And after wrapping up the order, which also included one Arizona Iced Tea; and a box of supposedly "freshly baked" Italian cookies, I whipped out my trusty Chase Credit Card only to be told that it was "cash only!" Again, no signs, anywhere. Maybe it was a mistake to pluck three $20 bills from the small wad of cash in my pants pocket. When I asked Charlie how much for everything, he replied $58, without hesitation. I quickly re-tabulated my little lunch order. The number still sounded like an awful lot, all things considered.
