Cozy atmosphere, great wine, and hands down some of the best pizza in the East Bay. While they don't have a vegan pizza on the menu, they'll make one if you bring your own cheese--which is absolutely worth the grocery store stop and a few extra bucks. Corey is always welcoming and accommodating, even keeping a specific wine in stock because he knows my husband and I love it. Thoughtful touches like that (plus amazing pizza and wine) keep us coming back. A definite favorite! read more

This establishment from food, to craft cocktails, to service, music selection & ambiance has been nothing but outstanding! The selection of food & craft cocktails is amazing. The drink I got is Luna Amore & it literally stole my heart. You can tell the mixologists really have perfected the taste of every drink. Now the service, also very exceptional! Brayden is who took care of us, & he was so attentive & answered all of our questions. (Good service isn't easy to come by these days so HUGE kudos to him.) Will definitely be coming back for the service & drinks. read more

I took my staff to Brix & Craft for a drink after work, we had an experience. The cocktails were crafted, offering a great variety of different kind of drinks. One of my employees mentioned the wine selection was impressive, while another noticed the huge deletions of liquors behind the bar! Corey is the owner and caters to a variety of preferences. As for the artisan pizzas, they were a perfect complement to our drinks, with fresh ingredients and a crispy crust that left us craving for more. This place is inviting, making it a great spot for unwinding. Overall, Brix & Craft exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for delicious cocktails, wine, and pizza in a relaxed atmosphere. We loved it ! Definitely will be back ! read more

Amazing pizza and even better cocktails! I have been twice now and have had amazing service with no wait!

Amazing service, delicious drinks! I love every new drink they come out with. The food is sooo good. Love Brix & Craft!!

Was walking around killing time for another breakfast place during the farmers market when we walked by this place. Decided that mimosas would be a good idea while waiting. They also had food from another place I forgot what it was called but they had an avocado toast with candied bacon which was bomb! I'm not sure if the same food will be there every weekend. The mimosas were $5 which I think is a fair price. Our server was super friendly as well. read more

Located in Downtown Martinez, came here on a Tuesday night and they have karaoke! We walked in close to closing right before 9pm and it was pretty packed but we're able to steal some bar seats to grab a drink and a charcuterie board. The cocktails were really good and fairly priced, wide variety of choices of drinks too, friendly staff and lots of energy. Would recommend if you're there for a drink but come earlier if you want food because they do a hard stop/close at 9pm on a weeknight. The karaoke scene was a little more like Jimmy Buffet, looks like they have their regulars. Smaller type of bar area, bathrooms are in the back and they have some outdoor seating right out front. read more

This is a much needed update: I was attending the Downtown Martinez Car Show tonight and ended up at Bar Cava. They had a mobile restaurant called Burger Metal grilling up awesome burgers out side where you could eat, drink and enjoy all the classic cars. Inside you can sit at the bar and get more food, a great selection of wines and now even cocktails!!! The bartenders are super friendly which just adds to the great vibe in this place. Think about it, great food, drinks and service with outdoor seating right on Main Street. What a gem. Downtown Martinez is really beginning to pop and Bar Cava is one of the reasons why. Come down and check it out. read more

I visited with (not my girlfriend) on 7/4/25. The ambiance was quiet enough for bar conversation. The whisky(ey) selections were impressive with some hard to find bourbons. The menu was generous and food was delivered in less than 15 minutes. The televisions were streaming a salt water fish tank and coastlines. The (2) bartenders on shift that day were friendly and comical. read more

Came here to support friends who regularly plays at Bar Cava. I'm finally happy to have been able to make it and invited some friends. Cory the owner was very helpful and was able to set up tables for us because our group grew. Staff: Our server was friendly and seemed to love her job. There was another guy who helped us w our tables and chairs along w Cory. Food: The spicy chicken sandwich was very good. It's just the right amount of spices (although) I would have added a little more). My friend said her flat bread was also really good. It must have been cuz she finished it all by herself Drinks: I forgot what he name of our drinks (something beach). Con: Mr. Smith drink was not good which was funny cuz a friend just got divorced , hence , we were also celebrating (it was her ex's last name) All in all, we would definitely come back and checkout what other entertainments Bar Cava provides. Parking: street parking. Just be patient there's plenty for everyone. ENJOY! read more

Decided to meet friends here on a Friday night and I must say the vibe in this area is great. The only problem is that the night we visited they were short staffed, I think, because it took over 30 min to get our first drink. I guess that was good for my wallet. Lol. I only had time to order and drink one glass. I will say that when we were acknowledged everyone was extremely friendly which made us feel like maybe it was an off night for them. I like the outdoor seating and like I said, the vibes were great. They had live music outside and parking nearby was really easy. Overall, the experience wasn't that great and you definitely have to be patient. I think we'll try another restaurant in the area next time. read more

They have great bartenders and great service and one of the best espresso martinis I've had.

To start this was not my first time at Bar Cava. Every SINGLE time I go I am more and more impressed. From the attentive and friendly staff (and owner who personally came over to talk with us) to the craft cocktails (definitely try the house whiskey made by Mr. Katz) and the amazing food, this time hubby and I had the Small Charcuterie Board and three days later we are still snacking on it! We cannot wait to go back. If you are in Martinez make this a stop - you will thank me. read more

I had such a great experience at this location. I had the bartender I wish I got her name was super amazing. She was very accommodating and any questions we had. She had an answer. So it's Sunday, Mother's Day, walking about downtown Martinez & opted to try out this little place, Bar Cava. The bartender passed us menus, yet never really got back to us, in the meantime he breaks a glass & then for whatever reason announces he won't be cleaning it up, nor the one he broke earlier in the day - okay? Still waiting to be asked what we like to eat & after another couple walks in, he tells them - oh the kitchen in closed, dude you could have told us when we sat down & you handed us menus, what gives? Ambiance - none on Sunny, whoever is the owner should know your bartender was hungover - as he had informed other patrons as to being in Vegas & getting trashed, does mean you come to work & trash it was well. So as of this writing, don't think we'll be going back. read more

This was the PERFECT spot for our date night!! For starters, awesome ambiance... it's got that cozy hole-in-the-wall hidden gem appeal. The bartender, David, was contagiously passionate about his craft, had great recommendations for food items we were debating between, and just had an overall great attitude like he was stoked to be there to serve us all. He was efficient and paid just enough attention to us to make his availability known without interrupting our make-out sessions HA! We will be coming back for sure when they solidify a karaoke schedule, and if it's busier next time, I can tell you it's worth the wait! read more

Wait, where was this place when I worked in Martinez? Apparently they opened December 2016 about a year and a half ago. Pretty cool inside, plenty of bar seating with stools paired up- they also have community tables and side tables . Love the brick accents Martinez is moving up- they have a beautiful Greek restaurant, 2 new breweries, artisan coffee, new high end salon, and some gourmet tacos at taco daddies, The Randomness when I entered: Mood as I entered: party/ friendly Music: Tupac then "return of the Mac" and then ... "La Bamba" ?? Lol Attendants: warm and welcoming So this place is a more casual, lively wine bar w/o the stuck up pretense of other places (I shall not name) almost gave me the feeling of a pub But like with wine and charcuterie boards. It was cool until people got too loud/annoying and they kept changing the music like ever 1.6 minutes - just let songs play and pick a genre ! I frequent wine bars to relax not party :-) - Price: average: $15 a glass - Menu: average: was looking for the deviled eggs but I guess they removed it - Location: downtown/ average parking Overall: I like this adulting option. cool place for happy hour (without hour happy hour price lol) chill, maybe wind down and relax after work or with friends read more

Very impressive stock of spirits and craft beer, knowledgeable and super friendly waitstaff, very good pizza (had the PO).

My best friend is a newer Martinez resident and we've come here multiple times. I live in Pittsburg/Concord. It is worth coming to Martinez to come to this craft bar. The vibe alone is amazing! There is always great music & good times. You're treated like a regular and never ignored. Anyone who writes a bad review has a personal vendetta against someone here. read more

This is such an awesome spot in downtown Martinez! Headed out to Bar Cava last night , never been so I didn't know what to expect. I didn't check closing time so we arrived hungry 30 minutes before closing. We asked if it was too late to order 15 min before closing and we were pleasantly surprised with sure pick something. So we ordered pizza! Wow first I'm pretty particular about my pizza but this crust was so fresh and the texture and taste was spot on. So thanks Bar Cava ... Nice way to treat a hungry customer ! Well be back! read more

Oh my goodness. We have been coming here for a long time but this is the first time we have had the Artisan Pizza and it did not disappoint. I couldn't stop eating it! Outstanding! On top of this amazing pizza we got delicious drinks too and got to sample and see some of their new original cocktails.
