She was very pleasant and thorough by giving me specific details about my online reservation while ending the call with hopes of seeing me on reservation day. Continuing with her wonderful pleasantries I arrived at the location and received the warmest welcome by the manager Julia. She was very nice, friendly and most helpful to me with a tour of the location along with showing me the unit I had requested. I couldn't resist her AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE which had me ready to sign my contract. I remained at Julias location for almost 2 yrs until I was ready to move into my next apartment again in 2015. Well due to some unfortunate health circumstances at my now former apartment complex, I had no other alternative to move out completely. As a result, I definitely was going to need a place to store my belongings. So without question I immediately thought of the kind and wonderful customer service I received from Julia. I went online to make a reservation back at Julia's location not sure if she was still there but going along with high hopes that she would be. So as I waited for the location manager to call me let's just say that I was so OVERJOYED to hear that friendly caring voice on the other end of the phone...yes it was Julia !! I've had my belongings here for a year with no issue until it was time to move out. On my scheduled move out date, there was no access to the unit available. The dial pads were down and me along a few other customers waited for hours with no resolution even though we were promised by customer service that we would be contacted the same day. I was scheduled to be in a completely different state to begin a new job the next day so I was forced to drive an empty uhaul to my new location. Two days later I received a call from Thomas on his personal number. He offered me a month free but I explained this wouldn't help me bc I was moving out completely. He refunded me a months rent (a drop in the bucket compared to the gas and fee for the truck I had to pay TWICE- over $1200 dollars to be exact bc gas prices are crazy). Thomas instructed me to call him back and let him know when I would be back to gather my things as a new PIN number would have to be set up for future access. I guess he forgot that he called me on his personal phone bc when I called back (as instructed) to inform him of my move out date he chewed me out stating that he doesn't conduct business in his personal line. I was completely in shock and couldn't believe he was treating me this way after already inconveniencing me once. I called the location and got assistance from a very pleasant employee who assisted me with a new code to retrieve my belongings. Later, I received an email from Thomas about some things left behind. I moved out on 6/26 and explained that I had the unit until the 1st so I had a few more days to allow a friend to pick up items that belonged to them. He proceeded to explain in a very nasty manner that bc the lock was removed I had already "moved out" and that he would charge me $150 to remove my things. I accepted the fee just to be done dealing with him all together. Instead of that being the end of it, my things weren't removed at all. Instead, I was hit with another invoice on 7/1 for a new month even though I clearly stated in my email that he could remove my things and I would pay the fee to avoid any future dealings with him. I'm assuming he wants me to pay for a months rent and hopes to also hit me with a removal fee as well. Just terrible business after the huge inconvenience he caused me. I have been trying to reach someone for three days now with no response. I'm just ready for this nightmare to be over. Please beware this man is cruel and nasty. Rent at your own risk.

Things that were placed to the back of storage unit were missing. That is when I realized I was robbed. All of my collectible items were gone. Things like china, antique punch bowl set, silverware, towels, cookware, expensive decorative items. I felt violated and heartbroken. I trusted my things were safe there. Anything of value was taken. Things that were stored in tubs were out of tubs. The robbers had a field day. I was told by Maxine that I would have to file with my insurance company and that iStorage was not responsible. I felt she didn't believe me. But I was told that a previous employee and someone he used to help move things for tenants has taken things. This was told to me by a previous employee Yolanda. I believe now that this was a good possibility and have filed a police report. I am just sick over this. Things I had worked for are gone. Nobody wants to me responsible for the damages but they continue to take customers money. This is ridiculous. The insurance personnel had the nerve to get irate and tell my sisters that the person who told her what the insurance cover shouldn't be telling her what it does and not cover. At a time like this when customers need help the most these people are greedy for money. My sister has been doing business with them for three years and this is how they treat her. It's beyond ridiculous. I would recommend everyone to take their belongings and take them else where. Do not give these disgusting people your money. I would give this zero stars if I could.
