As I passed by Exclusive Pizza, I realized I was starving from a long flight (and an even longer train ride... long story), and decided to make a pit stop here for a slice. This place doesn't look like much from the outside... or inside, for that matter. And neither of the workers here struck me as exactly friendly. But they make a really good slice of pizza. You get a good size slice here, and the ratio of cheese and sauce is perfect. It's a thin, but not overly thin, crust, and it tasted great. I'd imagine a full, freshly-made pie would be even better. Lasagna. Pizza. 100 paragraphs could not begin to describe just how perfect this pie was. The place itself is shabbily off-putting from the outside, but you shouldn't let yourself be deterred from seeing what's going on inside. I happen to think the pizza is fantastic here; I'm a repeat customer to the point that I compete for mayorship of Exclusive Pizza on Foursquare (yeah... you know you do it, too). Slices are huge and cost 2 bucks. Like seriously huge, possibly the size of your head or larger. The sauce is good, and the crust achieves the delicate balance of being thick and doughy but not overwhelming the slice. I also love the Sicilian slice which weighs approximately 5 pounds and consists of delicious cheese and thick dough that still manages to remain crispy on the bottom. Minus one because my friend got the chicken roll once and it looked like it had been sitting there for a while and tasted kind of funky... but really, as I said when he chose that of all things, who orders a chicken roll in Manhattan? I wouldn't say you should make the journey up to 181st street just to try it, but if you're in the area this is definitely the best option. Hooray for my first foray into New York Pizza! Delicious and cheap, I'm all about it. Got three HUGE slices: Sausage, onion and jalapeno, spinach tomatoes & garlic, pepperoni green peppers and onions. All the vegetables were extremely fresh, the crust on the first two slices was crispy and thin, and the third was doughier but very fluffy, salty and good. I will be completely honest here, I truly dislike leaving reviews but after the scary experience with Exclusive Pizza - I must warn the community. I ordered a large pie and coke- the order came on time but the coke fell in transit (the can looked like it was going to burst) So I called the establishment to ask if they can send me another one, and they agreed. They sent the same delivery guy with the Coke - I opened the door and he harassed me. Demanding to know why I called? screaming at me in the hallway. The guy was not willing to leave until I mentioned I was going to call the police. This went on for 10 minutes. He was completely irate and completely disrespectful. And throughout this whole debacle, I'm thinking to myself , I'm just trying to get the beverage I paid for. I hope he doesn't treat every female client in that fashion. However, after an unprecedented hour and 40 minute commute from my Upper East Side office to my apartment, my desire to make dinner was waning, and a $4.75 eggplant parm sub seemed like a good idea. We're should I begin... The owner/ manager is rather dismissive and seems not to know how to interact with customers. My order was very simple, a regular slice of pizza and an order of fries with cheese. I'm in a pizzeria, I assumed that mozzarella cheese would be used on the fries, but no two slices of American cheese is placed on it and they have the audacity to charge $1 extra for it. Say WHAT?!?! I couldn't believe that the owner tells me it wasn't his fault that my cheese came off. So I tell him, ummm.... I didn't place the napkins on top of the pizza (I don't work here but it doesn't take a brainiac to know not to place paper on top of hot cheese). He gives me a dirty look but takes my pizza and added more cheese onto it. Now after all of this foolishness, I was expecting an amazing pizza. Well that was far from reality. This is hands down the best pizza I have ever ate. We (family) bought a cheese pizza from here because all the other places were closed on New Years I asked for some marinara sauce as an add on and I got it . The pizza was delicious you could taste the tomatoes EVERYTHING it was freshly made well cooked well and it came to us hot. Two days after we bought a pepperoni pizza from here it came 20 minutes late but it didn't even matter it was hot I swear it was even better than the normal cheese pizza we ate that box quickly and it's now the best pizza place I have ordered from. I use grub hub to order all the time and this place is near the top of the list of places for me. I can't wait to order again and next time I'll buy pepperoni with marinara sauce. I went here because it's a close walk from my apartment. George's Pizza is actually closer, but I decide to give this place a try. Like many Yelpers have said before me, the store leaves a lot to be desired. It looks totally sketch. BUT. That has nothing to do with the pizza. I just ordered a large pie with pepperoni and garlic. Its massive (good, cuz I'm starving (a la Chris Farley)), has a good amount of toppings and sauce and cheese, however it's quite the doughboy. Next time I would definitely ask for some extra sauce or ranch on the side to dip the mighty crust in. Oh yeah, and it was $18. Unfortunately, the best part of the meal was the bread. The chicken was inedible. It was so hard I could barely bite into it. It looked like it was fried and then coated and baked. Best slice in the neighborhood in my opinion. This is a big, thin, extra greasy slice of pie with no apologies. Downsides: a piece with toppings will run you 4$. Sometimes the dough is a bit too thin and the tip of the slice breaks off and you can't fold it down the middle. Still delicious.
