I have had a wonderful experience living at Aster Apartments. The property is well maintained, and the management team truly cares about the residents. Martin and Sophie have made a tremendous difference in improving the quality of life for everyone in the community. They are professional, responsive, and always willing to help with any questions or concerns. Their dedication and commitment to providing excellent customer service are greatly appreciated! read more

Move-in was extremely unorganized and unprofessional. I was in constant communication with management for 4 weeks, yet we received no move-in instructions, payment details, or preparation beforehand. On move-in day, they seemed shocked we were even moving in. Our lease wasn't ready, and the unit hadn't been inspected, causing us to pay for additional hours with our movers. The units are beautiful, but management seriously lacks urgency, communication, and professionalism. If you're moving here, stay on top of them every step of the way. read more

I have very mixed feelings about my time at Aster. To be clear, the onsite staff is phenomenal. If I were rating based on them alone, this would be a 5-star review: * The Leasing Team: Sophia (Assistant Manager) is an absolute sweetheart -- extremely kind and helpful. Ty is also super sweet and was a joy to work with. * Security: Tony the security guard is absolutely phenomenal. He is incredibly warm, friendly, and truly makes the building feel like a community. * Maintenance: Kudos to the new maintenance team! They are super friendly, warm, and have been a great addition to the building. The downside? I simply don't trust the property management. Communication is a major issue. We had a change in management that wasn't disclosed until the last minute, meaning I never got to say goodbye to the original team that helped me for most of my stay. More alarmingly, when a tragic suicide attempt occurred next to the building, management misled residents by claiming it was a "robbery." The renewal process was the final straw. I was very close to extending my lease, but the Property Manager constantly changed rates on me and insisted there was "nothing he could do" to negotiate. Magically, the moment I submitted my 30-day notice, he offered a significantly lower price. To add insult to injury, now that I've moved out, I see my exact unit listed for significantly less than what they were offering me to stay. Between the lack of transparency, the constant loud construction, and the high price tag, it's hard to recommend this place despite the amazing staff. It's a beautiful community, but the corporate games make it feel like they don't value resident loyalty at all. I'd also be weary of the area in itself, I never felt safe walking around at night. read more

Super excited to start the new year in my new home at Aster. The office team are highly Professional and always great you with a smile. Shout out to Ty for helping me Sunday with my thermostat. It didn't matter that it wasn't "his job" he didn't think twice about taking ownership of the problem. Thank you Sophia and Martin for helping me through my move in. No matter how many times we do it, it is stressful so thank you for providing quick solutions and communication. I look forward to my next year here! read more

My experience has been great so far! The leasing office is always warm to answer questions! I had a small non urgent maintenance issue and they were able to take care of it same day! Not to mention Tony the security guard who goes out of his way to be welcoming and warm! Truly goes above and beyond! read more

Tony the security guard is AMAZING!!!! He always makes me feel so safe and cared for. Tony will take time out of his day to always ask about mine, he's the absolute sweetest! 100000/10 hire, great job Aster! read more

Amazing experience living here thanks to the incredible team. Sophia, the leasing manager, is so sweet and truly treats you like family. Tony from security is welcoming, selfless, and incredibly thoughtful. I swear he remembers everything and always makes you feel safe and at home. Humberto from maintenance is outstanding; he came the same day I submitted a request and went above and beyond to help. Grateful for such a caring and professional team. Highly recommend! read more

Update: Even though this is a non-smoking building, some residents living here do not care or respect others and the smell of marijuana will travel through the vents to your unit. My unit smells like marijuana at nights and early mornings, also the hallways sometimes smell like it too. You can hear people above you slamming things against the floor so would recommend to get a unit you don't have someone living above you. read more

Tony, our head of Security is amazing. I feel safe, yet not like I'm paying to live in a prison. He gets it. Also, the place is always clean! Shout out to the maintenance and management team! So far it's been a great experience read more

At first glance, Aster appears to be the ideal community. The finishes are modern, the amenities look beautiful during tours, and the leasing agents greet you with a warm and friendly attitude. Unfortunately, after living here for 13 months, I can confidently say that the experience does not live up to the initial impression. The building earns points for visual presentation only--everything else is disappointing. The common areas and hallways are poorly maintained. The floors often smell like urine and smoke, and trash from parties frequently piles up in the amenity spaces. Dog waste in the hallways is also a weekly occurrence, which is completely unacceptable for a property marketed as upscale living. Leasing Team: The leasing team comes across as two-faced. They are friendly and attentive during the leasing process, but once you move in, that courtesy vanishes. Promises made during the tour or application process become nonexistent. The team feels inexperienced and, at times, unwilling to address resident concerns. Parking Issues: When I moved in, guest parking was promised with reasonable limitations. Later, the management abruptly removed this privilege altogether. After pushback from residents, guest parking was reinstated but with fewer spaces, making it difficult to secure a spot. To make matters worse, registering guest vehicles through the resident portal apparently doesn't count unless you go through the assistant manager, Aja, directly. I even tried to pay for a second parking spot (there were two residents on my lease but only one spot assigned), and I was ready to pay the extra cost. Aja flat-out refused without providing any explanation, forcing us to use street parking. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Large Item Disposal Policy: Before my lease ended, the office sent out a notice instructing residents to submit work orders for large-item disposal to keep trash rooms safe and uncluttered. When I submitted a request, I received a call telling me I would need to hire a third party or pay extra for them to remove the item. Shortly afterward, management sent an email stating all large-item disposals would now require outside services. This constant backtracking on policies is exhausting and unfair to residents. Unresponsive Leasing Office: This is by far the biggest frustration. During the leasing process and move-in, the team is all ears. But as a resident, you will likely find your calls going straight to voicemail--and they will not return them. I rarely called unless it was necessary, but every time I did, I ended up having to walk to the leasing office because no one would pick up the phone. It's particularly frustrating to call moments before walking over, only to find staff available and free to talk once you're there in person. Why have a phone line if you don't use it to assist residents? Overall, Aster is a property that prioritizes appearances over substance. The amenities and finishes might look nice during a tour, but the day-to-day reality of living here is far from worth the price. If you're considering moving here, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I am a visitor at the Aster Apartments at 250 Broadway and I am very impressed with Tony, the graveyard security guard. Every time I have visited the premises, he has always greeted me with the highest level of professionalism and courtesy. As a visitor, it is comforting to know that Tony is actively monitoring the property and taking proactive measures to insure the building, personal property, tenants, and visitors are secure. Tony provides security service beyond expectation. Thank you Tony for a great job and keeping everyone safe! read more

I renewed my lease for another year and they didn't even raise rent! The amenities are still nice and maintenance fixes things quickly. I'm disappointed they don't hold as many activities in the pool area but it's probably cause the building is almost full and they don't need to advertise anymore. There has been some turnover with management and maintenance workers, but the new employees are still nice and easy to access. Shoutout to the new main security guard Tony who never sits down and stood outside by the gate for a whole week when it was stuck open! read more

I applied for a unit at this building in late August. I was approved but decided to go with a different building. (Based on my experience the last 3 months, I made a great decision.) Fast forward to almost December and I still haven't received my $500 deposit back despite numerous calls & emails. read more

I've been living in Aster for a week now and it has been an incredible experience so far. What makes the experience greater is Tony, one of our courtesy patrols. He's been a ball of light towards everyone in the community and is just one of those passionate people who cares so much of their craft and community. I wish I can give more than 5 stars but Tony deserves more than anything in the world. read more

I was in Long Beach in February to look for places to live (relocating from San Francisco) and was really nervous about what I'd find around here for some reason. The Aster was only the second building I saw but as I saw more quickly became the only option I really wanted to live in that fell within my means and the leasing agents did an incredible job getting my application through and approved before I left town. Now I've lived in the building for about two weeks and continue to love the design of the building and the unit, all the brand new appliances, some fun community events, and the managers/staff being super helpful with every question. And holy smokes THE LOCATION. I had no idea just how convenient it was when I moved here, but it's super accessible from the freeway right as you're driving down broadway. Lots of EV charging in the parking garage. But beyond that I've been able to do all my errands and lots of exploring just walking around the neighborhood, down the promenade, over ocean boulevard, and down by the water. Truly killer location. Anyways if you're looking at moving here, I think you should go for it! read more

I am delighted to share my experience with Chris, the assistant manager at this community. From the moment I stepped into the lobby I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Chris took the time to get to understand what I was looking for and answered my questions with patience and clarity. The community is breathtaking and a great place to unwind but what stood out the most was Chris. I've toured many communities but Chris went above and beyond if I do end up leasing here Chris would be the reason hands down. If you come to tour ask for Chris! read more

My boyfriend moved to this apartment complex a few months ago thinking that it was a safe place to live, but it is not. Our electric bikes got stolen from the building's bike room, they were with two locks and you needed a key to get in . We heard that some cars parked on the building had their windows smashed. It is not a good place where you want to live . read more
