My new coffee go-to every morning. Just a quick skate away, Broadway Donuts has a huge selection of flavored Gavina coffees and equally impressive array of Coffeemate creamers. It's a very simple concept and I never have to wait more than 60 seconds in line to drop my $1.50 for a 16-oz. cup of Java. It's also a bit of hangout with a few people chatting at the outdoor tables, but I'm always too tired in the morning to open my eyes, let alone strike up a conversation with a stranger. As for donuts and baked goods, they seem pretty average. Right now I'm not eating either. read more

Broadway Donuts - The infinite loop of coffee and cream - Bakeries Near Me - Long Beach, California

I finally had an opportunity to stop here for coffee, being that this place in my area comes highly recommended and on my way to the office. Wow, when I first walked in I was overwhelmed by the variety. I scanned the flavors of coffee with even more choices for creamers available. I went with the butterscotch-flavored coffee and a caramel-flavored creamer. Unfortunately they were out of chocolate croissants by 9:30 so I just went with a savory jalapeno turkey and cheese; a good-sized croissant. I paid a total of $5.50. The owner was pleasant, just don't mention that sugar is bad, as did the lady ahead of me in line who brought it up. Come on now, you can't really insinuate that to a guy who owns a donut shop. I was next in line and he was still a tad peeved but I understood where he was coming from. I gave my two cents that moderation was key and went on my merry way. As far as parking, I was lucky there was a spot available by the entrance. If there hadn't been, I would have just skipped it. I am hopeful to return to try the other flavors of coffee and perhaps a donut. read more

Outstanding Ham and Cheese Croissant and Turkey Croissant!!!! Great friendly Service

I have been frequenting Broadway Donuts for about 5 years now, and i feel like a part of their family. The owners always ask how I am doing when they see me - just a great family owned business. As I stated in my tip, they have about 20 different flavors of coffee, and about a two dozen different variety of donuts and breakfast croissant's. And remember - CASH ONLY. P.S.S. Dexter filmed here as well. Season 7, episode 8 - see pic. read more

Broadway Donuts - Dexter turning Broadway Donuts into Sadie's. - Bakeries Near Me - Long Beach, California

This place was amazing. There must be 30 different flavors of coffee and the same for the creamers. Donut's we're fantastic. Made my day

This my favorite donut shop. I don't what I will do if I ever move from the area. The owners wake up at like 3 a.m. to make the donuts fresh every morning and you can definitely taste the difference. No stale donuts here. Not only do they have good donuts but they have at least 20 different kinds of coffee, a variety of juices, fresh fruit, and ice coffee to choose from. I've recommended this place to a few people and they were not disappointed. read more

Love the extensive coffee selection! There are tons of options for you to self service from, as well as dairy alternatives, flavored creamer, and a wide selection of tasty donuts and pastries. Hard to ever leave with just a coffee. read more

Small family business. Amazing donuts. Buttermilk is my fave. Great coffee selection with a ridiculous amount of flavored creamers to choose from. Service is steady. read more

The bestest and freshest donuts and croissants; I've been eating these on a regular basis for a few years now and can't get tired of it.

These are the most expensive dozen I've ever bought and nowhere near worth the price. The donuts leave a film of grease and butter in your mouth and instantly caused indigestion which no donut has ever made me feel. I don't know how in the world this place got 4.5 stars but don't buy the hype. Maybe it's lack of competition in the area that make people believe these are great but there are several places in Orange County that are far better including Kelly's Donuts and even Winchell's. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating (but not these donuts!). read more

One word: DEXTER. Donuts are good, coffee is good. Maybe I'm not getting the best one? read more

This used to be one of my go-to donut shops years ago, but haven't been in awhile. Perhaps my tastes have changed, or the quality has diminished, or a bit of both, but after my visit here this morning, I can't say that I'm as impressed with this shop anymore. First, I showed up just after 9am on Monday, and their selection was already more than half depleted. Granted, it was National Donut Day, so it's possible they got ransacked a little, but you would think a donut shop owner would be aware of this and add to the daily production as needed. I got two donuts, one Old-Fashioned, and a blueberry cake. The old fashioned was so moist that the edge pieces fell off of it as it went into the bag. That's not necessarily a good thing, because too moist means it probably wasn't cooked enough. When I broke it open, you could see a solid ring around the inside that proved my suspicion. The blueberry donut was better, still moist, but not undercooked. The flavor of the blueberry was subtle, but slightly chemical. This probably comes from a blueberry mix instead of actual blueberries, which is fine for most donut shops I suppose. But when compared to blueberry donuts from shops like Simone's at Stearns and Palos Verde, this donut can't match up. Lots of people rave about the coffee here, which I just don't get. Just because they offer an extensive selection doesn't mean that any of it is good. The brand of coffee they serve is one of those boil-in-a-bag brands, where there is zero nuance to how it's made. Having 20+ selections of crap coffee is still crap coffee. Adding 40 different types of processed creamer doesn't improve that situation at all. Vanilla flavored coffee is a travesty in itself. Adding sugary, vanilla creamer on top of that is a crime against humanity. You don't want coffee--you want desert in a cup. Starbucks does a better job at that. There's definitely better donuts in town, and most certainly better coffee. Recreation Coffee on Long Beach Blvd has great coffee and I believe some decent baked goods. KB Donuts on 4th and Ximeno has much better donuts, will have plenty to last, and the people who own it are generally more friendly. read more

OK, so the Long Beach locals living near Broadway and Orange know that BROADWAY DONUTS is the best place to get a hot cup of Joe and fresh donuts made that morning. Sitting on the corner visible from the intersecting streets, right across from 7 Eleven near "My Bicycle" and "At Last Cafe", they are hard to miss! This is a friendly owner/operated family business that welcomes its customers with a smile and a "hello". The regulars are treated like old friends as the owners will take an interest in getting to know them by engaging in relevant chit chat. Broadway Donuts opens early at 4:30 am so it's convenient for those early risers who need a boost in the morning to start their day. If you like variety, then you're in luck because they offer more coffee and creamer options than 7 Eleven!! You can choose from more than 15 different coffees from around the world ranging from medium to dark roast. Also, there is an equal amount (if not more) of flavored creamers to compliment your cup of Joe!!. A small will cost you around $1.50 and the medium is $1.75 per cup. Support your local businesses and buy from them, because the money will stay local and generate more wealth within the community. When you buy from large chain stores, you're putting the money in the pockets of big corporate making them rich, while it bleeds the local economy causing local businesses and the community to suffer. Broadway Donuts - Bakeries Near Me - Long Beach, California

First time here and I loved it. They are cash only so be aware. They don't have any signs for each of the donuts but the guy was super nice and told me what each one was. I ended up with the maple and chocolate glazed. The maple tasted amazing. Not too sweet. The chocolate was also good! Both were fresh and soft. They seemed to be making them throughout the day so you can always wait for a fresh batch. Their coffee on the other hand... I've never seen many different types or flavors in one place at once. The coffee was hot and fresh! You can choose your cup and add whatever condiments you want. Great little spot. Wish they had more seating though. I'll be back for sure! read more

This place is an excellent example of how a small business should be ran. Extremely friendly staff at this family owned shop. The self serve coffee is very convenient and fun to use with the wide variety of flavors and creamers. The donuts are perfectly baked and are quite fluffy. The ham and cheese breakfast sandwiches are simple and basic but taste really good, definitely worth it. Lastly the prices here are very reasonable, however the only flaw is that they are cash only. read more

Big fan! Had appointment for At Last at 1130 but we got here an hour early so decided to get some coffee and try a donut. The owner said he's 70 years old and was super welcoming and nice. They had a crazy selection of coffee blends and creamer. Tried their glazed twist and blueberry donut. They both tasted great! Fluffy and sweet. Not stale at all. Great donuts. Cash only. After 5 weeks of being closed in support of social distancing, Broadway Donuts is open again! Everything we've ever had here has been delicious. The apple fritters and stuffed croissants consistently hit the spot. They have the widest range of coffee and creamers I've ever seen in one spot. Best part are the owners, who are super friendly. You couldn't ask for a better neighborhood donut shop. read more

Terrible customer service , they are rude to their customer. The food is ok ,the price is expensive for what you get . They only take cash and they put an attitude if you ask any question. Wont come back because of bad customer service. Just finished eating the croissant and the dough was not cooked properly ,too chewy. It cost $4 for a ham croissant . read more

This is The Number One donut shop in our community. Even better than that is their Coffee! You can see people blocks away carrying their coffee home. They enforce masks. When they reopened during the pandemic, they had built an amazing glass wall to serve and project all in the shop. Try them once and you'll be back! read more

Ok people! If you want friendly service, great food, fantastic coffee and tons of creamer choices this place is for you. If not, that's cool, go away we don't want you here. The coffee and croissants are delicious as are the donuts. On top of that the family who own this shop are the best! They are always friendly and remember each of their customers. Every time my dad goes in they remember his favorite donut (apple fritters) and put it aside for him and they always offer to warm up my turkey and cheese croissant(they are my favorite). And! Even though because of work I can't always make it, when I finally do, I'm welcomed with a warm greeting and made to feel like I'm a valued customer. All in all wonderful coffee, wonderful food, Fantastic service. If you are visiting and are just looking for coffee definitely come here. Bring cash! read more

You'll find me here on Saturday mornings. GOOD donuts ,YAY! Cash only , BOO! I literally only get the jalapeño, ham and cheese croissant and an orange glazed. They have an overwhelming selection of coffees. This place is family owned and ran and everyone is really sweet. Words to the owners: I never have cash so I go into 711 across the street and buy two bananas for $1 and get cash back. I have too many bananas now and I would gladly spend that extra money at your establishment if for nothing else than the convenience. I can't be the only one! Would be great if you accepted cards. read more

By far the best donuts in the area, hands down. I'm SUPER picky about good donuts and loved every donut that I've had here. Popped in for the first time after deciding to go for a sunrise walk and I'm glad I did - even at 530am the small shop was brightly lit with a steady stream of regular customers, and the gentleman behind the counter eager to please. I tried the buttermilk bar as I'd seen several people rating it highly here but it was a bit too rich for me, so I think I'll try something lighter next time. My partner had the blueberry cake donut which they loved, just the right amount of stodgy, fluffy and sweet. The coffee was hot and tasted freshly made not stale, and well priced. This was the very definition of Cheap and Cheerful and I'll definitely be back again soon! read more

Raise your hand if you love creamer in your coffee. *Raises hand* Raise your hand if you enjoy the not-so-good-for-you, frou-frou creamer flavors. *Raises the hand not currently holding a cup of coffee with Italian Sweet Cream (unarguably the #1 flavor)* Broadway Donuts is a small shop with a large coffee & creamer bar.
