Ashley provided an excellent service. Pay raise or im hiring her. Big rock for my drink made me smile. Thank you

This place is a MUST! Drinks are so delicious/ and give you a great buzz. I had the Drunken Islands. The bartender herself came to me and talked to me about the variety of drinks and she recommended this BOMB ASS drink. The alcohol was there the flavors were there. It's a must try. Come see and support your local bar. See Hailey, best bartender! read more

Brix & Craft - Drunken Islands $15 - Wine Bars Near Me - Martinez, California

Again, I don't often find myself in Martinez, but we met a friend out here and decided to make a night of it. We started here, and the place is TIGHT! Not the old school, this place is tight, as in hella cool, yo! But tight as in, its one long hallway with a table in the front and a bar along the back with tables for 2 beside it. But, it made it feel really busy, in a good way. The people we bumped into were pretty friendly. I had a glass of wine, and ordered a few appetizers off the menu. Unfortunately, it was a no-meat Friday, so we did not get to sample the charcuterie. But, we'll be back! The wine I had was really good, but I love dessert wine and had the only one on the menu. My husband had a coffee beer, which was better than I was expecting. We split the pan con tomat, mac n cheese, and potatoes. Could have done without the tomato, but the potato wedges and mac were good. Also, they were playing some great music! Hip hop and wine go together. read more

A chic and trendy addition to Downtown Martinez. I love the exposed brick wall and local photography art on the walls. My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday evening to enjoy a glass of wine with an appetizer of charcuterie. We sat up at the bar, which is rather large and were instantly greeted by the bartender. I had a glass of red and my boyfriend had a glass of white. Wines by the glass ranged from $9-$14, and we both enjoyed our picks. To create the charcuterie board you order each cheese and meat individually. It was also served with some grilled onions, jam, and crostini's. They did provide you with a decent amount of cheese and meat, however I wish we could have opted to have a bit less to get more varieties. We had plans to grab dinner elsewhere, however will definitely be back to try out the flatbreads. We watched a few pass by our table, that smelled and looked incredible. read more

We had an adult scavenger hunt downtown a few months ago. The owner Corey, and his polite staff were very accommodating to all of us when we included his establishment as part of our scavenger hunt. We had 3 groups of 30 people come in throughout that day, and were all treated well. The service is excellent, and they have a great selection of top shelf alcohol. 5 stars!!! read more

It is not easy to run a small business in California. I applaud Corey for making it work in this small town. He has also evolved his business to include high-quality food and live entertainment on occasion. This is a great place to stop by if you want no nonsense service, and great food. And thank you, Corey for continuing to keep your business open for others to enjoy, even when the present business climate is hostile to us small business owners. read more

Service was slow, food was okay and it was extremely stuffy in there for a Martinez summer day. I preferred it before this place changed bar names. read more

Great food, service and atmosphere. Love going here to just kick up you're feet and have delicious food and drinks.

Corey was soo nice and the burger was best ever. We love this place and the craft beer was awesome. Love Hazy IPA was really good. I was so happy to see Bar Cava was still open, and perfectly arrange for outdoor seating. My friend and I stopped by for a quick glass of wine and a bite to eat. We ordered the delicious burger and A bottle of TAMARIX (by recommendation). I put Tamarix in all caps because it was that delicious! As usual, the food was fantastic, the wine was amazing, and the service was beyond excellent. Bar Cava is a true neighborhood treasure. read more

Brix & Craft - bottles of wine on a bar - Wine Bars Near Me - Martinez, California

Been here twice now for drinks & both visits have been great! The venue has a quiet, cozy vibe. With exposed brick walls & rustic decor, it's almost like a wine cave you might see in Napa, which is a plus for making a mini date feel more intimate. You'll definitely forget that you're actually still on Main Street Martinez, hah. They have a good selection of beverages & bites. The bartenders & servers are professional & personable. Seems they've mastered the art of being attentive without being bothersome or interruptive, which is another plus that makes this a nice place for convos-over-drinks. Keeping this one on the radar. read more

My friend and I went last night and it was busy, no seat at all. I said let's go to Troy's and out of the corner came a guy and said , 'here let me make room for you two here'. It was against the wall and was a cozy spot. That is top notch customer service! Food was very very good and excellent drinks. Will definitely be going back. We were taken care of very well there. read more

Tonight was our first time here and it was so good we felt compelled to review. List of amazing things about this place: - vegetarian / vegan friendly. - vegan meatballs were to die for. - a drink menu made for lovers. - they do have a very chocolate cake. If you're like me, this is very important. List of less than amazing things: - - - THERE IS NOTHING LESS THAN AMAZING! Thank you for the great night. We'll see you again soon. read more

Came here for the wine - stayed for the burger!! Bar Cava is very welcoming. We snagged a table (open seating?) behind the bar and within a minute the bartender Steven made eye contact to acknowledge us and to let us know he'd be taking our orders. Still developing my palate but I can tell you that their Annabella Cab was a good recommendation. Bar Cava's food will definitely have me coming back here! Their burger was amazing! I was at a restaurant the day before that specializes in burgers and Bar Cava's was hands down better. Try it out and tell me I'm wrong! read more

I enjoyed the drinks. Killer DJ too. My friends and I had a blast. Small but fun bar. You will enjoy it.

Been here a few times now and the pizza is fantastic. Their beer cheese sauce is so good you could put it on a flip flop. Corey the owner is very cool and Hailey the bartender could liven up the most boring of places! Another great place is downtown Martinez. read more

Crazy that it has taken me this long to check out this gem. Came with my girlfriend on Saturday night. We did the Cory birthday flight special with food pairing. Nice pour and the food pairing did well with my platelet..minus the oyster one (was not a fan of that...needed more lemon or Tabasco for me.) Service was on par --even the birthday boy was working the tables that night. Intimate bar with good energy-- which generates good crowd. Would like to come back to check it out on a non birthday night to see how the vibe would be. read more

Service was amazing, didn't get her name but she was super down to Earth and personable. They're pretty generous with their serving size. My friend and I got a small charcuterie combo we could not finish. Love its local vibe. read more

This place is great if you are looking for a bar. My gent, friends and I were looking for a wine and dinner experience and were a bit mislead by the website. The wine selection was pretty mediocre, pours were small, and despite the fact that we were the only table of diners at the time, service was pretty unpredictable. The pretzel was my favorite thing there (aside from my companions ) read more

Wife and I had a good time here on date night. Really small space that is intimate. The cava was great but the flatbread pizza was the best part. They get their bread from 54 mint in Walnut Creek and it's excellent. I hope that more and more restaurants move to downtown Martinez because it really is a cool place. read more

Friendly staff, awesome atmosphere, and really great drinks! I'm making this a regular spot for me whenever I'm in Martinez.

My sisters showed me how much they love me by throwing me a surprise birthday get together at Cava Bar. This was my visit to Cava and when you walk in your first view is the beautiful bar with a vast selection of wines. They also offer beers on tap for those non-wine lovers. I appreciated the staff, they were attentive and always made sure we had a fresh drink. This is a great place to be with a group of friends because you know you'll get outstanding service and have a good time. Thank you all at Cava for the great memories!! read more
