You can call ahead to have your order ready. They have a large variety of bagels and other pastries. You can get breakfast and lunch options. So this was the only place open today on Christmas Day for breakfast and the quality has gone down hill. I cannot believe that they would even bag up breakfast sandwiches like that. What I always looked forward to most when I had the opportunity to get out in Bayonne, was visiting this bagel shop for a Taylor ham, egg, and cheese everything bagel! Magical! There's nothing that compares! This place is no frills, it's small, it's old, it's laid back, but most importantly the food is amazing and the prices are great! I recommend taking away a tub of their house mixed cream cheese (green onion is my fav) and a couple bagels to go as well. I usually really like this bagel shop, but i had an experience today that made me very uncomfortable. They have signs everywhere saying how they always wear gloves and NO ONE was wearing gloves. They barehanded our bagels the entire time including putting their palms on the bagel to hold it steady as they cut it. This was most definitely not sanitary and directly in opposition with their clearly posted policy. I will think twice before eating here again. read more

So after Wonder Bagels opened open in Bayonne I must day I have really stopped going to this store. They have good bagels, but sometimes they are hard, they are made at inconsistent sizes, and most importantly not always as fresh as I would like. The Black Russians (pumpernickel bagel with sesame seed) are a must try. They make their own cream cheese here as well. Many different kinds (sweet, salty, and salmony) for $4.50 and $9.00. Kind of pricey but well worth it. Croissants, muffins, turnovers and other pastries also baked on-site. Recession Buster breakfast deal is available till 11am. Includes a double tall breakfast sandwich (double meat, egg, cheese) with large coffee for $4.75. Definitely worth it and way less greasy than Duncans or Donalds. Friendly staff. Sometimes a very long wait time, but as long as the shorter guy here is helping you it will be a pleasant experience. Credit cards accepted with a $5 minimum purchase. read more
