Buyer Beware…read more.. Management & Roaches Be very careful. The units look great, but management is entirely reactive. They moved me into a roach-infested unit, and getting out was a major headache which they made me pay for. My second unit had dogs barking non-stop for months. Despite repeated requests, management did nothing until I used the courts as leverage. Their "fix" was letting me break my lease rather than addressing the noisy neighbor. The $732 Deposit Battle I had to win a Small Claims lawsuit to finally get my deposit back. Again, bad communication. I eventually had to physically go back and pick up the original 4-month-old check myself. Noise & Building Quality Noise was a dealbreaker for me. You'll hear neighbors above and below due to poor insulation, and the heating system reverberates loudly in winter. Outside, noise from the nearby gym and bars carries straight into the units. Safety & Sanitation The building exterior is unsanitary, specifically the garage, stairwells, and elevator. Accessing the garage requires using an alley that reeks of urine and is constantly occupied by homeless people, the mentally ill, and drug addicts. Bottom Line Nice-looking units, but you're on your own. Be prepared to advocate for yourself or sue if you want basic results.

At the same time, residents are frequently asked to leave positive reviews, which makes the overall rating feel misleading. The unexplained lockdown of the roof area at 10pm walks a very thin line of nazi like management for no apparent reason other than gluttony since they will rent to complete outsiders for a dollar but turn all access off to loyal residents. This is unacceptable! Safety Safety Safety - The mailboxes and garage access - (The garage is wide open access) have been compromised and has not been fixed for over two weeks because they are so busy monitoring the roof so the local transients roam freely in the lobby and parking levels checking doors for free entry while panhandling like it's nobody's business. For the price it's a ripoff with a belligerent slow response to resident request without accountability on almost everything. Then they rob actual residents of the one shining amenity which is the rooftop by denying access to it. Shame on management and ownership for treating their residents so badly. Hopefully they will regroup and do a hard reset and reopen the roof amenities to hardworking Long Beach residents.

I also want to give a big thank you to the maintenance team, especially Jared. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and professionally, and Jared has always been great whenever he has come by. He is knowledgeable, respectful, and clearly takes pride in making sure everything is taken care of properly. I've enjoyed living here so much that I actually decided to transfer to another unit within the community, which says a lot about how positive my experience has been. The team truly makes Griffis on Pine feel like a place where residents are valued. Overall, the customer service from both the leasing office and maintenance team has been outstanding, and I really appreciate everything they do to keep the community running smoothly.

His effort and professionalism were much appreciated -- thank you, Mike. Mike also said he would: - Ask the leasing office about replacing our broken dishwasher (submitted 8/4). - Reach out to the regional maintenance person regarding the black mold growing in our bathroom grout. While I'm glad some repairs were finally addressed, major concerns are still unresolved. The dishwasher remains broken, the mold issue is ongoing, and other problems like the broken gate and mailbox delays continue to impact residents. This update is an improvement, and Mike deserves recognition, but what's still needed is consistency and urgency from management. Residents shouldn't have to wait weeks or escalate issues to regional just to resolve basic health and safety fixes.

Genuinely a terrible, rotten company that will do everything they can to be petty and rude. Update: after writing a review on both google and yelp, they all of a sudden were able to return my call the same day I wrote it, smh. *Could* be coincidence, but I will also add that when I applied to this place I got the same treatment for TWO weeks and, again, got a call the same day I wrote a review on Google about that, so. Be very careful with this place, keep eye on your deposits, and take a good look at the itemized list they give you because they will make "mistakes" Very shady, unpleasant and rude experience. Moved out and was told I owe $177 and was given an itemized list only to see that they only included one of two of the $600 deposits I made (a regular and pet deposit totaling to $1200). I've contacted them FIVE TIMES for a week to ask why the second deposit was left out; text, voicemail, email, and have been ignored completely. I'm almost certain it's on purpose to try and keep the other deposit AND ask for more money because... how? How have they NOT responded for a week, from all different sources of contact, even after messaging them "this is my 4th / 5th time trying to contact you with no response," but was told my payment to them is "urgent" ? They really are trying to swipe my second deposit AND ask for more money from me. What a horrible, disgusting place. But besides being potentially scammed, and possibly needing to contact a lawyer since they won't answer any form of contact, I could not stand the older lady in the office and left after a year pretty much because of her. She's VERY rude and annoying. Before switching to automated texts to let us know if we have packages, she used to manually call everyone and would nag me, because I order a "lot" of stuff, so I refused to answer any of her calls (or else I would get nasty). Well, it even got to a point where she demanded I call her back and let her know why I was "ignoring" her calls? No, lady, lol you can leave your voicemails and talk to yourself since you want to be rude. Acting as if she's entitled to me answering the phone and letting her yap in my ear about how I order "too much stuff" (as if it's her business?). Thank god they switched to texts. People probably complained about her attitude lol. After that I just completely ignored her existence because she was so unpleasant. Hope she learns some basic customer support skills!
