    Pizza with classmates
    William G.

After getting done with exams, my classmates and I decided to get some pizza. One of them pitched the idea of coming to this particular place, so we all went with it. The place is small, and unfortunately not air conditioned. So we decided to take our pizzas to-go. My classmates all got cheese pizza, and I went with the barbecue chicken slice. The pizza was delicious, and the slices came in a good size. The staff was ok in customer service, not rude, but not overly friendly either. While I would seek healthier options regularly, I would check this place out if I was craving pizza again.

Pizza was good, exactly what you are looking for at 1am after a show at the Apollo. Guys working the counter were friendly.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

It is located right in the hallway of a subway entrance, next to a bar and across from a coffee shop, and it somehow manages to feel like a cozy, sit-down restaurant right in the middle of NYC. Don't let the odd location fool you, the food here is outstanding. The Neapolitan and Sicilian-style pizzas are both exceptional, with rich, well-balanced flavors and perfectly executed crusts. Every bite tastes high quality. Also, don't skip the house-made lemonade! The experience is even better because of the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They were all so kind to so many people. From offering to keep leftovers in the fridge until a customer was done at their broadway show, to offering a scone to a young child while he and his father waited for their pizza to be done, it was more than just flipping a table and onto the next tip, it was humanity at its best. Be sure to give See No Evil Pizza a try. You certainly will want to come back again for more.
