I LOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEE living at Broadstone Inkwell. I moved here approximately two weeks ago, relocating from Las Vegas.
I am originally from Los Angeles, and moved to Las Vegas 6 years ago into a home I purchased. I was incredibly nervous about moving back to Southern California this year, and the overall renting experience after owning a home in Las Vegas. I was also going through a lot personal issues/transitions that caused a lot of anxiety. These nerves were quickly calmed by the wonderful Broadstone Inkwell community manager Emmanuel.
I called Broadstone Inkwell in April 2024 (before the building opened), and Emmanuel answered. He took the time to conversate with me about the building and explained what it was like living in downtown Long Beach (a city I had never previously lived in). I told him that I wanted to live in Long Beach because it was close to my family and I wanted to live near or on the beach. I also confessed that I was considering other properties that were closer to the beach with ocean views such as: 1900 Ocean Beach Club, The Crest, and 200 West Ocean. He took the time to talk to me about the other properties I was considering, the downtown Long Beach living experience, and about how Broadstone Inkwell was the newest building in downtown Long Beach. I was almost immediately sold on Broadstone Inkwell (even though the building technically does not have ocean views, but is super close to the beach) after speaking to Emmanuel because of his thorough explanations, his kindness and willingness to help me, and the fact that Broadstone Inkwell is a brand NEW building (meaning I would be living in an apartment no one has ever lived in, and quite frankly you just cannot beat that). He also reassured that the Broadstone Inkwell was located in a great walkable area of downtown Long Beach. Emmanuel texted me photos of the two apartment floor plans I was considering and asked me what color scheme I wanted. After doing this, he emailed me the link to the application via email. I applied for my apartment. I was instantly approved, and he placed my apartment on hold with a deposit. The countdown to my move-in date of June 29 officially began.
I emailed and texted Emmanuel throughout the months of April-June 2024 asking him various questions that popped up from apartment measurements to move-in day planning to using the various apps related to the building to renting out the rooftop deck at the building. Anything I asked, Emmanuel answered or provided great guidance. A feat I totally appreciate.
I visited Broadstone Inkwell on May 11, 2024, and was instantly greeted by the beautiful Sasha. She gave me a tour of the building and showed me my actual apartment. This was the first time I saw the building and apartment in person, and I fell in love. I knew I had made the right choice in selecting Broadstone Inkwell.
When my move-in date arrived and I got to the building to pick up my keys, I was instantly greeted and helped by Eldon. Eldon was super sweet and very helpful. He checked in on me throughout the course of the day, a feat I truly appreciated, and gave me numerous recommendations for local places to eat and things to do in the LBC.
I cannot get over how great the team is at Broadstone Inkwell from Emmanuel to Sasha to Eldon, the maintenance supervisor and the porter (I still do not know their names, but will soon). Everyone is super helpful, genuine and kind. I commend them for setting the tone with wonderful energy for the building. I am incredibly happy living here. I feel safe and supported. I don't feel lonely. I feel as though I am living in a resort. The building has great amenities. The gyms are great! The rooftop deck is wonderful. The co-working space is wonderful. The pool is a bit small, but you don't really need a pool when you live this close to the ocean. The building is BEAUTIFUL (lots of art) and smells great! I LOVE my parking space. I work comfortably from home. I love having all these restaurants, bars, stores and other venues/things to do this close. I am still adjusting to being back in California, and living at Broadstone Inkwell has made it easy for me to do just that. All my family and friends who have visited my apartment LOVE it as well. read more
