The truck was at Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, Westchester, when I visited a resident today…read more It seems that the little cafe on the premises is undergoing renovations and the food truck was brought in so visitors and staff alike could buy food. I've never had Filipino food before and decided on the Loaded Steak Fries. It was freshly made as I waited and the server (owner?) was wonderfully friendly. I brought it home to eat and it was truly tasty and delicious- and amazingly was still hot despite the 20 minute journey. My only complaint is that I found it to be extremely salty - and I do not shy away from salt in my food.

Not sure I had the full and best experience. I had been spying this place for a bit and…read moreunfortunately had not had the time to get there. Friday evening was my last chance as they were nearing the end of their stay at Cross County Mall... I didn't want to wait for the last day. The gentleman behind the counter was not all that friendly nor engaging, but for good food I'd interact with a rabid pit bull so that was not a deal breaker but not a great start. Trouble started when everything I ordered they were out of. Out of Chicken Adobo? The Philippine national dish? How? I took what they had and paid the man, who reluctantly admitted he didn't prep much as Sunday was his last day. Still not acceptable but at least I understood. The dishes are filling, you won't go hungry. I lived in a community that had a large population of Philippine people so I am familiar with the food. This was hit or miss. Lotta rice to fill you up and would have preferred more protein. Orders are $17 each. The loaded fries were outstanding, the Hawaii chicken a bit too saucy and the pork was good. I didn't get to have the dishes I wanted so I was judging the food on things I didn't really crave... but it wasn't bad. I just wasn't wowed. I would like to try this again sometime but I'm not dying to go out of my way. It's probably a 3.5 not a 4.

This was my first time ordering food from this restaurant. I've passed by hundreds of times and…read morenever stopped to check it out. The flavor combination in the poke bowl is impressive. You can tell thought was put into preparing the food. I'd normally expect high quality food when I'm downtown, having this in the Heights is amazing and convenient. Although it's not pictured I ordered passion fruit juice.. delicious, it's not overly sweet. The only downside was the 20min wait after placing the order. However, it's worth the wait!

I've had my eye on this little Hawaiian restaurant for a while, but never took the time to walk…read moreover there! I was very happy when I did! Their salmon poke was deliciously fresh! It was accompanied by seaweed salad, and an ample portion of edamame, and some crab salad. Everything was delicious! I ordered mine on a bed of greens, I was a little bit surprised to see it arrive on a fresh and crispy bed of kale, but it was actually very nice with a spicy mayo I got on the side! In retrospect, kale is a good base for a poke bowl because it does not get soggy like lettuce does, and can definitely hold its own against the fish and seaweed salad! I got to sample some of the tuna and hamachi, and both were exceptionally fresh and delicious! I personally would have preferred a little bit more sauce on the fish, but the light seasoning certainly emphasized the freshness of the fish. I'm really excited that they also have Hawaiian barbecue... If I can ever pass by the poke! I will be back! (Sorry, no photos because I was really hungry!)

Fantastic value and great flavor bowls. The portions are generous and they have lots of options,…read moreincluding making your own bowl (poke or two BBQ proteins) and pre-made bowls. We ordered delivery (can't comment on the restaurant space of service) and it arrived hot and fresh. We tried the make your own poke bowl with salmon and tuna (you get to pick two which I really like), over white rice with edamame, cucumber, avocado, mango, sesame seeds, onion crisps, seaweed salad and the poke sauce (with a side of siracha aiolic) along with the two protein BBQ bowl with beef bulgogi and pork katsu, with cole slaw and mac and cheese over hawaiian fried rice with katsu sauce. The katsu was still crispy and while I don't normally care much for fried rice, the hawaiian fried rice was very good. The poke bowl was fresh with a good amount of fish and again, I loved all of the toppings and things that you can add for free (the avocado is extra). Both bowls were very tasty and good sized portions. Given the quality and quantity, the prices were very reasonable (especially compared to other poke places) and I would definitely order from here again.

Not only is the food awesome - I ordered a ramen, plain hot dog, and halo-halo shaved ice (addictively good) - but bonus stars to the staff who were sooo sweet! The Hawaiian style shaved ice and home-made ice cream are top notch. The ice cream is rich and delicious, with some unique flavors, and the shaved ice is very fine - fluffy and evenly slushy in texture and sweetness, unlike the inferior versions where you run into bland chips of ice. The toppings are yum too. The ramen noodles are springy, settled in a savory light broth. For a non-prestige grade ramen, I have no complaints. I also want to acknowledge the lovely hospitality. My child was in a tantrum-y mood and went to sulk by himself in a corner. Seeing the pouty little grump in a small fit, the girls at the counter coaxed him over with ice cream and stickers, which he of course eagerly accepted, pleased by the attention and confection, and was soon back to his endearing self. So I really appreciated their extra kindness! This is a fab joint for a quick-casual or just a perfect sweet treat!
