On a day I wanted pizza, I came across Uncle Tony's. I think they are related to the nearby Italian restaurant Fumo's as they had some of their pizza boxes in the shop. I was looking forward to that since it's a sign they make other food well enough to open another shop. When I was ready to order, they were out of the Grandma Slice. But they did say it was a few more minutes until a fresh one was ready so I order a buffalo slice, grandma slice, and a ginger ale. I picked up the ready made slice and drink and was told they'll call me for the last one since I was eating in. The grandma slice gets made and they just didn't call me, I finished my starting order and then asked about it. The person by the register simply forgot which happens. They then gave me my last slice. As for the pizza, they make thin crust pizza like a New York style. It was good and flavorful. Personally, I enjoy my pizza to have more sauce under the cheese or when I'm in NYC I often want a greasy or oily pizza from a small shop which they didn't do here. I don't really have complaints about Uncle Tony's, just wasn't really my preference of pizza style. I can see others really liking it though read more

Seriously the best pizza I have tasted uptown. My 7 year old who doesn't really like pizza devoured the plain slice completely. The pizza is thin and it taste sooo good and the crust is puffy but crispy. Def worth the stop. It's 3.50 for a slice and a little more if you get a specialty slice but it's worth it. I ordered a pizza from uncle Tony's as usual! ! They sent me A pizza from Fumo there parent company which wasn't what I wanted and was extremely disappointed and felt taken advantage of !!! I paid 37.00 for a 12 inch when I usually get a 18 for 36.00 dollars! The pizza was cold and gluten free it was horrible and I won't be ordering from them anymore! I felt robbed! read more

Order from this Italian pizza place as I was looking for different pizza options in the area. It was honestly not too bad and I wouldn't mind ordering from here again but it wasn't amazing pizza. I ordered a standard cheese pie and I enjoyed it. Their sizing is also very big for pies. read more

This is a review of the delivery only. So I've been out of the States for years. And as soon as I arrived into New York I ordered from here through Uber Eats (which I absolutely do not recommend using them ever). I had the Grandma Pizza and a bottle of water all to myself. The pizza was good, obviously if you come to NYC, your first slice should be from John's or something, but I was impatient and was quarantining. It's a thin crust Sicilian. It's a very basic pizza but super tasty since the ingredients they use are of high quality. Garlic plum tomatos, fresh mozzarella, and extra virgin olive oil. All worked together delightfully. Not too greasy, not too rich, a perfectly baked crust. Also surprisingly filling, as I could only eat 2-3 slices before having to call it quits. Would definitely drop by if I'm ever in the area again! read more

The BF and I had tickets to a show at Harlem Stage on this blustery cold night and had made our way up to Harlem from BK much quicker than expected. A quick search on the Happy Cow app revealed Uncle Tony's and its vegan pies! We decided to swing by and grab a couple slices. The service was reasonably friendly and super quick. The vegan slice was delicious! The crust had just the right amount of crispness on the bottom and was topped with plentiful tomato sauce, vegan cheese, and generous dollops of basil pesto. The pizza was truly outstanding and the dining area was welcoming and bright. Next time I am in the neighborhood, I will definitely be back! read more

**Extremely disappointed.** I ordered the "white pizza," and it supposed to come with ricotta but I felt like they didn't put enough. They seem to be cheap on toppings. I asked for mushrooms (for an extra amount) and got very little pieces of mushrooms. The pizza was so thin and hard it was like CARDBOARD. Maybe it was over cooked.... Just extremely disappointed. Over priced and not enjoyable. I had to microwave it to soften it up. The one good thing is each slice is large. But overall would not eat it again or pay that much. (30 dollars after adding 1 topping). read more

Uncle Tony's has grown on me, partly because of their weekend pizza slice special. I am there almost every weekend to get a variety of pizza slices. Bosco is my favorite, bakers is popular, even their vegan slice is pretty good. When it was warmer they started serving gelato which was a great idea, the chocolate was amazing. I think they may have taken note that the pizza needed more sauce because it has definitely improved over the last couple years. read more

The pizza is definitely delicious. I'm giving this place four stars because their prices are absolutely ridiculous for the neighborhood. It's places like these that are making Harlem so gentrified. There's no reason why a regular slice should ever be more than two dollars. I do like that they have a variety of pizzas by the slice and a vegan option. It's across the street from campus so that convenient however, unless I'm in a rush to class, I'd rather go down to Olga's on Broadway and save some money. read more

Popped in for a quick slice after a long ass walk and day in the park. My slice was a mushroom truffle oil and it was good with ricotta cheese. My husband had a garlic slice and my kid had a cheese slice. They're across the street from city college so we just took it to the campus and chilled there. There's not a lot of space inside the pizza place. read more

Great pizza! I picked up a slice of the Bakers and a regular cheese. Both were tasty and the bottom was crispy, but not hard. I didn't want to eat the crust, which is usually what sets apart a 5-star pizza from a 4-star. The employee who helped me was friendly and efficient. I would definitely come back to satisfy any pizza cravings. read more

I come here for their pizza special which is really good. I usually have their Buffalo chicken pizza and the mushroom slice. Both are very good; and this is my neighborhood pizza place. Their customer service could be better but their pizza is always very good. The Buffalo chicken pizza is always very flavorful and the thickness of the pizza is just right. The mushroom slice is also thin and tasty not too oily. read more

Wowza. This pizza is now my favorite. A true New York style pizza with a schmear of sauce, real mozzarella cheese with a milky melt and slightly spicy pepperoni that crisps up and a crust that bends and folds upon manipulation. If pepperoni isn't your thing, the plain cheese slice is far from plain. They also have a lovely kalamata olive pie but overall all of the ingredients have been fresh and full of flavor. (I'm hesitant on ordering the mushroom pie but I'm hopeful that when I do, the mushrooms will also be fresh.) The place is super clean and the staff is friendly. Not too many options on beverages and other fare but they are sticking to what they do best. No complaints from me. Definitely a welcome addition and revommended. read more

Pizza is good, but be wary of placing online orders through their website. I placed an order for 4 slices at 5:57 pm, arrived at 6:25 pm (as prompted by their website), but did not receive my pizza until 6:57 pm. An hour wait is too much for four slices, especially since they were not particularly busy. Moreover, they forgot to add pepperoni to one of the slices, which was an extra cost, so I had to go back to have my order corrected. read more

When Uncle Tony's first opened, it was AMAZING! super fresh ingredients and creative specialty pizzas. The prices were decent and the service was great too. As of late, the quality has drastically decreased and the prices increased. The last three times in a row, the pizza was noticeably old and over cooked. We were super disappointed this has happened but we are now forced to look for a new pizza spot. After all, for the price of their pizza ($20+) we expect high quality food. read more

Very mediocre, not really worth 10$ for 2 slices of pizza. If you're around the area and you reallly want to get some pizza, then I would say to go for the buffalo chicken slice. I ordered a gramma scicilian for delivery and my fiancé noticed a funny smell. I lifted the cheese and there was this greyish brown stuff all over the dough. I wasn't totally sure it was mold because honestly, as a life long New Yorker I've never experienced something like this. 20 minutes later it turns brown/black. I am the son of small business owners and I promise you that these pictures are from withIn 30 minutes of having the pie delivered. Ive had no previous animosity with the owners and have walked in before to grab a slice and the guys behind the counter seemed really nice. This isn't some type of targeted attack on them. Whoever is responsible for prepping dough in this pizzeria should be fired. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! read more

GREAT pizza. Love their slices!!! Highly recommend to anyone around city college's campus.

Hands down one of the best pizza spots in Harlem, but Harlem isn't exactly known for pizza so it's one of the best of slim pickings. I can't help, but compare Uncle Tony's Grandma slice to Prince Street Pizza in SoHo and Grandma doesn't come close. Uncle Tony's Grandma slice is really salty. It's great if you're craving something that tastes like you're licking a Himalayan salt lamp, but sometimes it's so salty it's borderline inedible. Uncle Tony's is one of the only decent pizza options in Harlem and when their pizza doesn't taste like cardiac arrest, it's delicious. read more

I love this pizza place. The only "down side" is you can't order delivery unless you use a third party like seamless. I try to support smaller businesses by contacting them directly. But UTP wants to conduct business this way, it won't stop me from ordering their amazing food. Just thought I would let people know. Now go and order your pizza. In fact order two. This pizza is so good you will eat it for breakfast. read more

Since Tony's is just over a mile from us, we only get over there when we happen to be in our car. But so far, we've found it to be the best place nearby (central Harlem) to get a good slice. The cheese is ample and respectfully greasy, the crust is thin but not floppy, and the sauce is just right: covers the slice but doesn't gush and tastes like it's actually been cooked. We always get pepperoni slices (or a pie) and a couple of grandma slices, also with pepperoni. Always hits the spot. I do wish the pepperoni ratio was a bit more generous, but that would be my only complaint. read more

I tried their vegan pizza and it tastes good...not spectacular or anything. The only thing I didn't like was the texture of the cheese, it just felt a bit off. There has been way better vegan cheese introduced over the past few years, so I think they should try using a new cheese. It would elevate the pizza. I also wish their vegan pizza was more NYC-style, especially since the restaurant is in Harlem. If you're vegan, I would only recommend this place if you want vegan pizza and can't go anywhere else. read more

This pizza is so good. I can't believe I waited so long to try it. Tried the buffalo chicken (delicious) and I forgot the name of the other but it was also delicious. So crispy and I love just a slice of pizza so I dont end up eating a whole pie. Service was ultra fast and efficient. read more

Good pizza place that opened up in the neighborhood recently. I've had their supreme slice, their bacon ranch slice, and their Sicilian slice. All of the slices were pretty good, suffice to say. Firstly the pizza is good. Im giving a poor review because they need to practice better recycling. I had lunch there today and the place was packed with students eating their pizza out of cardboard boxes. Unfortunately the public is not well educated on proper recycling so it's up to you as an establishment to make sure you're not wasting as much as you are. There's no reason a kid should be served a singular slice of pizza in a box. Especially if they're not even taking it to go... in addition to that people are throwing garbage away in the recycling bin because there's not enough labeling and differentiation between the garbage and recycling bins. I will change my review if they implement a better system. read more

This pizzeria is right by my school. It's honestly pretty decent-I recommend the chicken ranch slice and the cauliflower slice. The prices however....eh. While their slices are good, I've had better pizza at those prices. I think I've only had a couple of slices of pizza from uncle Tony's in the past but I decided to order a whole pizza for my friend and I to share. It was the right choice. Half pepperoni and half mushrooms. The crust was thin and crisp and just enough sauce to make everything fall into place. Pizza was hot upon arrival and therefore the cheese was still melty. I will be ordering from there again...maybe sooner than later. read more

Pizza is great. This is our go to for authentic pizza. We ordered pepperoni and olive and it was delicious. The toppings reminded me of the pizza we had in Italy, authentic black olives, not the sliced ones you get out of a can and the pepperoni was small, and curled a bit, just like it does on an authentic Italian pizza. We get it delivered and they are quick and spot on. read more
