It's to the point where I can go in and she'll know what my hair needs. I can trust her to try out different styles on me. While I always stay within the realm of a contemporary men's cut, I enjoy getting something longer, or shorter, or preppier. Joanna riffs off of what I usually get, which is a fun way to keep hair interesting and seasonal. I love how she styles my girlfriend's hair as well. A similar look to Olivia Munn's hairstyle on Newsroom- it's always a nicely tailored, layered look for her shoulder length style, which she blow-dries to add volume and bounce. Joanna was my hair and makeup stylist on an editorial fashion shoot (I'm a photographer). She brought her equipment, showed up on time, and did three separate looks for our model that whole day. Beri does an amazing job making you feel comfortable, is gentle on you hair, and great about checking in to make sure you are doing ok. The salon is clean and well maintained and I feel very safe coming in for an appointment, even during COVID, and all measures are taken to keep a clean and sanitize space. Beri is very knowledgeable on hair extensions and will fit your with the best style for your hair type. So she went to to the hair extension shop Ashley recommended and got the extensions (about $400), we had no problems with this because it is for her whole head, not just a few streaks, also the quality of the extensions was supposedly better. However it's the way she attached them that is a cheap and slacking way of doing it. Because my gf needed expensions for the whole hair the procedure would be more complex, with the long width extension ur suppose to split open the fake hair and insert ur own hair in and glue them together, that way they STAY, but what Ashley basically did was just staple the fake hair onto the real hair, so there were actually spaces and gaps in between the hair, each time she brushes the extensions would start falling out little by little Within 2 weeks my gfs extensions start coming loose and falling out of her hair. Ashley is a nice person, and I believe she spent about 4-5 hours that night for the job, And I'm not judging the way she works kus I'm not an expert on girly extensions, but when u just blew 700 for a hairdo that does not last, well that leaves a sour taste to ur mouth I'm sure Ashley does a great job doing the simple extensions, but if u need to do ur whole hair, u probably need to look elsewhere. I was amazed at the one negative review! Ashley explains in detail how to care for your extensions and does maintaince. Obviously if you use a regular brush, or just brush your hair like normal you'll rip out extensions! If you yank on them non stop.. They will come out. I'm super active, style my hair in crazy styles all the time and still have had no problems with my hair. She is more professional and skilled at the trade than anyone I have met. Even when I get my hair done for a special occasion, other hair stylists are impressed at the quality of my extensions. Maintaining my extensions is as easy as having my own hair. I have been doing micro links and have had people compliment my hair at least 3 times a week, In all of the people who have asked and complimented my hair , the only and best compliment is "omg your hair is so beautiful how did you grow it out like that" not once has someone asked if they were extensions...even with bright colors in my hair! The hair style did not need gel. 2. Customer brought in all her things for her hair ( wide tooth comb and Argon oil). Hair stylist should ALWAYS asked and show the customer before applying anything to their hair. 3. For wavy curly pattetn stylist combed hair with RATTOOTH COMB (that a no no, duh). Now hair is freyed, brittle and snapping off. She will eventually have to cut it all off again because you CAN'T fixed DAMAGED hair. Either cut it all off or cut a little at a time until its all gone. 4. She said, "you people should change your attitude and be believers, you came here to cause trouble and get money." Really... who does that to a customer, no professionalism or customer service skills. So, this proves she and many Africans buy into the negative sterotype of Black Americans.
