on the edge with a few strands of shredded lettuce. Very disappointed. Literally would've gotten more lettuce and tomato on a crispy chicken from McDonald for less. The Cajun fries was decent. But I'd say skip this one unless you're starving, everything is closed and you're near there.

Mixed Chicken and Lamb Salad. This was so delicious!

This mix salad was perfect. Very good portions of both meats. The falafel was perfect too. Definitely will keep ordering from this place!

Not my typical spot to get chicken & rice. But I decided to order here since it's up the blockish and I never tried it. It was alright. The best part were the huge pita slices. Usually my spot gives little pita pieces so it was nice to have big slices proportion wise. They provided little to no salad though. And the salad was only cucumber and lettuce. No tomato. The chicken was pretty average. Typical seasonings of course. Some pieces tasted and felt like they were older than the other pieces (or maybe just overcooked). Overall, I would recommend the spot to whoever is nearby if they really needed some chicken and rice. But I'll stick to my spot closer to me.

Before I ordered my food from here, I read a review that someone wrote in regards to their meal where they called it "dog food" . I think that reviewer was being nice. I have never ordered halal food and been so disappointed in my life. First off, my rice was red . Like they just threw some food coloring on it. Second, once I mustered up the courage to taste it, the rice was too soft and mushy. I decided to try just some pieces of the chicken itself and that wasn't bad but what's the point of getting chicken over rice if only the chicken is somewhat edible? Thank you Brooklyn halal. After a long day at work anticipating some good halal food, instead I was met with this. Never again.

Literally love this place. Got from them on DoorDash. They listen to the little extra notes on the side, and the food is amazing. Probably the best halal I've had. I highly recommend

The halal food served here is pretty BOMB and one of the freshest halal meats I have had in all of NYC. I usually opt for the chicken platter, which comes with chicken over yellow (or orange?) rice, a side of vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers) and LOTS of white sauce. My other half prefers the mixed platter, which is basically the same ingredients, with added lamb meat. I've also tried the chicken gyro, which is simply the same fresh chicken meat and vegetables, wrapped in a thick and warm pita. They also have burgers on the menu, which I have yet to sample, but will, when I am feeling a bit more daring. The service here is pretty quick, which is perfect for someone always on the go like myself. Something about halal food being served at a storefront, vs. in a food cart. Unfortunately, I am removing one star due to a take-out I had ordered recently on a late night. The rice almost tasted like it was bad - possibly sitting around too long, until time to close up shop. It may have been an isolated incident since my former visits have been great, but the establishment should be a bit more careful. I wouldn't let it deter me from visiting again, but will likely order earlier in the day.

Employee working at the front counter is very rude and unprofessional. I went to the store today to pick up my order which I placed with Uber eats. I received a messaged from the Uber eats app stating my order is ready for pick up. After 5 minutes I went ahead to the store to pick up my order and the Employee at the front counter tells me my order is not ready yet for pick up! Why it was put on Uber eats system that my order is ready for pick up when it wasn't? As I'm in the store waiting for my order, there was two other customer in the store trying to place their order. As one of the customer stated her order 3 times to the employee, he kept saying "HUH, HUH" to her because he wasn't listening to the customer order but instead talking on his AirPods. After standing there for 5 more minutes, I finally got my food. As i went back to work and open my food, I realized it didn't have the Sliced pita bread i added additionally by paying extra on my actual meal which was Chicken Tikka over salad. Here I'm one more time back in the store with my food showing the same employee who is at the front counter still on his Airpods talking, Stated to him I was supposed to receive sliced pita bread with my order yet I didn't after i got my food late. He asked for my receipt, after showing him the receipt, he goes ahead check my food, he leaves my food wide open on the counter and makes himself to the back. After two minutes later he returns hands me an aluminum foil and stated here is your pita bread. I told him its supposed to be sliced and placed on my order. His responses was with the attitude that, well you can go ahead and do it yourself thats why i gave you the pita bread on side. Now I'm supposed to eat dry pita bread separately with my food. Where is the acknowledgement that they messed up by saying the order was ready when it wasn't? Even after waiting for 5 minutes in the store wasting my break time, they still got my order wrong which caused me to go back to the store and deal with the same unprofessional employee over again who happens to gave me attitude and tells me to do the job he is supposed to be doing!!! Such an amazing business establishment you guys got going on here!! Bravooooo

This place sucks. My first time door dashing this place and I placed the order around 12:45p and they are opened from 12p. Wanted to grab something halal but I guess they don't give about letting the customer know. If they weren't opened, why did they accept my order and then cancel it saying the store is closed? Don't accept people orders if you can make it happen. Or better yet, don't do door dash or any type of delivery business if you can't fulfill it. Does not make sense at all. Bad for the business.

    Shrimp over rice

Honestly, this place could have been better IF they followed food protocols. I ordered for pick up here and the cook got my order wrong (shrimp over fries w/ sauces but they gave me rice instead). After showing the cacher and getting my order fixed I asked what they would be doing with the other order. The casher/front person proceeded to explain that he would be giving the food to another costumer who orders shrimp over rice. After some conversing, he decided to give me the plate of food. However, after further inspection they had removed the SHRIMP. Though I understand the frugal hustle, it is complete unsanitary to prepare a meal which was then opened and returned for an exchange to ANOTHER COSTUMER! What if I sneezed on it by accident or something fell into it upon opening to check my order?!???? Honestly they could have just put whatever on that rice and sold it. Moral of the story, if the food is fresh this place ain't bad but who knows if it is so just take your chances I guess. Also they still messed up my order by giving me the wrong sauces.

It's nice to have a good halal spot in ozone park. Burgers are fresh and flavorful. The place is nice and cozy and the price is reasonable.

This place delivers real smoke, real flavor, and that no-nonsense Texas-style authenticity that's hard to find anywhere else in the city. From the moment you walk into the rustic, warehouse-style space at 454 Van Brunt St, you know you're in for something serious. The smell alone will make you hungry. I ordered the brisket, beef rib, and jerk baby back ribs, and each one was perfect in its own way. The brisket melts in your mouth with that beautiful bark and smoke ring. The beef rib is massive, tender, and full of deep smoky flavor. And the jerk ribs are a killer twist spicy, sweet, and unbelievably juicy. Their sides are no afterthought either--mac and cheese, baked beans, and collards were all on point. The staff is friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and even if there's a line, it moves fast and it's 110% worth the wait.
