Top 5 favorite campground in our 7 years of RV travel!…read more One of the nicer state parks in Oregon. Clean sites, clean bathrooms, and private showers. Trash cans are every few sites so it makes it so much easier to keep things tidy for campers. They sell firewood and have nice large fire rings. There are so many trees and some sites have perfectly spaced trees so you can put up a hammock. There are a lot of park rangers on site. I noticed that they don't hesitate to address issues as they arise. You can walk to the beach from the campsite. It is a steep decent down a long driveway or you can take a questionable walking path to the rocks below. I recommend driving from your campsite to the beach parking lot. As for supplies, you are only a few miles away from a Fred Meyer grocery store. The town of Brookings has options if you need anything while staying here. There is a lot to do in the area so several days here isn't a bad idea. Lovely beaches, plenty of hiking options, small towns, redwoods....what more can you ask for?

They…read morehave two really big issues, one the amount of people who feel the need to just peel rubber and give it everything the second they hit that little straight leaving the beach. Not too sure what can be done about that. The second thing they really need to get on is campers for taking multiple spots it's super frustrating pulling up to your spot and find group next you is parking their cars there or took over your picnic table hanging out drinking beer blasting music. This issue seems super fixable with just some routine patrols, one time I told them and they literally asked me well did you asked them to move? dude that's not my job it's yours.

Cars & trucks are in and out constantly cruising. No one is in the office, they have a number for you to call for a host, the kiosk outside the office was not working. People unhook their trucks from their trailers ( or toads) and then park them in the front row of the beach, rather then in their site, blocking your view of the ocean. State Park so it's open to the public from 7am to 10pm. Locals come in the evening and bum cigarettes and money, they know the code to the restroom so they ask people for quarters so they can take a shower.... The showers are filthy! The road in and out is full of potholes, speed bumps are not clearly marked, and the overall condition of the RV park has diminished greatly in the last few years. PROS: This full hookup RV campground is steps from the ocean.

Pro's: the park is clean and quiet at night, nice laundry area…read moreCons: the 2 pet areas are just a wide spot next to the dumpster and 1 has water running through it. they also list a pet area at the entrance but it's a little spot right on the bush adjacent road. laundry facility doesn't have a dispenser for detergent so bring your own. I would have liked to used it but didn't want to buy a huge laundry soap at the store. the 2 showers for women were just ok, they didn't smell fresh so I decided not to use them. the thing that killed this place for me was the water hookup for the RV is almost at ground level close to the sewer dump instead of being elevated on a post so someone can't contaminate the faucets when hooking or in hooking the sewer. I will look for a more sanitary situation next time.

Ingvar moved on and the park suffered because the gal, Lisa who took her place is incompetent and talks rude to guests depending on her mood. They took accommodations away from the long-term guests and are very dishonest... Lisa bad mouths and gossips about the guests with other guests and slanders the company. My husband took a Dr.s recommended permission to use the showers which the Mngmnt demanded . He is disabled and required more space to shower as his condition worsened after we were there more than a year. Then they changed the pass codes without telling him on a Friday... no notice or explanation were provided. On the following Monday when we inquired why they locked him out Trish told him it was because I used the women's shower. When Trish gave Me the new code she said it was for " You guys" (my husband and I ). In writing! Then she refused to answer my calls and emails, even running away from me to avoid talking with me. (Very odd ) I cannot believe we were paying for extra dumpsters because the maintenance guy; Ray was throwing building materials and old tables , shelves and beds in our appointed dumpster. I suggested a community meeting and then Kelly lost his shower rights! People were leaving and moving away because the behavior of Lisa and increased rent and utilities were out of control. This is only the tip of the iceberg but enough to let everyone know what they may be stepping in if they stay there now.

I did get a hostile letter from the CEO... The point is Oregon says they have 31 days and instead they keep saying the dog ate my homework type of incompetent excuse excuses . I'm sharing my experience with them in the hopes that others will be cautious.

I worked at this place called 'At Rivers edge " in Brookings Oregon for The owner Connie law…read more Everything was going ok till they asked me to cut these trees down where they planned to put in brand new cabins for their guest to stay in. They had me use this very old chainsaw with now muffler installed on it and with absolutely no head phones to protect my hearing while I run this very loud chainsaw to cut these trees down that would be in the way of their new cabins that are going into RV park. This woman Connie law and other employees of hers lied and said I didn't use a chainsaw and if I did use a chainsaw they would have given me chainsaw protection hearing muffs for my ears to be protected while running that old extremely loud chainsaw they had me using. This woman lied about everything so I couldn't get her company to pay for my hearing injury. This is fraud theat she has committed in my hearing injury case. They did not follow the laws the correct way as far as safety goes when operating a chainsaw and making me use some old junky loud chainsaw without a muffler on this chainsaw or even a pair of chainsaw head phones to protect my hearing?? Total disregard for safety laws for me as an employee and totally lied that I didn't use a chainsaw on her property, business those days I was employed working for Connie law. I would never ever stay at her campground because of this horrible situation she and other employees put me through! A good employer would have investigated what happened to me and did everything in their power to fix the damages ? No this woman did everything in her power to hide what happened to me and tell these lies about my use of this chainsaw on her property! What a horrible experience and totally bad position this woman Connie law has put me in? This woman is a lier and a crook . I will be hiring an attorney for this injury that has a lot of fraud involved in it. She has broken every law in the books about safety and workman's comp laws. Businesses should not be able to do this to employees they hire to do physical labor? My civil rights have been violated as well as my constitutional rights have been violated in this case ?

The spaces are gravel with a makeshift 2' fence placed in between each trailer. I think it was about $45 a night which was a breath of fresh air compared to others. Oh! This campground is not within walking distance of the harbor or shops like I seen somewhere. It's a short drive.
