Absolutely beautiful place. This park not only offers amazing views but a place to camp as well. There are spots available.fpr tent, car or RV parking. Class A,B or C TVs, full ook-ups, partial hook-ups, or just plain asphalt spots. If you're a local, the cost is roughly 10$ cheaper for each night. This place IS dog friendly Reservations are not required but are highly recommended!!! This place offers a full playground, hot showers, and beautiful scenery to boot! Just a 5 minute walk, and you're on the beach enjoying the ocean, or you can choose to walk the trails (highly suggest the lookout point on the cliff for sunsets!

Lived in Oregon most of my life and we have been up and down most of the central to north Oregon coast many times. We never went south until this year. Hands down one of the best state parks around. We hooked up the trailer and headed down here for several days. We really enjoyed our stay here. As with all the Oregon State Parks it is just in outstanding condition, beautiful trees and plants and very clean. Sites for trailers are a little snug but totally doable. It is an older location but is updated and has full hookups. Located near Brookings which in its own right is a great Oregon Coast town with good restaurants and shops to enjoy. The beach was fantastic, lots of island rocks located here and great waves. Just pure relaxing to hang out and enjoy. We are going to try and make it down here every year going forward as a yearly camping stop.

Great tide pools and room to park a trailer. Two ways to access the beach at the end of the road w a nice turn around.

Beautiful park large clean sites lots of room for rv/trailers! Bathrooms clean and hot showers. A lot of families and kids in the summer so gets loud but everyone is having fun and respectful. Great hiking and biking trails. The beach is gorgeous! Price can't be beat!! Love Oregon State Parks!!

It's one of those places that stays in your memory for life because it's that majestic. The beach of my dreams.

This beach is right down from where we are staying at, and it's absolutely breathtaking! A little windy, so be careful if you plan on eating here beach side.

Rain or shine! Maybe some wind! It's winter on the Oregon Coast banana belt. It is only 50 degrees, wind is whipping, rain falling but I am walking the sands and drift wood. Dressed rightt in rain gear. Watching relentless waves trying to overtake the shore. Sun breaks. Sun sets. Get your smart phone ready. We have a saying in Oregon - you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes, it will change.

Lovely campground, well maintained with friendly hosts. Has lots of trails down to beach and into town- both for walking and biking. There's even a section of the old Hwy 101 to walk or bike on. Loop C is mostly for tents. Portions of all loops have electric and water hookups-some of these with septic as well. Bathrooms are clean with showers available-still requiring masks at this point. Beach is quite scenic-just refrain from climbing the rocks and bothering the birds! Like most of the Oregon coast, be prepared for wind which is more common than not. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is due to the noise from the mill nearby which seems to run until 11:00 or so at night. I should add there is a day use area which allows you to drive down to a large beach area and there is a ramp pathway for wheelchairs.

This place is absolutely stunning to see rock formations on the beach, it's literally my favorite world wide that I've been to! The sunset here is worth the way I highly recommend checking it out and getting some great photos! During the day it's a blast to explore as well!

This beach is BEAUTIFUL! Be sure to drive all the way down the hill to make the loop at the bottom then park. There are restrooms right there too which is a bonus! The beach is a large sandy beach with plenty of amazing rock formations. If you keep walking south on the beach, you will find a little trail that goes up and over to really neat tide pool area where you can spot many anemone, starfish, and a variety of crabs! Hermit crabs, porcelain crabs, and more! There is the most amazing little inlet from one of the rock formations in the ocean (see pics) and there is a little tunnel where in the evening as the sun is going down, makes for an amazing site! The kids had so much fun searching for sea creatures and climbing the rocks, and on our way back to the car, we saw the most beautiful sunset! You couple spend hours here with so much to see and do!! What a gem!

Agree with most of the reviews. What a beautiful beach! Definitely worth climbing over the rocks to discover the tide pools with all the little sea creatures! Water was extremely cold and had it not been for the strong winds, a beautiful place to sprawl out on the beach. We did find a little nook behind a large rock to lay out a blanket for my son to play in the sand but really hard to shelter completely from the sand blowing at every angle.

Wow, what a beautiful state park. We stayed in site B21 which was a tight squeeze for our 31 ft 5th wheel, but we were able to move back a little due to the huge back area they have and fit the trailer and truck in the site (barely). Little tough to get into spots with the narrow roads, but the atmosphere is so worth it. You can take a walk across the road to the ocean and beach.... so beautiful. This is a hard park to get into as it fills up pretty fast.

Once you park it's a fairly short hike down a well marked path, you may be tempted to take in all the scenery from the small park at the top but believe me the awesomeness will meet you at the waters edge. There's a small creek dividing the open area at the bottom of the trail it's a cake walk to cross it and if you've come this far you have to find a way to cross it, its about thirty feet wide but on this day it was merely a few inches deep, of course if there's a flash flood warning when you visit then your story may differ from mine. The sand is mostly silty in and around the creek but loosens up as your approach the water. As you stand amongst the giant rocks the waves atomizes the cool ocean water as it crashes into the rocks gently misting you with its salty spray, today the weather was quite warm so it was a welcoming anointment. The drift wood and rugged terrain is prehistoric and it's easy to imagine the Jurassic world when you stand so close to creation. The relentlessness of the ocean is almost deafening as the waves march ashore but yet it's a tranquil paradise filled with life forms that dance in the foam and tidal pools. If you can't find your sanity here all may be lost...

A quick glance at beaches not too far over the border showed Lone Ranch Beach as a quieter local favorite. Well signed turn off took us here right off the 101. There were only a few other cars. What a gorgeous, dramatic beach! Tons of driftwood, sea stacks and forest that comes right up to the water. Walking along here was a lovely, peaceful way to spend an afternoon on the coast. There were several picnic tables on the grassy area before the beach and it seems like a great place to spend the day if you're local. Very glad I found my way up here!

We turned in the parking lot but it was full, luckily, we found a spot (well, we kinda made our own spot) LoL! We attempted to walk down to the beach following a trail to the left but it was somewhat unpredictable and a little dangerous so we turned around. The path to the right has a better access to the beach but we didn't go. Instead we just took in the coastal views from atop and watched the crashing ocean waves hit the offshore rocks. The beach features many scenic sea stacks too. There is a picnic area at the site. February weather was exceptionally sunny, no rain in sight, but it was windy. I wouldn't call this a hike as it can't be longer than a mile to get down to the beach, and most of it is paved. It is only accessible up until a certain point, then turns into gravel, eventually sea-smoothed stones, bits of logs, and sand. Our party of six adults and two children were looking for a beach to explore along the Brookings coast, and this ended up being a great choice. There are some extremely cool points of interest along the way, like panoramic views of the point and surrounding coastline, and a lookout trail that splits off and carries one up a steep cliff. None of the people in our beach going party opted for this, but it did look like a fun photo op. I wasn't sure if my dang back would allow for me to get up there. Maybe if I ever return. It was instead onward to the beach to set up chairs, let the kids make sand castles, and wander about looking for shells and tide pools, of which there were many! Hmm I'm just now remembering I left the teeny sand dollar I found at the airbnb. Aww. Our day was bright and sunny, which a friend local to the area told me is rare. Personally I was looking forward to an overcast chilly Oregon coast day, but I can't complain about sun and a gentle, cool breeze compared to the over 100 degree weather my friends and I left behind in California to come up here a couple weeks ago in September 2022. The water was not too cold to swim in, or at least wade in, which is what I opted to do. Salt water healing, yes please. This is a great beach for watching wildlife and observing native plants. One of the kids found the chonkiest bull kelp I have ever seen in my life, which needed three other people (okay maybe not needed but it made a cute picture) to help carry it across the beach. I would definitely come here again and try that steeper lookout point, should my mobility improve. Otherwise there is always the sweet beach access trail. Plenty of parking can be found, and though we saw bathrooms on our way down to the beach when my friend tried their door handles they turned out to be locked.
