Saturday hours vanished, weekday hours are difficult for anyone with a full‑time job, and the new text‑based communication feels dismissive rather than supportive. Asking about weekend availability shouldn't trigger messages suggesting they "update my records" if I'm no longer interested in being a patient. This practice has strong clinical talent, but the customer service side needs immediate attention. Other reviews on YELP in the last couple of years seem to mirror my disappointment. ALSO, they may wish to remove the snarky, outdated and frankly cringe‑y "...we cater to cowards..." wording in their brochures and on their waiting room tables. It's just unnecessary. No one enjoys going to the dentist, it's a necessary experience. Here's a few examples to consider: "For anyone who prefers kindness over stress." "Perfect for patients who like their dentistry gentle, not scary." "We take the fear out of dental care -- no judgment, just comfort."

The new dentists we saw were no longer in-network and we were charged out-of-network costs. Aetna was amazing and did a one-time exception to change those visits to in-network. We had already paid our bill in full, so when First Impressions Dental received the check from Aetna you would think they would reimburse me the amount I had already paid. Nope! Not only did they not get the refund process started (I had to call twice), they claimed we still had a balance. This so-called balance was for "hospitality and in-office write-offs". One was from 2023. Interesting how this popped up out of nowhere two years later... hmm. They cashed the insurance check and instead of paying us back what insurance says we were owed, they're taking back all hospitality and write-offs and returning SOME of the insurance check. Basically being vindictive and taking money from an insurance check to pay themselves back. I've filed an official complaint with Aetna and will update this review once the complaint process with insurance is completed.

His orthodontist recommended Dr. Ninh and team and they were only 1 of 2 dentists working on Saturday. The other was amazing and but I knew she stopped working emergency denistry on Saturdays. Dr. Ninh's care team squeezed us in so we could get on the road for vacation later that day. They called the day after to check on my son and a few months later M called me just to see how everything was going and in a brief chat, I became a new patient as well. Several years ago I had cancer and rather complicated issues with my health and teeth related to that - now in remission, many doctors didn't want to work with me. Dr. Ninh and his staff worked with me to line up what could be done and what would take more in-depth work or clearances. My (former) primary dentist would not even do a cleaning. The cleaning here was excellent and the hygienist is awesome! H and M in the front office are absolutely amazing. A, his dental surgical assistant is amazing, kind, and has a world of experience with patients and love of dentistry. They work to ensure I am comfortable, numb me thoroughly, worked to save my tooth, and restored function to my bite. Dr. Ninh is very knowledgeable and focuses to ensure a positive outcome that I am happy with. The next day H or M usually call to ensure everything is doing well and ask if I need to pass a message to Dr. Ninh and have him call. They make you feel welcome, ensure that you are comfortable, and work to make a positive experience out of the treatment process.

I barely had to use anything stronger. my brother got his out somewhere else not with general anesthesia and it was the worst pain ever so i was super scared but this experience was as smooth as one could be given the nature of the procedure in my opinion. also the front desk was fantastic and genuinely so nice and kind and patient that i pretty much picked the place based off of that (and the drs reviews of course) when i called them asking about insurance prior to me coming in for a consult.

Upon arrive the lady at the front desk asked me if I felt up to it enough to be given a tour of the office which I agreed to and loved she cared enough to ask. She showed me the sink and toothbrush and toothpaste they keep in the reception area for people to be able to freshen up prior to their appointments and then showed me around to the rest of the office going by the hygienist area, the treatment/Dr. Myles area followed by the billing and office manager area before coming back up front. I love if you do arrive early they do have a quite room with a t.v. in there especially for those of us who get anxious being at the dentist office. After a few minutes I was called back to have my 360 xrays done and my wing bites. Once those were put on the screen the dr assistant came back and did a quick exam and determined which tooth was hurting and soon after Dr. Myles came back and did a through exam and confirmed the tooth. He stated it was my wisdom tooth and it was just better to go ahead and have all of them pulled at once so I wouldn't have further problems with them down the road and be back in the same boat. He also informed me I had some other problem areas so once I went to the Oral surgeron and had those teeth pulled to come back and see him for a deep cleaning and to start the repair work on getting my teeth back in order which I knew I needed done for a long time. Overall, a great experience and I love how friendly and down to early Dr. Myles once and he was able to keep my anxiety down in an already painful situation. Even though he wasn't able to help me at that moment they were able to make sure I got into the oral surgeon they work with ASAP so that they could see how in depth my procedure would be and give me an plan of attack for getting my teeth removed safely (I have seizures). I will be back to get the rest of my work done and think for the first time in my adult life I have actually found a dentist I trust.

I was sold. I made my appointment with Dr. Myles for a cleaning. After being welcomed into the office, they sat me in a private room with a massage chair and a TV to wait and fill out my paperwork. Then, the hygienist took me for my paraffin wax treatment (woohoo!). The hygienist was super friendly and she did a wonderful job - pain free! (Yessss). Dr. Myles did an exam at the end quickly, but was knowledgeable and very kind. I had 4 cavaties (my first ones, boo), and they helped me set up my appointment quickly for the following week and when I came in to get them done, I was in and out in 30 minutes. And no pain. I was lucky enough to get Elizabeth as my hygienist, and I could not had been more pleased. She kept me informed with everything that was going to happen, had a great sense of humor, and incredible medical skills. The equipment is all new technology, and I can honestly say pain-free! I do need additional work since it's been awhile, but I'm excited to go back and continue this journey to healthier, whiter teeth. Their own staff confirmed the delay was entirely on their end, yet they still expected me to pay without question. This is not how a patient-centered practice operates. I've been fired by my new Dentist!! Wow!!....so we (my sons and I) switched dentists because our…read moreold dentist stopped taking our insurance. Picking one closest to us (Brambleton), we switched to Bloo Dental in the Brambleton Town Center. Our visit was a 6-month regular checkup/cleaning, and the first impression was very good....pleasant atmosphere, and the Dentist even came out to greet us, which was nice. After our cleanings, I asked if any money was due (I knew I'd need to pay out of pocket for flouride), and they said it would be $78, which was $38 for one of us and $40 for me.....no problem....I paid it; but once I got home and looked at the statement, the statement and the line item for flouride said $30 (for one of us...didn't get the statement for myself). I called the Dental office and asked why I was charged $38 when the statement shows $30, and they said "oh, well when something isn't covered by insurance, we default to the 'office charge' (whatever that means??!)". Then I was told that in the future I would need to have each of us call individually (since we're all over 18) to make/handle our own appointments.....I said that no other dentist has required this, and asked "what if I call in and say I'm one of my sons?".....I guess that hit a nerve??.....anyway, I just received a call this morning from the Dentist, and he basically explained the whole "office charge" thing....basically justifying charging $38 for what the statement said was a $30 charge; then he asked, "is it true you asked my receptionist about calling in and saying I'm one of my sons to make appointments?"....I responded "yes". The Dentist was actually very rude on the phone....he said I would be getting a letter shortly about the issue and promptly hung up on me. An hour later I received an email letter saying we were no longer welcome as patients!! Wow!....they over-bill me, then 'fire' me, all over what amounts to about $24 ($8 each for me and my sons).....I've been in customer service for a very long time, and this is NOT the way to treat customers/clients.
