Spicy Vegan Bowl
Valerie B.

We missed out on our previous visit but I called yesterday morning and spoke to the sweetest young lady "Liz" who checked with the kitchen and assured me that all ingredients for the spectacular Spicy Vegan Bowl were available for us. We arrived a couple of hours later and were greeted by our favorite employee, Robert. He couldn't be more delightful. Always happy and happy to help when needed. Our fantastic server Pablo was friendly, helpful, professional and we couldn't ask for better service. The Spicy Vegan Bowl was as tasty as ever!!! We love it! The Broken Yolk remains our favorite breakfast/brunch restaurant in Palm Springs.

Stumbled in here during my trip for a conference. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I asked for recommendations, and my waiter suggested a dish that allowed me to try three different things, which I really enjoyed. The food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Sweet Trio and upgraded to the combo. I will say it was a little too sweet for my personal taste, but I think that's more of a preference than anything else. My only real complaint was the eggs. I'm not usually picky about my eggs, but these definitely tasted like they were made from a mix/box, and you could tell. Overall, the food was good, the service was friendly, and I had a pleasant experience. I would definitely come back!

I'm so glad I stumbled upon Broken Yolk cafe!! It's conveniently located on the second floor a block away from Hotel Zoso. Broken Yolk was so good, my friends and I ended up going there for breakfast all 3 days in a row that we were in town. The first day, I got the chicken tortilla soup and turkey sandwich combo that comes with a delicious choice of salads. I got the berry salad which I definitely recommend! The chicken tortilla soup was SO good that my friends and I got it every single visit. The other favorite repeat order for my friends were the eggs benedict! Above the food, what I have to comment on is the amazing service by Richard and Pablo! They help serve the bar area which is where we sat since we didn't have any reservations. We continued to sit there every day because of how wonderful they were! You can tell that they both love working with one another and that they are willing to go above and beyond for their customers! Despite a fully packed restaurant, Richard personally went and got my chicken tortilla soup when I decided I want it last second after we had already ordered/received our dishes. Thank you for making all our breakfast meals so delightful, Richard and Pablo!!

This venue was great! We needed a really good breakfast before a very busy day! We were seated quickly, service was great and the food was delicious! Huge portions too! So happy my daughter and I shared! We were asked by multiple employees if we were ok and if we needed anything. We really enjoyed this restaurant and so thankful yelp helped us once again with a great find in a new place for my daughter's birthday weekend!!

I had the French toast Trio, it was tasty! The fries are absolutely amazing!!! Friendly bartender, great atmosphere, delicious food!! Definitely would come again!!

I'll start with the good stuff...we absolutely loved the cinna-cake! We were able to get 1 to share as a side with my partners omelette. She got the Greek with fruit and I got the choose two Benedict's with home fries. I did one sope and one asada. I loved the barbacoa on the sope Benedict so I'd definitely get that again. The home fries were good too. The only problem was I asked for my eggs poached hard and I could tell as soon as the server put my plate down that the eggs were super runny (because they were jiggly). We'd been waiting a while at that point so I didn't want to send the eggs back. That leads me to the bad stuff...service was quite slow. There was a weird vibe between some of the wait staff and I couldn't tell what was going on, but it was weird.

Real review. Hostess was sweet and arguably the hardest worker in the restaurant. With just a couple other tables, the poor service from our waitress was terrible. The waitress fixed on her phone behind the bar, us having to constantly ask the hostess for service. Food was nothing better than Denny's. Waitress said the Bloody Mary special was award winning. Had an inedible old bacon strip and the waitress could not even properly salt the rim. Mix was blah and no alcohol taste. French Toast was just sugar and flat. Handed the tip directly to the hostess because she was doing all the work.

2nd time here and service is still great! Everyone was warm and attentive specially Richard! He helped us out today. He even greeted us outside even before we got seated. Very welcoming place. I love the food!

Food was ok.. service was SLOW.... We shared the meat lovers omelette and substituted a pancake which was awesome btw some places don't let you do that.. food was decent. Enough for the two of us to share .. service was so slow and we went early on a Saturday morning so they weren't even busy yet.. so many other good places to eat in PS .. maybe they were having a off day ... IDK.

El Fuego Omelet
Pat C.

I love spicy food. It can't be too hot for me. So I ordered the El Fuego ( the fire) omelette. It was the best omelette I've ever had. It was loaded with spicy chorizo sausage and sliced jalapeños. It had guacamole and a tomato salsa. The cheese was slightly spicy too. It was the best! The service was amazing. Seems to have an all male staff of incredibly friendly people from James the host/manager to Richard our server. The food runners were smiling. Great friendly service! The mimosas flight was fun. Perfect amount for two people. I love the outdoor balcony tables. So cute. Great, fun place.

Best place to bring family and friends for brunch. Great service was provided by Pablo. Other servers were also very accommodating. The place is nice and clean.

Amazingly cute restaurant! I parked out back and was taking in all the sites whilst walking and totally walked past the entrance leading the upper floor. I don't mind walking upstairs for food but what sold me was how nice the breeze was the completely flowed through the entire building! It gets hot in Palm Springs and that was amazing to walk upstairs and feel the air! The food was pretty good honestly! The torta was a little too soft to pick up, it just fell apart but that's exactly why we have forks! I also ordered a Bellini and the purée was a little sweet but paired perfect with the torta! It is a fairly loud establishment but once you tune the others out, it's an amazing place to have breakfast!

Do they accept reservations on weekends?

Hi Brian, We now offer reservations for this location! You must reserve at least 4 hours before the party and your entire party must be present to be seated. We offer this feature every day of the week!

Are you the same Broken Yoke Cafe that was located on the north end of Sausalito, CA., next to the bike path? It was a favorite of my wife and me when we lived in Sausalito!

Hi Clyde, You may be referring to a different restaurant. We have not expanded into that territory yet!

Do you serve sandwiches?

Hi Sydney, We do have a sandwich section on our menu! The sandwiches we serve are the Crispy Chicken, Club, BLT, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Tuna Melt and our new Veggie sandwich. We also have a soup, salad, half sandwich combo!

I've been getting a little fed up with relying on Google recommendations lately. You'll see places with 5,000+ reviews and almost five stars, then you actually go there and the food is a huge disappointment. FARM was one of those places where the food actually lived up to the reviews and the hype. I ordered the Spanish Migas with a side of potatoes and a small French press. The Migas were perfectly cooked, and the spice level was just right. You could taste each ingredient separately, and the salsa was really good too. The potatoes were probably one of my favorite parts--crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The coffee was great as well. My server, Carol R., was very attentive and kept checking on me throughout the meal. She even double-checked the name and receipt, which I appreciated because she was clearly paying attention to the details and making sure everything was correct. The atmosphere is really nice too. It actually feels like you're sitting on a farm, which makes the whole brunch experience feel special. And considering the portion size, quality of the food, and how popular this place is, I thought the price was very reasonable. This place actually met my expectations, which has been rare lately. If you're in Palm Springs and looking for a good brunch spot, I'd definitely recommend FARM. I just wish I had found this place sooner!

A small detail, but one I noticed. I ordered the buttermilk and corn pancakes with bacon, and they were really good. The pancakes have a dense, chewy texture, with little pieces of fresh corn throughout, which was a nice surprise. The maple syrup also came in a cute little can. The full order was more food than I could finish, so next time I'd probably get one pancake with a side of bacon. If you prefer lighter, fluffier pancakes, the texture may not be for you, but if you like something denser and chewier, they're worth trying. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict and thought they were good, but he probably wouldn't order them again. He prefers eggs Benedict on an English muffin, while Cheeky's serves theirs on a soft, biscuit-type bread. So this would mostly come down to personal preference. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was also really good. Overall, Cheeky's is a good choice if you want a pleasant patio, friendly service, fresh juice, and creative pancake options. I was a little scared when I read that most of the recent reviews were negative. I was thinking "oh no! What did I get us into." This place is a blast from the past. The decor is that of a mid century modern and is a really cozy quadrangle set up. The interior feels homey and the property is set up like an air bnb with shared amenities. They play 1950s music all day on speakers throughout the complex, it creates that vintage feel but can get repetitive after a few days. Lounge with tables, board games, travel brochures, couches, fire place, coffee and tea, and industrial kitchen for use during your stay. (Old reviews mention happy hour, breakfast, snacks, etc. these are no longer offered but why not just bring your own?) Each room has microwave and mini fridge. Outdoor gas fire pit for use. The pool is small but has a deep end 8ft which is nice. There are pool noodles and some tubes to use. The hot tub is spacious and powerful jets. We stayed in the Hawaiian surf room, loved the theme it was so cute and felt like a tropical getaway. The shower is small but functional. Good AC unit with a remote control and ceiling fan. Surfboard coffee table and wicker love seat add to the tropical feel. Overall this was a nice private getaway. You can be left alone to relax! If you need anything you can text the hotel and someone replies super quick in my experience. The hotel feels very secure with codes needed to enter the complex and security cameras at the entrance and surrounding the complex. (Probably for management to check and make sure everything is running smoothly). I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I have stayed at a few different boutique hotels in the area. This would be a top choice! Please realize this is an older complex and it does show some wear and tear but come on the building is probably 100 years old or somewhere close to that. If you are expecting a sterile, high end, resort feel for your stay this is not your place... but otherwise this is a great choice! I couldn't help but feel bad for the owners with all of the really bad reviews on here because that was truly not my experience. I left off one star because there are definitely areas of improvement that could be made but not enough to ruin my experience.
