Went there for just wings and a drink, idk why after I got my water while sitting at the bar it took 15+ to put my order in. There was 1 male worker who only wanted to flirt with a female customer, 3 female workers that only cared to play on their phones. The hot wings had no spice, the ranch had no flavor, the celery was probably the best part of the meal. It's been a while since I visited Brix Taphouse. It's on my weekly rotation of lunch spots with my bff but falls off during the peak summer months. We returned today to find the Monday Special was chicken Tenders and fries for $10.00. The location, service and food were all very good. I loved their outdoor patio with tons of seating and a good number of fans which definitely helped. We have been in Jax for almost a year now and haven't found a good jalapeño popper until today. We were really excited about that. The wrap, garlic fries, and mahi tacos were also very good. THE place to watch Jags game in Jax Beach! This is my go to place when I want to go to a place with high energy and bustling with people on game day. Lots of TVs, great service, good food. Decided to stop by at Brix after Seeing Deck The Chairs @Jax Beach the day before Christmas. The restaurant was about a block away from the Deck The Chairs location. We decided to sit outside patio. The ambience was Christmassy as they placed Christmas songs all night. We thought at first that it was a bar, but it's kid friendly cause we brought our 5 yr old as well. The selected our own seat, the bartender lady was super friendly. She informed us ahead of time that kids menu was not on the menu but they do have kids menu - told verbally by the bartender. So we ordered these items: Mango Margaritas- tasted really good Brix Wings- tasty and quite spicy with Amarillo sauce Kids Tenders w/fries- decent size Grilled Cheese Mayport Boomers - fried shrimp- really good. Dipping sauce was great too. Wed Special- Brix Burger $7 - husband said taste just like "burger" Our bill came up to around $60ish, reasonable. They gave military discount too. Used to be a regular here pre-kids, but haven't been in quite some time. It was a beautiful day so a group of 4 of us went and sat outside on the patio. It was fairly busy but got a table right away. The initial service was a little slow but then a rotation of servers was coming around fairly frequently. We ordered Southwest egg rolls (one of my faves) to snack on, but they didn't quite hit the spot this time as they were over-cooked. They have a full bar so something for everyone. Had a fair amount of beer on draft but would like to see more local beers on the menu. All in all, I enjoy this place for the atmosphere the most and appreciated being able to sit on the patio with a beer in the nice weather! Side note: Parking--we were able to get a spot in their lot. You pay the parking attendant $20 and they give you a ticket for $20 off your tab. read more

I was heading to the beach this afternoon and was able to get a parking spot near this restaurant so I decided to give it a try for lunch. In addition to their regular menu, they also have a brunch menu with plenty of breakfast items. The regular menu has several appetizers, salads, tacos, entrees and sandwiches. I opted for the chef salad and it was really good. I decided to sit outside on their patio becauae it was a beautiful day. They also have ten tvs outside so it would be a good place to watch a game. Plenty of people were drinking, so the prices must be pretty good. Service was quick and helpful from all wait staff. read more

The service started out great but when we got our food we sat for 20 min and had to get the attention of not our server/ bartender we got what we needed. It's not like that are busy at all. This is one my fave spots near the beach!! I been coming here for almost 10 years and the food and service is consistently good! Everytime we come here we clean our plates and it's just always a good time! They have indoor and outdoor screens and it's situated perfectly near Jax beach. I tried to over look it and we ordered a drink. She couldn't even drop our drinks off with a smile, the ambiance was also cold and uninviting for us. We were in the area and looking for a place to stop in and have a light meal and some drinks. I knew of Brix but had not been here. We sat at the outside bar and had a great experience. The bartender was great and very personable. My wife had a strawberry mule and I had a draft I-10. The mule was delicious and my beer was cold. We had the southwest egg rolls and shared the Brix Burger. The egg rolls come with 6 and they were delicious. The dipping sauce added to the flavor. We shared the burger and it was more than enough. We added provolone cheese, bacon, grilled onions and jalapeños. They are each $1 extra. They made the burger and they give you more than you need so the dollar is worth it. We upgraded our fries to garlic Parmesan. They were delicious as well and there was more than enough to share. The bacon was cooked perfectly and honestly this was one of the best burgers I have had in Jacksonville. There is both inside and outside seating and lots of televisions. Lots of people were arriving to watch the Jaguars game. It looks like a great place to watch the game! There is some on street parking which we were lucky to find. There is an adjacent lot that charges $20. However, if you eat at Brix and show your ticket they will take $20 off of your bill so it is covered. We love places to watch sports, eat good food and have cold drinks so we will definitely be back. I recommend Brix Taphouse as a great place to chill, eat, drink, and watch sports. read more

Drinks are plentiful and there are happy hours and specials that alone make it worth coming down for a visit. So what are the specials? Monday - $8 for Chicken Parm Tuesday - $2 Tacos Wednesday - $5 Burger Night There are more, but that is all I remember at this exact moment. So what do I think of the food? Salad - me caveman, me think salad good (it's a salad, it was fresh and came with plenty of dressing) Burgers - surprisingly good for $5. Mine was a tad over cooked, but it was certainly hearty and good. Mozzarella Sticks - Delicious, I was surprised how good they were. Chicken Parm - really breaded well, but a tad over cooked and there was hardly any sauce on the noodles, which was super annoying. Our server was willing to bring more sauce and suggested just ordering extra sauce if we come back and they will be happy to oblige. In town on business and Brix is always on my go to places. The service is great and food is delicious. The bar is unique because they rotate bartemders from behind the bar to the dining area. I ordered the special chicken fingers (6) blackened and mac n cheese. Chicken fingers were cooked to perfection and mac n cheese was good, not as good as my homemade mac n cheese, but still way above the rest.
