When the food was delayed, I called to ask about my order and the employee inaccurately told me that the food was already picked up when it wasn't, which was a bit frustrating. For the pasta ala vodka, they allow you to choose either ziti or spaghetti noodles. I went with spaghetti and the pasta was a bit overcooked and soft. The sauce, however, was tasty. This Pizza Stop has become my go to when I'm craving a proper NYC pizza joint. Great variety of toppings for pizza which has always arrived fresh and with the crust tasting right. Great balance of ingredients when you do add-ons for pasta. Mozzie sticks are on point. Their breakfast hero is pretty good. And they even do a proper and really tasty garden salad! Best part? I've never once had an order be late, arrive cold, or arrive with the pizza looking like someone jacked it up. There are little quirks...like...if you order "spaghetti with white" on some apps they mean white clam sauce and not alfredo. And that clam sauce is canned...because of course it is; you're only paying around $8.50. Small spot for pizza on the go- not much space to sit or stand. It's located right across from Harlem Hospital ER. They make fresh pies regularly but they also have a lot of variety in their pizza so some of the pies have been sitting in the case for quite a while. I work at the hospital across the street and this is a great pizza spot for a quick bite during lunch. Never really a line and even if there are a good number of people waiting, they'll have your food to you in less than 10 minutes. Management and staff are nice, fast, and accommodating. The slices are large and good. Can't go wrong with any of the toppings. My favorites are the pepperoni and the chicken Alfredo slices. This is one of the best options this side of Harlem has to offer when it comes to a basic slice of pizza. Their grandma pies are their best offering and I've tried almost all of their pizza pie configurations. Once was told that their pasta dishes arent made from house made pasta and that was quite disappointing. I can count on them to deliver a consistently good pie without worry, until I find a place that can serve better I'll keep ordering from here. The kiddos love it and I cant blame them! This place has decent pizza. It's definitely not great nor is it lousy. It's one of the better take out pizzas in Harlem among a sea of mostly lousy pizza places throughout the neighborhood. We had a pepperoni pizza which had fresh and decent ingredients. The sauce is a bit too tinny and sweet tasting. Definitely not high quality homemade sauce. The crust was New York style thin. Best Grandma pie in town! So delicious just order 2 pies because if you're sharing you'll definitely want an additional. I usually order from them when my brother is in town, it's like a thing. We order 2 Grandma pies & he gets an order of their garlic knots. I'm not a fan of the garlic knots, I think the actual flavor of the bread could be better on the inside and not just coating on the outside. However the outside is lick able. Just ordered a large pie with a 2 liter coke. First time ordering. I went through Eat24. So much cheese = so much happiness. Food got here earlier than anticipated. Perfect. Order accurate. Only deducting a star cause my pie arrived kinda jacked. The delivery guy is on a bike, and this is probably caused by him hard braking on the bike. The cheese leaked through the front end opening of the box, and I'm literally on the elevator eating through the unopened box. This was my first time here after some coworkers recommended it and it did not disappoint! I got the chicken and broccoli slice and the BBQ chicken slice. Both were excellent! Some slices (like the BBQ chicken one) are thicker style (not quite like Chicago deep dish but not thin either). Some pizza places are stingy with the toppings but Pizza Stop definitely is not! One of the only places that I order delivery from in the neighborhood. The price is right. They have a decent selection, especially considering that the place is very small. I usually get the personal pie for for my 3 year old grandson who's a picky eater at this age. They usually take a while to deliver (usually an hour) but the food is still hot so if I don't wait to order until the second I get hungry, it works out fine. I've ordered pizza from here using the Yelp ordering system. This spot has a variety of pizza toppings and specialty pizzas. Delivery takes about an hour. The regular pizza is pretty good for NY pizza but we recently ordered the spinach ricotta pizza and it was amazing, like seriously the best pizza I've had in a while. You can add additional toppings to specialty pizzas as well so we added pepperoni to half the pie. Definitely try that one. Prices are reasonable, my only complaint is that I wish they had an option for whole wheat crust. read more

Update: My last review was 4 years ago in 2015. Pizza Stop is still the best of a bad lot in my neighborhood. The pizza is decent but they often forget things, especially little things like extra sides of sauce or salads, when ordering delivery. I've removed an additional star because their prices have skyrocketed. In 2015 a large, one-topping pizza was $19.05 including tax (and they did not charge a delivery fee back then). Today that same pie costs $22.87. That's a 15% price increase (including the delivery fee which they now charge) during a period of time where NYC has seen roughly a 6% inflation increase. $4 of that price is just for the topping itself. It's quickly becoming less and less worth it to order from here. read more

Damn! This pizza is GOOD!! And I'm a bit of a pizza snob. I am fortunate to live only a few blocks away and pass it every time I walk to/from the train. I eat at least one slice a week. When friends come over, we always order a pie. Just freaking delicious. I've also had their garlic knots, which are good, and their mozzarella sticks, which are generic (basically just frozen and fried). The guys who work there are funny and nice. I was in the Bronx, and the ONLY good thing about my time there was this pizza joint down the street. Actually there were 3 really good pizza places extremely close to my apt. I ordered a personal Chicago pie and the lady at the register tried to charge me for a large and when I told her I wanted a personal Chicago pie she said they don't have that when it's on the menu and I told her that. She charged me for a personal pie and I thought that was it I waited for almost 15 minutes before getting my pizza and I was given a regular personal pie and told them I wanted a refund because that's not what I ordered the lady at the register tried to argue with me saying she charged me right and had an attitude the whole time as if I didn't know what I was talking about when I read her the item straight from their menu.
