A local donut shop in Southern California is something every person should experience at some point in their life. This store is a classic example of the family owned, local donut shop with hand made treats to help start your day with a little pick me up. The donuts are reasonably priced with a nice variety of products to choose from. The donuts are flavorful, The croissants flaky and the fillings abundant! Honestly, I wish more communities had places like this. I always find it sad to see the over priced crumbs you get at the national chains. This place offers a great product at a fair price. And after all, couldn't we all use more places like this? read more

This is hands down the best family run donut shop in all of Long Beach, a true gem! I am over the moon each time I get my donut fix from Broadway Donuts. The owners are the cutest and kindest and put so much love and quality care into their craft and business. The donuts are moist, delicious, and not oily, nor do I feel ashamed after indulging in one, or two, or three from here. I've found that not all donuts are created equally and these are top tier. Something about their chocolate glaze and frosting is just so decadent! The croissants and pastries are also wonderful. A family favorite! read more

Good donuts and nice people. Lots of coffee options and occasionally they have Vegan donuts.

How TF does this place have good reviews when there's BUGS IN THE FOOD?!! Been wanting to try this place for a while from all the good reviews and so we went on a Thursday morning around 10am, not that much selection. First off the lady didn't even say hi or anything. Just asked what we want. She proceeds to rush us (even though there's only one person in the store) and says $4. That's it. Not the best customer service but whatever it's just donuts. We get our donuts and on the drive home I open the bag since I want a bite. I take out a donut and there's an ANT on it. NO WAY that they got there anywhere else but the store since I've literally JUST got the donuts. I look in the bag and there's more ants in the bag. DISGUSTED. So we go back and I ask for a refund and she's says "Sometimes that happens" WHAT?! that's NEVER happened to me before mam and shouldn't happen even "sometimes". And she seems to think I just want to exchange the donuts. Uhhhh no I just want a refund and to never come back here again. read more

Best set up donuts and variety of coffee other shops should learn from this. Awesome place

This is an Asian owned donut shop. I support any small business that I can, specially from ppl of color. First time I went was really pleasant. We'll call the first person (Girl 1) she was sweet and attentive. Second time, the old man as he was helping me (like in a grumpy mood) starts smiling at the person behind me and telling him he'll be right with him and that it was good to see him. The guy looked embarrassed as the old man was still assisting me. He literally responded, it's ok take care of him first (meaning me). I was like wtf. Ok. Whatever. I said, imma give it another chance. Another time, again it was the same old man. He couldn't wait to get rid of me. I convinced myself that he's just grumpy. I went in today, younger family members around my age. No customers in the shop, I just stood there and no one says anything to me. Finally one guy tells GIRL 2. Signals to help me bc she was just chatting with another family member of to the side. I felt like wow I think this is it. Last time. Listen folks, if you have a business please take care of your customers and don't make them feel invisible. There are plenty of options out there. Now I rather walk .2 miles more and get better service. Eff roachy place. read more

Rude. Expensive. And Cash only. I don't get it. It's 2023. Went in to get a croissant and it was $6 besides the fact that it's cash only. I don't understand how you have a tiny selection of pastries that are over priced yet only accept cash. read more

On the very first bite I had a vision. I saw the clouds part and a host of heavenly bodies appeared with trumpets in hand and they blasted a note that reminded me of jr. high school band where you recognize the tune but it's a little sharp and flat at the same time. For a brief moment my focus returned back to the bite I had just taken and I realized how light and airy the glazed donut was. Sweet but not too sweet, it was the best donut I'd had in a long time. Fresh is the way to go. My mind finally cleared of that first taste euphoria and now seeing clearly, I realized my vision was the morning sun glaring through my windshield and the horny horn sound was coming from the angry driver behind me who wanted my just vacated parking spot. Apparently as I was backing out with fat pill in mouth at the same time, I bit down and went into some type of pleasure shock. Warning: don't donut and drive. read more

This is right by my place and we always walk there in the mornings. It's got the largest selection of coffee. They are cash only! It's worth it. The owner is the sweetest. One time he gave me my entire first meal on the house because I didn't know it was cash only. I had just moved in the neighborhood. I went back the next day and paid him but there's not many people I know that would give me $11 of coffee and doughnuts for free. The doughnuts are always soft and they melt in your mouth. The apple fritters are a must try! read more

Phenomenal people, baked goods, and coffee options! Cash only but worth saving some dollars for your visit.

Quality food, quality people. Kim and Sein have taken care of my morning coffee and croissant for the 6 months I stayed in Long Beach. No matter how busy they are, they will always welcome you with a big smile. The food is just as good as the people who make it. Everything is baked daily with high quality ingredients, making their pastries fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend the ham and cheese croissants: flaky, warm and the perfect amount of filling. I love them so much I'm taking half a dozen with me to Peru... You have to try this spot if you're in the area. And if you're not that close, trust me, the drive will be worth it. read more

The local coffee and donut spot where everybody knows your name. It's that type of spot. It's like the break room of Alamitos Beach. You're sure to see familiar faces and I haven't even got to the vase array of coffee and creamers available for you to pick from! The owners keep things hot, fresh and clean...exactly what you would want on a visit to a donut shop. They only take cash but if you don't have any on you, have no fear...an ATM is a quick walk across Orange in 7-11. If you love big smiles, tasty fresh donuts and hot coffee, Broadway Donuts is your spot! read more

I wanted to love this place because they were so sweet when I called However, $7.50 for Vietnamese coffee & 2 simple donuts is way too much! The plain cake donut was good However, the raised with chocolate glaze could've had a darker cocoa glaze and it was quite greasy. Again, $5+ for a pre-made Vietnamese coffee that just needed heating up is way above other shops in the area. read more

My favorite neighborhood donut shop! They have so many different kinds of coffee and creamers to choose from. I love their ham, cheese and jalapeño croissant. They will even warm it up for you. This place is cash only, but there is an ATM at the 7-11 across the street. The owners are very nice and used to put tables outside on the sidewalk before Covid. Perhaps they will again someday. The place is clean and they have juices, milk, sodas and bottled waters. The donuts are also really good, I'm not a fan of donuts in general but I have tried them here from time to time and they are good. This is also a good place to get a donut box for the office, just come early as the tend to run out before noon each day. read more

CASH ONLY (just like every other family owned donut shop, so no surprise at all). I'm always happy to bring a dozen Broadway Donuts to my work when I can (my coworkers absolutely love it too!). They are always so surprised at the high quality. A bakers dozen runs around $10, really decent deal! The taste is always fresh and I never feel like the dough is overly heavy in my stomach. The dough is so soft! The sizes of the donuts are very comparable to other donut shops. They even have a couple of "designer" flavors like red velvet, but they never fail to impress with the old fashion favorites. Parking can definitely be a challenge directly in front of the shop, but luckily parking is all over the place during their business hours (just make sure to pay attention to the signs in case of street sweeping). It's Long Beach, don't be afraid to walk a block or two; it's a very safe neighborhood. The inside has always been really clean, the space is used very well. The owners will provide about two small tables outside to enjoy their products, but it's really more or a grab and go type of place. Lucky for you, the surrounding area is an extremely walkable environment and I suggest you take a walk around and enjoy the historical homes in the area! The owners have always been extremely pleasant and I'm always happy to come in and support this small business. They do close a little early in the day, but I feel that their business hours really reflect the freshness of their product. Haven't tried the coffee, but there seems to be something for everyone in terms of flavor choices! If you're in the area, definitely check this place out!!! read more

Was feeling a bit jetlagged so I decided the to make the best out of the situation and get some fresh donuts at 4am! I debated going to m&m donuts for their fresh blueberry donuts, but decided it was too far and not worth the wait. I'm glad that I decided to go to Broadway donuts instead! When I first entered the store, I was greeted by an old Cambodian man and about three trays of donuts. Even though it was only three trays of donuts, there was an assortment of almost every kind of donut which made me question if they were day old. I asked him if these were yesterday's donuts and he laughed and said "We have been baking donuts all night! We never sell day old donuts!" It kind of made feel bad, but I just had to make sure! I ended up getting a blueberry donut, a maple old fashioned, a jalapeno ham and cheese, and then even came back for another jalapeno turkey and cheese croissant. The blueberry and maple donut wasn't the "just hot off the rack" that I'd been dreaming of but I could still tell it was very fresh! The main star goes to the jalapeno ham and cheese and the jalapeno turkey and cheese croissant. The first thing I noticed was how heavy it was! They really don't skimp out on the amount of turkey, ham, or cheese put into each croissant! I wish there was a bit more jalapeno but I never think anything has enough jalapeno or spice to it. The croissants were piping hot and they literally pulled it straight from the oven into a white bag for me. I only meant to share a ham and cheese croissant with my boyfriend at four in the morning but we ended up each getting our own and finishing it. The good thing about this place is that it's close to the beach so you can walk it off after! read more

Donuts are good but not great for me, I like more crunch on an old fashioned or buttermilk bar.

I come here almost every morning for the best bagel with ham and cheese and let me tell you it never disappoints, best of the best!

Great donuts. Especially if you like doughy donuts but damn THEY ARE EXPENSIVE. Not sure if they are worth the price. I hope other donuts spots can taste as good for a more economical price. read more

Last time I was in, the spark seemed to have been missing. The people in this neighborhood are getting dirtier and stranger. But really, my blueberry donut was NOT good. It didn't resemble anything blueberry - almost reminding me of a regular cake donut from Dunkin. Not sure if I'll be back, but I wish this family all the best. read more

The owner is one of the nicest people I've met in Long Beach. He helped me find the coffee I'd like (they have SO many flavors of coffee and creamers) and packaged up some donuts for my coworkers. Broadway Donuts - NEW vegan donuts!!!! - Bakeries Near Me - Long Beach, California

The cutest mom and pop donut shop in Long Beach. The interior is clean and no frills, with minimal decor. Raised and cake donuts, as well as a few danishes and croissants are displayed in the glass case. They have every traditional flavor you could hope for, plus some seasonal options. Coffee is self serve, and the vast selection lines the length of the shop-literally dozens of freshly brewed choices. I was happy to find two almond milk creamers in the lineup as well. My boyfriend brought me a bag of cake donuts from here last week and I was blown away at how delicate, moist, and flavorful they all were. My favorite was the cinnamon sugar. Today I tried a raised Maple Bar, and was equally impressed by the freshness and quality. The vanilla scented dough was light and airy, and the icing tasted of pure authentic maple syrup. Prices are absurdly cheap, and the employees are lovely. To the haters complaining about the "low quality" coffee and limited assortment of flavors-take your wannabe bougie attitudes to one the hundred other 'artisan' donut shops in LA. Broadway Donuts is old school, and they are amazing. Cash only! read more

By far, my Absolute FAVORITE place to grab some coffee! I've been coming here for 2 years and I can't stop coming! It's almost like an addiction. It's also near the beach. I have been here 3 times never bought anything. Something always goes weird. My first visit didnt have enough cash on hand. second time I was there for a dozen glazed. the employee took the next order which was actually a customer cutting in front as i was next. it was a nurse. she bought every last glaze. and this morning. just didn't like the vibe. didn't have many donuts in the window available. doubt i will be back. where are the good donut shops? my favorite was on 7th near Redondo but they closed read more

I came here on an early Sunday morning in the LBC after picking my iced coffee from Makai a mile away. Anyways, coming here for parking was a b*tch. Every parking spot in this block was taken and No! it wasn't people going to the donut shop either. I parked right across the street where the 7-11 is and needed to get cash back (keep in mind, Broadway Donuts is cash only). We bought a half dozen that cost around $9.00. The choices were: Chocolate Bar, Strawberry Frosted, Chocolate Frosted, Sugar Glazed. The Sprinkles and the Blueberry were my favorites. (Due fact I can have any Blueberry donut as long as its made fresh) but this was delicious and did not disappoint. The other donuts were okay nothing special about them, they were just your typical Mom and Pop fried types, they're not too bad. They are slightly pricey then what I normally pay for an ordinary half dozen. The cool part about Broadway's is the coffee choices! There is about 15 or more coffee flavors to chose from the pump! Not only that, they offer 25 or more flavor coffee creams to sweeten' your roast. Coffe-mate, Bailey's and International Delights are the brands you'll see at the coffee station. I recommend this place who are just in for typical old fashioned donuts and for people who want different coffee flavors everyday of the week, with their wide variety of coffee and creamer flavors. Now, what donut shop can beat that?! read more
