I leave this review with a heavy heart. I'm a long time customer here. I have had great experiences with both Dr. Lee and Dr. Park. During the majority of my visits they've been great and I've had great hygienist. My absolute FAVORITE is Maui. She was attentive, shared a ton of information, made suggestions and was so, so thorough. She left, returned and it seems she's left again. The current hygienist was hurried, I feel she rushed through my cleaning. I don't know if she's the only one there but it felt that way. There was no cancer screening, she only used the electric tartar remover thing did not review her work with the manual tool and just asked "any questions?". I was originally very impressed with Dr. Park and his team. Everyone was kind, professional, and informative during my visit. Unfortunately, that positive experience changed a few days later when I received a very large bill because the office was actually out of network. Before my appointment, I was told over the phone that my insurance was in network and that I was "good to go." When I called afterward to explain the situation and get clarification, I was told, "we assumed your insurance was covered because we've seen people that work with your company." When I asked about next steps, I was then told, "obviously we cannot see you anymore." Such a horrible place to go for any kind of dental visits!!! Front desk doesn't know how to handle scheduling, all the time calling my husband instead of me for my appointments( as we were going there both) they sent me bill which is not even related and asking me to pay that!!! I got one time treatment which cauze the issue and I after these all I went there for crown ( which I shouldn't already with these problems I got) and 3 times they made wrong measurement and I had to go there several times, waisting my time! I had a crown fall off and looked for a Dentist to put it back on. When I went to the office. I got a lecture on how the crown had given me good service but I might want to replace it with an implant. I'm in my 70s and thought it was a an option to think about. It was a horrible mistake. While performing my procedure, the dentist was using my visit to teach another dentist the procedure and not giving me 100% of his attention. After the procedure, I experience pain and went back to see them. I found out the the tooth next to the implant had split directly in half and I had to get it removed. The dentist said it had Nothing to do with the implant next to it and it was not related. I ended up in worse shape than when I first visited and now have a missing tooth. I finally figured out they are butchers. When you come in, the have your dental plan worked out to maximize how they can take as much money from you as possible. The performed more x-rays that I had ever had and recommended things like deep cleaning and how they can get as much of my Social Security benefits as possible. I'm glad I didn't get another implant from them to replace the tooth they ruined and after a year of a missing tooth, I'm finally looking for an honest dentist to repair the problems Broadlands Complete Dental (Dr Park) caused. I kept the tooth that is split in half and will try and post the picture. Does anyone really believe one procedure didn't cause the other problem, Okay for 70 years and days after the first procedure, the next tooth splits. BUTCHERS, don't use them. What a way to get more business and money from people. Cause more problems and then charge to fix them. The business manager Lance doesn't need to contact me. I casually asked how much it was for Invisalign. They took me through an entire process before they could write me a quote rather than just answering my question. I then get charged a month later for hundreds of dollars for a "consultation." I wasn't warned that I would get charged at all nor did I ask for a consultation, just asked a question. After hearing the price, I told them I wasn't interested at the moment. Now every time I go, they try to push Invisalign on me as if it would be an essential investment. Never before I asked had it been suggested to me. They also once scheduled an appointment for me that I showed up for after their business hours. Our last four appointments have been either moved days or times with no notice, each time the office says it's a glitch in their system. This was over the span of several months and nothing was "fixed" This last time, my wife and I both got a text stating my appointment, which was originally at 1pm, was at 1:40pm. We called and they confirmed it for 1:40. Then the day of, after I left work early, another text stating it was at 1:50pm. When I got to the office it was closed, citing lunch. I was averaging 90 + minutes each time for a teeth cleaning. The appointment always starts 15-20 minutes late to take you in back. Then the xray girls takes 10 -15 minutes to show. Then another girl shows up to prep area, then another shows up to clean your teeth. Keep in mind your waiting 10-15 for each girl. Then you gotta wait another 10-20 for the dentist to review. Then they gotta meet their quotas and just apply fluoride and don't bother to ask you first which I always refuse. They are super apologetic for taking so long. And 10% of the time you will be rebooked due to a team meeting too. This place has zero respect for peoples time. read more

This place doesn't properly document your dental history. Every appointment is like starting from scratch. They overbook their appointment slots, and leave you waiting in the chair for forty minutes after they've heard your story, then relay the story thru a botched headset radio to the dentist. When he finally shows, he's even more late, and then you have to repeat your appointment needs again anyway. Time management is a lost concept here. Marked in ALL paperwork both online and in person that I'm not interested in other services. Dr. Pooya and Dr. Park are really nice and I've had great experience with their hygienists and most of their assistants. However, the last 3 appointments that family members have had were changed without our knowledge and we were bombarded with text reminders with different times. Each time we said something, we were met with apathy and an attempt to blame us. Twice, while sitting in their waiting room, I witnessed similar situations happen to other patients. We will be looking for another dental office. I understand that things happen, but I also have 16 years experience working in the dental field. Appointments changed 3 different times is an office issue. I recognize and am familiar with their dental software. Dr Park sits down and not just tells you in fast pace what is needed to be done, and you sit there and play 20 questions. He really explains what is needed to be done, and why. He explains as plainly as possible what he'll be doing, how it's done, why it's done, what he saw that told him you needed this. He goes way beyond any dentist I've ever been to. Everyone in the office is amazing and kind. Everyone is really understanding, so if there's absolutely anything wrong or you feel you should say, they'll intently listen and make sure you're taken care of. I've gotten a few root canals in my time, but Dr Park has been the best. Also, each room has a TV, and they have one of those 360 x-rays. read more

I'm the guy that has avoided to go to a dentist for almost 20 years because frankly, I don't like them. I had a bad experience as a child, became scared dentists, and never was able to get over that fear, even as an adult. However, last year, due to severe pain, I had no choice but to go, and I chose Broadlands Complete Dental. Despite my severe reservations, these guys impressed me the moment I stepped in. The team did their best to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Park really took his time to walk me through my anxiety, explained what was happening in details, and acknowledged that its not easy to be in a patient's chair at a dental office, especially given my history with dentists. I also thought that I would get pressured into buying treatment that I did not need, but that was not the case. Although they did explain my treatment options, but I didn't feel forced into doing anything that I did not want or need. Since my first visit, I have returned for a couple of routine cleanings, a root canal, and crown work, and needless to say the team at Broadlands has continued to impress me with their professionalism. I have found the office's business team to be very knowledgeable when it came to my insurance and very proficient with their timelines and follow ups, this includes reminder phone calls prior to appointments. Overall, I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a new or change in dentist. Horrible experience! Do NOT recommend. Scheduled an appointment for an annual cleaning and after 1 1/2 hours later I walked out with a $3,000 estimate on "recommended" work and no cleaning. I kept asking about the usual cleaning that is done every year (sometimes twice a year) and the only answer I got was "yes, yes, we can discuss that" BUT it'll cost almost $1000 extra for a deep cleaning. I left extremely upset. I'm sure someone will respond and tell me they can set up an appointment to discuss the situation and they can "fix it". BS!!! I have been coming here for probably a decade now but due to continued negligence from the billing department and whoever answers the phone I am on the hunt for a new dentist. I had an appointment May 3rd, and there was an issue with my insurance and I was told I'd need to call back to update my insurance information before the end of the month or they would bill me the full visit amount and would not be able to run it through insurance after the month's end. I called back the next morning (May 4th) to give my updated insurance information, and they said they would not take it over the phone and I'd have to text it to them. I texted it immediately and several hours later I followed up and asked for confirmation but -you'll notice this is a theme here- I never got a reply. I tried calling again and they did not pick up. I then tried the online chat, and was able to send my insurance information through the chat. I waited a week and checked with my insurance to see if the claim was filed. It wasn't. I called the dentist again, and again no one picked up, so I hopped on chat to ask if we were all set and they said they had not attempted to run it through insurance again. I asked if they could confirm later in the day if I was all set and they said they wouldn't be confirming if it worked but that billing would give me a call if there were questions. This morning (May 26), after waiting yet another week, I checked with insurance and still no claim. I decided to skip the phone games to save myself time and decided to chat this morning to check in AGAIN. I have already spent FIVE hours trying to get to just do their own jobs. They said they still have not run it by insurance and that billing would reach out if they had any questions. I explained that this had been told me to me twice before and that they did not reach out either time and that I wanted to confirm that I will not be getting a bill next week due to their negligence, and all they could say was "I am not certain, but we will call you." Guess what? They didn't call. Next week is the end of the month and I anticipate I'll be getting a bill since no one at the office seems to be capable of doing their job or treating customers with respect. The team here scheduled me an appointment for the very next day. Dr Pooya and his dental assistant stayed after hours on a Saturday to make sure my issue was taken care of throughly. I have had an amazing experience here. I drive all the way from Gainesville to come to this practice and see Dr. Park. I have never had any trouble with my treatment, the cost of it, or understanding the whole process. I believe Dr. Park's team strives to be as transparent as possible. The lady who told me about the cost of my treatment told me about how much my fillings would cost. However I received a bill for it later. But it's an ESTIMATE. I understood that I had to pay for the balance because my insurance dictates the coverage not the folks at Broadlands! It's a little funny how people may think that the doctor or practice charges more to get profit off of it when insurance is the one who runs the show.. I would recommend this practice to anyone! It runs like a well oiled machine, and definitely feel comfortable with them. Amazing office and staff. The office itself is very new and clean. They have the newest technology and equipments. The interior is very chic and classy as well( it doesn't feel like you are at a doctors' office). I've never been this impressed with any doctors's office, especially a dental office. They are very prompt and professional, you barely have to wait 2 minutes before you get seated to see the doctor. they also have refreshments (coffee, tea, water, etc) while you wait which is usually not even 1-2 minutes. I saw Dr. Pooya Aflatooni, I think he goes by Dr. Pooya. He was FANTASTIC. I've never used this word for a dentist before but he really is. He was beyond polite and patient. He explained everything to me and answered every single question I had( which were a lot!!) He was also the first dentist who didn't try to rip me off by an expensive treatment plan. There were a few of my teeth that he could have filled but he said let's wait and see and try some kind of fluoride toothpaste( which you need a prescription for) and see if that helps. I started going to this office in February of 2017. My last dentist went out of business and I had a few procedures that needed to be done. Dr. Pooya treated me. It was a great experience. He explained in detail the procedures that needed to be done, and I received a cleaning and complete xrays. I never felt uncomfortable or judged while in this office. The entire staff was very pleasant and professional. While Dr. Pooya was explaining the procedures that I needed (two bridges, extraction of a wisdom tooth), the front office was getting the quote ready for me. Once Dr. Pooya was finished a very pleasant lady came in and explained the cost and what my insurance would cover etc. There are no surprises with the cost of the procedures. A week later I had the bridge work done. They placed a temporary bridge in and the mold they took of my mouth was sent to the lab for the permanent bridge. Three weeks later I had the permanent bridge placed. I never had any pain. The only discomfort was the needle they give you to numb you. I expected that, and the pain only lasted a second. That's it! I feel very confident that the next procedure for the second bridge will go as well as the first. This office is a class act and they work with you and explain everything in detail. They are friendly and caring. I highly recommend them to anyone. I will be moving about 1/2 hour away in a few months but I will still travel to this office for all of my dental needs. A complete sham! I would give it zero stars if I could! Here was my experience with Broadlands Complete: I haven't had health insurance for the past 5 years and hadn't been to the dentist over this time. I received a coupon in the mail for x-rays and cleaning at Broadlands Complete for a good price and took advantage of it. (I believe the price was somewhere between $59-89.) I was expecting a few issues but after x-rays (panoramic, bitewing, full mouth-FMX and digital pictures), cleaning and a gum disease "test" (ie. jamming a "tool" into my gums around every tooth in my mouth & causing significant bleeding), I was told that I had 13 cavities, 1 wisdom tooth that needed to be pulled and fairly severe gum disease (which is manageable but not curable) requiring locally applied antibiotics for each tooth, as well as, extensive scaling & root planning. The total cost of the immediate treatment was over $5500, but if I purchased a "dental insurance" from a 3rd party they work with for $50 the total cost would be reduced to $4100 (including the $50 insurance). Oh, and before I left and without asking me first, they applied fluoride to my teeth at an additional cost of $30 on top of the coupon price. Kindly enough, the dental hygienist said she was "waiving" the picture fee (which, again, I wasn't asked if I wanted, it was just done. I assumed it was part of the coupon deal.) I left devastated and concerned, both for my dental health and the cost of the procedures. I decided to get a 2nd opinion from my old dentist, who practiced in a different state 60 miles away. I had been with my old dentist (Dr. Daryl B. Witt in Laytonsville, MD) for more than 20 years and completely trusted him. When I used to visit him regularly, I remember seeing him consistently listed as one of the Top Dentists in the area by Washingtonian Magazine. This time, I saw a bunch of plaques going back several years with the distinction of Top Dentists in the USA! I took the x-rays and pictures that Broadlands Complete provided me (albeit, not without a hassle) and had an exam done by Dr. Witt. He said I had some discoloration on the occlusal surfaces of a few teeth, but not a single cavity and no gum disease. (He jokingly said he could make my mouth bleed and treat me for gum disease and drill a bunch of holes in my teeth, which would need to be replaced in 10-20 years because the plastics they use for fillings these days don't last.) His recommended "treatment" was to keep brushing regularly and the staining would go away, and to come back for a deep scale cleaning, since it had been 5 years since I had my teeth cleaned. He even said that my wisdom tooth didn't need to come out, but I had him remove it anyway, because it really wasn't functional and was hard to clean. It took less than 5 minutes to literally pop out with two hard pushes. Total cost of the exam and tooth extraction, $210, which included an uninsured, self-pay discount provided by the dentist's office (ie, I didn't have to pay an extra $50 for "insurance".) The cost of the same tooth extraction at Broadlands Complete would have been $419 (full price) and $336 (after I bought the $50 "insurance"). I returned to Dr. Witt a few weeks later and received a deep scale cleaning for $100, plus a free tooth brush*. Sure enough, after a few months of good brushing, the staining went away. I saved a whopping $3780, minus the time & gas driving to my "old" dentist, which has naturally become my current dentist again. On top of all this, the dentist at Broadlands Complete (John S. Park, who obviously shouldn't be allowed to practice dentistry or work on Wall Street, for that matter) also told me that I would need to return 1 month after the cleaning for a Perio Evaluation Maintenance ($99) and then Perio Maintenance + Fluoride ($129) every 3 months for the rest of my life because of the significant uncurable gum disease. Oh, and oral cancer screening annually to the tune of $35. My preferred dentist (Dr. Witt) told me to come back in 6 months for a regular cleaning. * I also received a free tooth brush from Broadlands Complete, as well as, a mini tube of toothpaste and a mini roll of floss. These extra "mini items" aren't worth a lifetime of extra expenses and the needless damage to my teeth and self-esteem that Broadlands Complete would have provided me. Stay away!! read more
