I live across the street from Brolly Hut so my family has been going here for years. It used to be one of my favorite spots. Now it is ATROCIOUS! Terrible food and Terrible customer service! At times the food is still ok, but most of the time it is just Ridiculously bad. The staff is rude and takes absolutely no responsibility for serving subpar food. Today was the finale straw! I will not be wasting my money here again. Our order today was over $40 and nothing in it was good. Chili cheese fries had barely any chili and the chili that was on it was thick and flavorless - fries tasted cold and old! Both double cheese burgers were dry and flavorless mine had a disgusting old mushy tomato. sausage breakfast were ok I ordered a grilled jalapeño that they were to lazy to grill so they did a slight toast on it and stuffed in the bag. They used to have the best grilled jalapeño. Now they just throw them in the deep fryer or if you ask for it it grilled I guess they're not going to bother to make sure it's cooked. Then after they're done slapping together all the nasty food they shove it all in one bag so that all the boxes and food gets smashed! Been coming here since 5 years old, the place has changed. The quality of food and customer service isn't great. For example I ordered chili cheese fries yet it barely had any chili or cheese lol They have new sizes for the cups , the medium drink is so small. The drinks are too overpriced! Food is good I've been there plenty of times there's no doubt about that, but the service needs some help. Not taking anything away from the two guys that work there they seemed happy to be at work and to serve their customers. Thank you for that! But the woman working there...not sure what her name is, gave me attitude when I simply asked if she can cut the hotdogs in half so that the children may eat them without making a mess. One entrance and exit doesn't seem too smart as the customers are too close in proximity walking back-and-forth in the narrow pathway. It would be nice to see the other door accessible for an exit so that customers are not walking over each other. I'll be back. Nestled between a dry cleaners and an optometry clinic on busy Hawthorne Blvd it's very easy to miss. I had a craving for a hearty breakfast something fast food joints can't match. I called in an order for the two egg breakfast with hashbrowns, toast, and coffee and it was ready within ten minutes. For $6.50 it filled me up good. The hashbrowns tasted like the ones grandma would make while you're spending a Sunday morning at her home. The coffee tasted like good old fashioned diner coffee and was fresh. Here I am 2.5 years later and Brolly Hut is still a 5 star place. Out of all the places to eat this place is my favorite. Sure I have ate at Steve's, Rod's, Classic but they don't even compare to Brolly Hut. Plus on the weekends you can get homemade menudo. Just yesterday I purchased lunch for my office. I ordered 3 chicken salads and a BLT. The BLT was fine, but the salads were horrible! I first ate the salads and it tasted like pure aspirin. The taste was so bad that I ran to the store to get some juice. At first, we thought we just had bit into a strong onion, but then my co-worker ate her salad and she got the same horrid taste. She mentioned that the cucumber gave that taste, so she tried a cucumber individually to make sure. It ended it being the cucumbers. I immediately told the 3rd staff not to eat it. I quickly called the restaurant and told them of the bad salads, explaining that it was most likely the cucumbers. The Brolly Hut employee then quickly put me on hold for a few minutes and came back and confirmed it was the cucumber, more specifically the cucumber skin. She then proceeded to tell me to pick out the cucumbers and continue eating the salad. I responded, "I've been a loyal customer for 10 years and you want me to pick up the cucumbers and continue eating the salad? My coworkers and I did not feel comfortable eating the salad like that." The staff then put me on hold again and put the manager on the phone. The manager then said to go pick up a salad without the cucumbers, only after I insisted and repeated myself multiple times. I ended up going to Brolly Hut and just requested a refund. They did give me a refund, but refused to refund the extra money for the avocado. I left it at that. Anytime I've gone to any other restaurant and happen to receive bad food, they NEVER have a problem or question to receive new food. As a customer for almost 10 years, I am disappointed in the customer service I received when a mistake was made on their part. Not only were they hesitate to give me new salads then changed it to e refund, I received an attitude on the phone when I initially called. read more

This place is definitely underestimated! During my freshman year of college at CSUF, I met a really good friend who was also from the 310 area. She raved about these chili cheese fries so much that one day, when we were both home for a weekend, we met up at the Gardena location (now closed) just so I could try it out. It definitely did not let down. Just a few days later, in fact, we drove all the way from our apartment in Fullerton just so our other friends can try it too. Fast forward to 7 years later and as I'm driving to work I spot a familiar name- BROLLY HUT!! I had to come after work to make sure it was the same one.... And indeed it was. Everything here is pretty darn good. It's your go-to burger joint. I choose it over Steve's on prairie even though Steve's has a drive through and Brolly does not. They expect you to pay for your extras so don't try to get anything for free. They food is bomb and speaks for its self. I gave it 4 stars because one time the ice machine wasn't cleaned properly and my Sprite tasted like grease. It no longer tastes like grease. It was cool refreshing Sprite today.
