I came here a while ago when I had an issue with one of my amps, as I was referred by a friend. It seems like different people will charge you different prices. I was quoted a three prices.... and upon return, none of the prices stuck, and my "coupon" from the initial service was denied. After the installation, the tech didn't even bother to tune it to the same specs as the previously installed unit, which had my car sounding like a loudspeaker for a public candidate. After seeing my with a screwdriver, one of the managers checked the setting and was just as puzzled as I was. We checked the settings together. I was told to get the tech to tune it. After the adjustments, it was fine. I still tipped him, but I was definitely annoyed. read more

After I got my Outback in July, I came in to tint my front windows and the small windows next to the mirrors. It was a Friday, right before Labor Day so they were pretty busy and since I didn't want to wait, I made an appt with Junior and came back the following week. I came back next week and waited while the guys worked on my car. The front windows were done within the promise time of one hour. I waited to post to see if there's any peeling or bubbles. The tints were perfect. The only BAD thing was that they cut into the plastic strip on my passenger window. I don't normally open my windows but it took me almost a week to notice it. You can trust these guys. Their profit is based strictly on providing value to the customer. They have handled work on two cars for me and are about to work on a 3rd. A total of 3 jobs so far. They stand by their work. I can tell you that they know how to: run a service business; keep up with inventory; hire skilled technicians; and stand behind their work product. There should be actually 2 separate review since it is for two separate services. 1) Got a tint job from these guys via living social. Great deal! These guys did a great job on the tints. No air bubbles no damage to my car! 2) Now got an auto detailing via living social for $80. Originally, thought this was a good deal because I expected it to be all-inclusive car interior and exterior detailing. However, when i got there, no claying nor compounding. Pretty disappointed. They asked for additional $100 for that service. I can actually get a full service with claying and waxing and compounding for $100 total. The car came out beautiful. Nice finish. HOWEVER (BIG HOWEVER), the car was not completely clean with many spot dirty. When I get a full exterior detailing I expect spotless cleaning, because this is not a $20 car wash. There are still black spots and water spots all over my car, and the side skirts are complete dirty and untouched. Interior dashboard is not clean either with marks all over the place. Carpets and the seats are cleaned very well none the less. To sum it up, TINT (5 STARS) = GREAT JOB!!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS AUTO DETAILING (2 STARS) = SLOPPY JOB. JUST GET A $20 CAR WASH FROM THEM. SAME RESULT. I DEFINITELY OVER PAID FOR THIS CAR WASH... Probably go back to them for car wash not auto detailing. read more

My old car needed replacement speakers. I called them up and asked if same day service was possible. They said it was and delivered the goods. The staff described my options clearly and a promised they'd install the speakers I chose and get the job done in a few hours. They did exactly that. I watched soccer in their air-conditioned office and grabbed a bite at a nearby McDonalds. Before I knew it, the job was done. Prices were a match for Crutchfield.com (not including labor), and labor was reasonable ($75/hr) I see that other people have given this place some harsh reviews, but my experience was honestly great. Friendly, knowledgeable, good-natured staff who didn't try to up-sell me on something that wouldn't make sense given the age of my vehicle. Fast service, a lifetime guarantee on the installation and 2-years coverage on my new speakers that they'll take care of as an authorized dealer. First time dealing with this shop. Staff was REALLY nice and very helpful. Being a woman, I didn't feel like I couldn't hold my own in there which was a nice feeling. Ramzi and Junior were the two men I dealt with mainly and they were both friendly, professional, and helped get the job done. I was there for two reasons: getting car windows tinted and getting a camera installed. In about 3 hours the job was done. Windows looked great and the camera was installed. I dropped it off early morning, walked to a diner and killed sometime while I waited. The area is kinda dead so be prepared to bring work or a book or something to kill time with while you wait. Prices were not bad but I honestly don't have anything else to compare it with. But Ramzi was able to give me a fair price. We also used a coupon so that helped! These guys run a good business. They are honest, patient and do a great job. I wanted to upgrade the stock radio in my 2004 Prius to one with Bluetooth and they walked me through a variety of options and gave me quotes on each of them, all reasonable. Even though I went back and forth a few times, they were very patient with me and encouraged me to find the right one. I ended up getting a backup camera with Bluetooth and it's amazing. Not only increased functionality but the sound is better. After years of trouble with making phone calls and cheap solutions it finally feels like a legit (modern, haha) car. These brilliant geniuses were able to fix the stereo in my Accord which stopped working. The buttons wouldn't work. Other companies that I visited wanted to try to sell me nearly a thousand dollars worth of new equipment that I ended up not needing. With my radio fixed, I added Bluetooth, new speakers, and sub prewiring for a very affordable price. The best part of my experience was the good customer service. They make you feel at ease and they are very honest with you. As you wait, there is entertainment in the seating area, which I didn't find in the other places I visited. I have had 4 window tints with them & all were done well. The only reason I return. That being said, they don't know how to keep & make appointments. Since I experienced an 8hr day with them the last time I had a window-tint, I specifically asked when I could get a definite time slot because I didn't want that horrendous experience again. I was given a 9am appointment for a window tint. Told "you'll be the first- in & out. Their window tint guy arrived at noon. So a wasted 3 hrs. Work was completed by 2:30. I found out about this place via a LivingSocial deal for auto detailing. I had a really hard time connecting with them to make an appointment. I tried via the phone number on the voucher and their online email form. Once I got in touch with them, I was told that I could drop my car off early any day and pick it up after about 4 hours. Again, upon dropping my car off first thing Saturday morning I was told that the full detail would take about 3 to 4 hours. It ended up taking about 6 hours. I was annoyed about the lengthy turnaround until I arrived and saw my car. They did an AMAZING job both on the inside and outside. More than 75% of the surface scratches were gone and the inside was like new. They also offered a 3 day rain guarantee. I'll definitely go back and recommend the place. Total SCAMMERS.....STAY AWAY 1. I bought the living social deal. seems like a great deal but very broad stating one set of tinted windows 2. I called and they said it only covers 70% tints for all windows...ok fine 40$ more for tints less than that. 3. they wanted another 25$ for the 1st 6 inches of my front windshield....120$ for the whole windshield wtf? b.c they claimed they have to remove a film, which i asked about later and they had no idea what i was talking about....ok so i went with the 40$ tints and said F..it lets get the 25$ just want to get get over with. 4. guy takes out a calculator and adds 40$ and 25$ so he said the grand total is 87$....thats including tax.....-______- seriously? no ones that dumb so he calls over a friend to fixed something in the computer calculator and the total was 77$. still the wrong answer. with NYC taxes it shouldve came out to 72-73$ you know what? im tired and want to make it to other errands i had, not even going to tip or ever come back here so i paid it to get it done with. 5. suggestions - be honest with the price and whats covered on living social and over the phone and even in person, its so obvious what you guys are doing and adding bs charges, just be honest and give a price and whats covered. the sales taxes are not 25% in nyc. in the end....i basically paid normal prices for my tints....i felt like i was in a car dealership again with the non stop bai and switch...ugh! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !!! Before I start, just so you guys know, this is my first time ever writing a review. This horrible place made me do it. I wish that there was a zero star option and I could report them somewhere else as well. Same as many others, I found out about this place on Living Social where I purchased a voucher to to get my windows tinted. It took me three weeks to get it done! First when I came for my appointment they told me that the guy who dose it didn't show up. I think they were supposed to give me at least a call to warn me in advance, so I won't have to spend over an hour in traffic to get there, considering that they've asked me for my phone number when I was making an appointment. Second time I decided not to take chances and called them right before I was about to get on my way there just to find out that their window tinter called out sick.. Finally I got it done only week later. Even though I wasn't too happy with their communication services the tint job was done ok, so I decided to give them a second chance and went there for the second time to get my roof wrapped in gloss black vinyl. They've messed it up, it was coming off along all sides of the roof, not to mention that they cut the rubber that goes around a windshield in few places while cutting the wrap. After I mentioned that the job wasn't done right they promised to redo it for free and rescheduled me for next weekend. Saying that since they are doing it to me for free I have to come early in the morning when they open at 9A.M. I come back week after and they tell me that the guy who dose it comes at 10am and I have to wait. Then why would they tell me to come at 9??? Ok, I hanged out side for an hour and guess what, when this guy came he said that he ran out of a chemical liquid and that I have to come back next week. At this point I was already so pissed, I didn't want anything to be redone, but just to get rid of the wrap they put on my roof and get my $250 back. Spoke to their manager Will and he said (PROMISED*) that they will take it off next week and that I will get ALL my money back. I come back next week, and again the guy tells me that there is no liquid to take it off! RIDICULOUS! I flipped out on him with my everlasting story and guess what, he went into the office, spoke to some dude, came back and said "Alright, we got it" . Needless to say that they were doing it on purpose hoping that I would eventually get tired of coming back and will just leave it as it was. Finally the wrap was off (it took them less than 5 minutes). But now they didn't want to reimburse me the 'work laber' which was a good $75 from $250 that I've payed. After arguing with me for 10 minutes this guy calls Will and tell him that Unfortunately! they already took the wrap off. The bottom line is, I did get all my money back. However countless amount of hours, gas and nerves wasted! I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! read more

Whenever there's a new business I'm a little leary. Not only did I find quality products at Brooklyn Car Audio & Security, but these people are ethical. I went in for a super deal promoting and introducing this new business and when they were out of the model advertised I was upgraded to a radio with more features. The people there are very nice, whether at the counter answering questions and ringing up the sale to the installer. They didn't talk down to me because I'm a woman either. Okay so, these thieves pick and choose who they want to be honest with, so if you don't know much about the part being placed on the vehicle your a target. I went here for several items, told them I'm not looking to spend big because I plan on returning, so this is when I knew for a fact that they are thieves one of the items was 107.00 they charged me 140 and basically did the same thing to the other items as well adding money to them and told me this is the best price I can do (hilarious I know) they use CARID WEBSITE to get most of their parts so I did my own search and found the real prices and to my surprise he not only added money to the items he ordered extra pair of an item I only needed one pair of and still charged me for two pairs, so I asked why the price he gave me is different from the website prices, he replied it could the installation charge but isn't labor the same as installation lol these thieves And the icing on the cake none of the parts they ordered fit my car so now everything must be sent back and they have the nerve to say I have to pay restocking fees, 1st of all these parts aren't from your store what are you restocking. So I got to the location about 30 minutes late for my window tint appointment. Mind you I was still seen and I was the next person in line for the tint. In about 1 hour and half they did the tints. It was great quality. I upgraded to the film to UV protection and what not. There are the best honestly. Superb customer service! I didn't feel harassed to buy something extra or anything plus I was the only female in my early 20's there but still felt respected. Jeff the sales guy has great knowledge and attitude. I've been wanting to install this alarm and auto start on my Fx-35 for a while. Finally did it. Smooth start from a mile a way with no issues. Led screen that tells me when the doors are open and when the vehicle starts. These guys are friendly and provide great customer service.
