I went back and this time I tried their Tres Leches cake, the small container for $5.99. It was delicious!! One of the best cakes I have ever tried. I just ordered from them via DoorDash. The Banana pudding was nasty. Keep in mind, I'm from the South, so I have a standard. There were no bananas. I kid you not. It tasted like instant pudding with a few generic brand Nila wafers. I also ordered chocolate covered strawberries. I've ordered from them before from here, and they've been ok. Came here again and they have way more variety now, lots of cookies and brownies and fancy things. I had the Kit Kat Tart and chocolate Dubai brownie. Both excellent, the brownie was more like fudge. But not super sweet. Very rich and dense and had the crunch of pistachio and kataifi. The Kit Kat Tart was crumbly, tasted like a deconstructed Kit Kat and also not too sweet. Very good. This is a brand new bakery that opened in Bayonne a few months ago . The staff is always extremelly helpful and very accommodating . The floors are always spotless clean and the cakes and desserts displays are spotless and very well kept ,their pastries are so perfect they looks like canvas because they are all well made . Last year my fiance and I ordered a chocolate raspberry birthday cake from a local, expensive and well-known bakery in our Grove Street area. It was pretty, full raspberries throughout and layered perfectly. Then you go to eat it, this was the biggest $160 mistake I've ever imagined. 80% of the cake remained untouched at the party. Now Julius.... I ordered this online on their very easy to use app. I think it was a steal for what I got, price-wise. Look and taste wise this was perfect. I cannot believe the taste and it's extra of this chocolate mousse cake. The service was quick, just an easy pickup. The store is beautifully decorated and everything is mouth-watering. Fresh slices is an issue here. They are very inconsistent and it's frustrating because you never know what you're going to get. Today is Valentine's Day and their pineapple slices were so bad i had to throw them out. Their strawberry slices have been stale in the past. Finally a bakery that makes cannoli and sfogliatelle the traditional way...with real ricotta and citrus zest. I was craving a sweet pick me up after a month of strict dieting, but didnt wanna order the usual muffin or chocolate chip cookie. I found Julius and they had sfogliatelle in their menu...it's been 20 years since I had a sfogliatelle, so I ordered them and they were amazing! The real thing. Scrumptious with a cup of black coffee balancing the enveloping sweet pastyness of the ricotta filling. They are small size and flaky. I got three to share with my son. He love them too. I have been there several times and I am always amazed not only at the variety of choices, but the quality of anything and everything I have ever gotten there. Everything is fresh and the staff is amazing. The owner is there to speak to and will do anything you want if it isn't there and his staff is friendly and informative and engaging. It is a pleasure to go to this bakery. I have ordered so many things from there from simple cookies to a pie and I have never been disappointed.
