I've been to many a cafe in my time. I stick to what I like. I ordered a cappuccino with milk and sugar . Not too sweet but enough because cappuccino are made to taste a bit stronger . I was asked 3x if I wanted flavored syrup. I politely said no. Not something I've never been asked before when ordering a cappuccino. The empanadas had this giant red name stamps on them. I wanted to order one but was not sure about the big red labeling. Turned me off to them. I ordered a ham/cheese croissant to go with the coffee. The croissant was super sweet and was a bold contrast to the ham/cheese combination. I really did not expect that. The staff wasn't rude but they weren't friendly either lol they were kinda just there. The space is super super tiny. It was myself an one other person but if she were to have stood up or someone came in we'd be on top of each other I was a bit confused on where to find the menu at first. They had a chalkboard with items on it for basic stuff . The cost was decent . Overall spent $8 The food and coffee was ok to me. Can't say I was impressed This cafe wasn't really for me and nothing stood out about it . Maybe others will have a different experience than I had but I will not be returning . read more

This place is so cute and cozy. It's small, but still has nice seating. The counter server was so lovely and sweet! I was curious about the pastries in the window and she explained it so deliciously that I had to buy one. It tastes even better than she described. And my cappuccino was also very good! Stopped in here in a whim and intend on making this a mandatory stop whenever in Bayonne. The lavender latte was delicious and light. combining it with the Carmel chocolate mouse pastry was a 10 out of 10. The empanada selection makes for tough choice selection; with every empanada sounding more delicious than the last. Update: today I had their spinach and mozzarella empanada and it's my favorite one yet! I also had their choclate Pasteur; it was on the sweet side yet still good (nice and carmelized with sugar on the outside) I love how each empanada has a stamp on it. It makesmakes it a very distinct sm panda. I'm not used to this type of crispy crust but I like it! It's not as oily and it seems hand-made. Empanadas: I tried the spicy chicken got my son a regular chicken and also a guava and cheese so I'll start off with the one I didn't like as much due to my personal taste. The guava/ cheese had way too much guava and I hardly tasted the cheese. However the spicy chicken empanada had tons of chicken in it (generously stuffed) maybe too much but it still tasted good and having too much chiken is a good problem to gave. The dipping sauces were a nice treat, though unnecessary since my spicy chicken was highly flavored. I'm saving the sauces though! The bakery items all look great, and my son ate his chicken empanada so that is a win I appreciate. They have some small outdoor seating and air-conditioning in doors which is great. First time here. Like the fact that the empanadas are baked and not fried. Chicken was tasty. Big turn off was the red dye stamp on each empanada to identify it. Yes, food coloring but unappealing. Tried this place on a whim and WOW! Excellent lattes, sandwiches de miga, breakfast croissant and hot cocoa (for the kid). Also ordered empanadas and dying to have them for lunch! Not sure if the owners are Uruguayan, but the sandwiches, mate, alfajores, and dulce de leche lead me to believe for sure South American. Many Latinos make empanadas of all kinds, but these are quintessential eats in Uruguay and Argentina. Will definitely be back for more! read more

I stopped by with my sister after hearing good things about KK's empanadas, and we decided to go with ordering a few in the Guava & Cheese flavor. There were so many other tempting options, such as their Tres Leches Cake, but we went with something quick & easy to eat on the go. The Guava & Cheese empanada was delicious and was served warm. I had payed for food here through cashapp. my food cost $12 and their system took $20 out of my account. they had told me it was a glitch. i then asked for them to give me cash as compensation considering they quite literally stole my money intentionally or not. they then told me they can't because I could be scamming them, even after showing them the transaction. which proves I'm not. while they proceed to "scam" me out of the rest of my money. this is absolutely ridiculous and blatant stealing. the food wasn't even good on top of that but honestly that could be biased because of how enraged I was on this situation. bottom line never eating here again. read more

Wow! This place is such a gem! I stopped by for a latte and a breakfast treat. The latte was excellent and the almond croissant was so delicious! I also ordered (4) empanadas to go as well. Awesome addition to Hackettstown since it's hard to find good empanadas in Warren County. The restaurant is a cute little place with a large variety of empanadas. Love how the empanadas are stamped with the name so when you purchase more than one, you know which is which when you get home. So far we tried the Spinach, veggie, Philly cheesesteak and Cuban, all delicious. They are baked and not fried and ask for their spicy sauce! Will definitely be back to try the other varieties.
