Delicious food. A hidden gem in Jacksonville! The specials are fantastic. Their Blue Moon is the best per my husband. Steaks, fries, shrimp, wings, burgers are the best! Love it. read more

Stopped in during a bad storm yesterday for a quick bite and a couple drinks. We first tried the main entrance and were told we needed to walk around to the back patio through the storm. We get stopped again at the patio to pay the $5 cover as rain is still pelting our backs. Came in soaked, and used a few of the disposable napkins at the bar to dry off while waiting to order. An old white man that claimed to be the manager/owner berated my friend and me over the napkins. Every interaction was like walking on eggshells, down to policing the use of a few napkins. I guess the place is really down bad and needed to make a quick buck. Take my 5 bucks and use it as a downpayment on the next poor souls napkins. I will not be coming back. read more

It's been a while since I visited Brix Taphouse. It's on my weekly rotation of lunch spots with my bff but falls off during the peak summer months. We returned today to find the Monday Special was chicken Tenders and fries for $10.00. After enjoying a few drinks we dug into a basket full of 6 hand dipped fried chicken tenders and a side of parm fries. Everything was delicious and the staff so attentive! read more

The location, service and food were all very good. I loved their outdoor patio with tons of seating and a good number of fans which definitely helped. We have been in Jax for almost a year now and haven't found a good jalapeño popper until today. We were really excited about that. The wrap, garlic fries, and mahi tacos were also very good. We will definitely be back! read more

THE place to watch Jags game in Jax Beach! This is my go to place when I want to go to a place with high energy and bustling with people on game day. Lots of TVs, great service, good food. Found their truffle fries to taste very strong so I'll stick with their normal fries next time. My husband loves their ribeye deal. We'll see ya there when the Jags go to the superbowl! read more

Decided to stop by at Brix after Seeing Deck The Chairs @Jax Beach the day before Christmas. The restaurant was about a block away from the Deck The Chairs location. We decided to sit outside patio. The ambience was Christmassy as they placed Christmas songs all night. We thought at first that it was a bar, but it's kid friendly cause we brought our 5 yr old as well. The selected our own seat, the bartender lady was super friendly. She informed us ahead of time that kids menu was not on the menu but they do have kids menu - told verbally by the bartender. So we ordered these items: Mango Margaritas- tasted really good Brix Wings- tasty and quite spicy with Amarillo sauce Kids Tenders w/fries- decent size Grilled Cheese Mayport Boomers - fried shrimp- really good. Dipping sauce was great too. Wed Special- Brix Burger $7 - husband said taste just like "burger" Our bill came up to around $60ish, reasonable. They gave military discount too. Overall great experience. read more

Used to be a regular here pre-kids, but haven't been in quite some time. It was a beautiful day so a group of 4 of us went and sat outside on the patio. It was fairly busy but got a table right away. The initial service was a little slow but then a rotation of servers was coming around fairly frequently. We ordered Southwest egg rolls (one of my faves) to snack on, but they didn't quite hit the spot this time as they were over-cooked. They have a full bar so something for everyone. Had a fair amount of beer on draft but would like to see more local beers on the menu. All in all, I enjoy this place for the atmosphere the most and appreciated being able to sit on the patio with a beer in the nice weather! Side note: Parking--we were able to get a spot in their lot. You pay the parking attendant $20 and they give you a ticket for $20 off your tab. read more

Went there for just wings and a drink, idk why after I got my water while sitting at the bar it took 15+ to put my order in. There was 1 male worker who only wanted to flirt with a female customer, 3 female workers that only cared to play on their phones. The hot wings had no spice, the ranch had no flavor, the celery was probably the best part of the meal. But my drink at least was not watered down and actually had liquor in it, only reason my review is not a one star. read more

I was heading to the beach this afternoon and was able to get a parking spot near this restaurant so I decided to give it a try for lunch. In addition to their regular menu, they also have a brunch menu with plenty of breakfast items. The regular menu has several appetizers, salads, tacos, entrees and sandwiches. I opted for the chef salad and it was really good. I decided to sit outside on their patio becauae it was a beautiful day. They also have ten tvs outside so it would be a good place to watch a game. Plenty of people were drinking, so the prices must be pretty good. Service was quick and helpful from all wait staff. read more

This looks like a great place to hang out if you are local. The food is ok but not the greatest but it is a bar. Had higher hopes for this place. The service started out great but when we got our food we sat for 20 min and had to get the attention of not our server/ bartender we got what we needed. It's not like that are busy at all. It's crazy that you just sit @ the bar and are ignored. Won't make a 2nd trip back here. If you are in a regular dinner night don't come here. They don't give AF! read more

This is one my fave spots near the beach!! I been coming here for almost 10 years and the food and service is consistently good! Everytime we come here we clean our plates and it's just always a good time! They have indoor and outdoor screens and it's situated perfectly near Jax beach. I enjoy their shrimp nachos, their ribeye steak wow! The best bartenders and they make their drinks like a drink should be made! Thank you Santi!! read more

Came here on the 4th of July and Cali helped us. Great environment, great drinks, and even better service!!!!

Cali took care of us today and she is such a sweetheart! She checked on us as soon as our drinks were getting low and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very personable and easy to talk to. It was super busy and she was still able to take care of everyone. I would totally recommend going to Brix and asking for Cali! read more

We popped in on a Monday for lunch based on a souvenir shop around the corner recommendation. The food here is what I would call elevated bar food. The southwest egg rolls were perfectly cooked, crispy, fresh, tons of filling and sauce was great too. Grilled/blackened fish tacos were fantastic. Great service from Autumn. Really fast and great spot. read more

Hated it here. Walked in Monday night to watch MNF, have some drinks and food. The place was empty, and we still couldn't get service, and we were sitting right at the bar. Once the server did come over she was so unapproachable! No greeting, no here's our specials nothing. She was too busy kekeing end of bar which I can only assume was a regular. I tried to over look it and we ordered a drink. She couldn't even drop our drinks off with a smile, the ambiance was also cold and uninviting for us. Needless to say we chugged the drink and left!!! read more

Acknowledge every customer. After watching every server in the building walk past me for 13 mins, we finally got one to make eye contact and take one person in my party's order. He never acknowledged the other person and we had to flag'em down to get place a second order placed. What a disappointment. Food came out fast though! read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Same as my last visit we were blown away by the food. Menu was huge with all kinds of options. Opted for the fish sandwhich (no bread) and a huge filet came out on the plate! Nacho cheese was reported to be a little different than expected but still good. Service was stellar! Will def come back to try some other menu items! read more

First off, hats off to our server Jordan - YOU ROCK. Really a solid place for good and drink with plenty of specials during the week to make you come back hit some good EATS. Drinks are plentiful and there are happy hours and specials that alone make it worth coming down for a visit. So what are the specials? Monday - $8 for Chicken Parm Tuesday - $2 Tacos Wednesday - $5 Burger Night There are more, but that is all I remember at this exact moment. So what do I think of the food? Salad - me caveman, me think salad good (it's a salad, it was fresh and came with plenty of dressing) Burgers - surprisingly good for $5. Mine was a tad over cooked, but it was certainly hearty and good. Mozzarella Sticks - Delicious, I was surprised how good they were. Chicken Parm - really breaded well, but a tad over cooked and there was hardly any sauce on the noodles, which was super annoying. Our server was willing to bring more sauce and suggested just ordering extra sauce if we come back and they will be happy to oblige. The spot is really well decorated and would suit you well if you were on a date or out with the boys. Speaking of that, there are TV's galore showing multiple games that can be seen from every seat. read more

We were in the area and looking for a place to stop in and have a light meal and some drinks. I knew of Brix but had not been here. We sat at the outside bar and had a great experience. The bartender was great and very personable. My wife had a strawberry mule and I had a draft I-10. The mule was delicious and my beer was cold. We had the southwest egg rolls and shared the Brix Burger. The egg rolls come with 6 and they were delicious. The dipping sauce added to the flavor. We shared the burger and it was more than enough. We added provolone cheese, bacon, grilled onions and jalapeños. They are each $1 extra. They made the burger and they give you more than you need so the dollar is worth it. We upgraded our fries to garlic Parmesan. They were delicious as well and there was more than enough to share. The bacon was cooked perfectly and honestly this was one of the best burgers I have had in Jacksonville. There is both inside and outside seating and lots of televisions. Lots of people were arriving to watch the Jaguars game. It looks like a great place to watch the game! There is some on street parking which we were lucky to find. There is an adjacent lot that charges $20. However, if you eat at Brix and show your ticket they will take $20 off of your bill so it is covered. We love places to watch sports, eat good food and have cold drinks so we will definitely be back. I recommend Brix Taphouse as a great place to chill, eat, drink, and watch sports. read more

The Brix provided an excellent brunch experience; they serve unlimited Mimosas depending on the time that are really delicious, and the employees were extremely helpful in ensuring that our meal arrived on time and that our beverages were continuously swapped.
