This place does British pub fare well, in a large and comfortable space featuring a substantial indoor area downstairs and a very cool upstairs patio surrounding a lawn bowling green. I came here for a work event, so was able to sample a few appetizers along with my main. Everything was good, with the highlight being my Cornish pasty - not the kind of thing I want to eat on the regular, but a fun dish to have on occasion. Given that the food here isn't generally healthy (I mean, it's British pub fare), I was happy to be able to sub a generous portion of nicely steamed broccoli for my fries - especially since poutine had been one of our appetizers. The beer menu, which appears to rotate somewhat, had a few decent options, and the one I ordered was well tapped and served at a good temp.

I came by in a group of five on a Saturday afternoon. The indoor space was pretty crowded but the outdoor area was empty. We walked to the outdoor area and got to choose our own seats. It did start raining when we sat down but they had large umbrellas that we were allowed to use. Service was good and our server was nice. Food also came out in a reasonable time. I ordered the burger which was cooked well and had a tasty coleslaw on the side. I also tried some of my friend's Bangers and Mash. The mash, bangers and gravy were delicious and a great item. The only thing that was a bit lacking though were the peas which were not cooked fully and still a bit hard, they were also pretty bland. All in all, a nice option in the city with some good pub fare.

This is a nice British Pub in downtown Minneapolis. Conveniently located to the Hyatt, Sheraton and Doubletree hotels. Good food, cozy atmosphere and good service. We were in town for a conference and came in hoping they might be carrying the OSU-Grambling football game. They very graciously offered to put it on a tv in a small side room with four sofas in it. We were very appreciative of their hospitality. And the "chips" and cheese were excellent. Great way for a couple of Buckeyes to spend the afternoon.

Brit's pub is a super fun British pub in downtown Minneapolis with a huge indoor and outdoor space including a beautiful patio on the roof. The whole place is usually filled with soccer fans and most weekends or big games you can find the place packed with fans in jerseys rooting on their favorite teams. Trying to get a table during a major game can be difficult so get early if that's what you're there for. The staff are all so nice and very attentive which is really refreshing as pubs tend to lack in this aspect. On top of all of this, their foods actually really good and they have a wide selection of drinks on tap. My go to is the chips and curry which are so delicious and while watching a soccer game, really makes you feel like you're in London. The screens are all massive and the whole place is filled with them which makes watching the game easy even if you're too late to grab a food table. Highly recommend all soccer fans check this out!

Looking for a quick bite with a pint after a long work day and hello Brits. Plenty of seating both up and downstairs. Unfortunately it was way too cold to eat up at the outdoor deck. Everyone said to try the Shepards pie and I am sure glad I did. It's a lamb and beef combo with a gravy like texture that was killer. Those mashed potatoes on top were just right. All in all, definitely a spot to bring a group and watch a game or just hangout!

Brit's Pub saved the day when other restaurants were unable to accommodate our group. We visited here multiple times during our short stay times just because service was superb, the food was good and came out quickly, and everything was priced really affordable. I loved that the menu items took me back to London! PS: You've got to try the desserts!

When you have a British bestie, she makes you stop for some amazing Brit food! We stopped after a Twins game so it was pretty full but we got a seat right away. Please pay attention when I tell you to order the Spinach and Artichoke Dip! We could NOT stop raving about how it was the best we've ever had. The flags out front are hard to miss! Awesome experience. We would absolutely go back again

Love Brit's Pub !! This was our second time coming here and we had a great time! Super fun vibes with happy people, British pub decor and lots of TVs with soccer and other sports. The food is great! We had fish and chips, chips and curry, cheeseburgers and veggie Tikka masala Servers are friendly and share tips and recommendations. Drinks are good too! Definitely recommend coming here if you are in downtown Minneapolis or the area. I'll Be back for sure

I love Brit's Pub, especially when I get to sit outside! It's a quick walk from my place so my friend and I stopped by for dinner and sat outside since the weather was so nice. We both got fish and chips, delicious, and then I tried the mars bar cheesecake which was fantastic!

I didn't know about Brit's Pub before going but this place was great! It has a ton of indoor and outdoor seating and outside there was a green to play lawn bowling (seems very similar to bocce ball). Seems like a great place too to watch games as they have a big screen set up outside. For food they have a variety of english entrees, sandwiches, and burgers. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered!

Busy place, food was okay but of course don't expect any authentic fish and chips or Yorkshire pie. An Americana version of a pub.

This place does get busy so definitely keep that in mind. Luckily I made reservations ahead of time so we had a table waiting for us, otherwise we would have been put on a waiting list since it's a small space. They put us in a corner booth which was nice and spacious enough for 4 people so I'd definitely recommend asking for a booth verse a table if you're planning to come with a larger group. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I appreciated their attentiveness and sharing what they like best, especially for what's in season based on the time of year. The menu has quite a bit of variety too which is sometimes unexpected when you come to a pub-style location. For appetizers we got Onion Ring and Fried Pickles. They were both really good and served with dipping sauces. Definitely both shareable items so if you're in a group they'd be great options! My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! I'd definitely recommend the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon to anyone interested in visiting here. #eatwildsavewild The only negatives (which are more so just knowledge bombs for you): * Restaurant is VERY loud. It's hard to hear because it is one small room that everyone plus the bar is in. I wished I would have took a picture to show what I mean. Just know that if it's an intimate setting you're looking for this is not the place. So be prepared to talk loudly over the loudness and ask "excuse me?" or "repeat that" many times throughout your visit because you're not going to hear everything. * Timed eating. Because this place is a hit with limited seating, once you get a table and complete your meal/payment you'll kindly be asked to leave so that they can clean up and open the table to next in line. Totally get that and am not put off by this at all, but I could see how it could catch some folks off guard especially if you are out for a meal with folks you may not see frequently-- so just keep that in mind. This is not the place to sit and talk post meal. * Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk a few blocks as the road parking in front of the business is pretty limited especially with the other stores and restaurants in the area. Regardless of those few bullets I highly recommend folks visit George & The Dragon. It's a really cool spot and the food was great! Plus theirs a malt shop right next door that looks yummy too, so definitely worth visiting and getting malts after for dessert.

You also had the choice of a bloody or screwdriver for $3 with breakfast. I had the bloody and the found out that there is a Build Your Own station so I was able to pick what went in it and make it myself which was great! The eggs were pretty bland, but everything came out super fast. The bacon was perfect and the cheesy potatoes were the bomb. We had a fantastic Saturday lunch here!…read more First of all, the parking: parallel parking must be done on the surrounding streets. We lucked out to find a parking spot very close, and the restaurant wasn't even busy when we were there. I can only imagine parking is quite a challenge at busier times of day. We had a cozy booth. I had a view of the streetside windows and the dining room. Music was at a pleasant low volume in the background--we had no trouble talking and listening to each other. Our server, Lali, took good care of us. We were never left wanting and empty dishes were cleared promptly. Everything came out at an ideal pace, too. My husband had a beer from on tap. I was very happy that they had a couple kinds of cider, so I had one from Minneapolis Cider. We ordered poutine as our appetizer. It was fantastic, and a massive serving! My husband had the brisket philly for his entree; brisket is one of those meat cuts that is tricky to get right, as it easily gets too dry, but the cook absolutely perfected it. I had the smoked trout and greens bowl, which was no only delicious, but was also a feast for the eyes. I have never had trout prepared like this before, only salmon, and this dish was quite special. Just a wonderful place. I can see why it is so highly reviewed.

We tried the poutine and a barbecue platter to share. Both were good and I loved the juicy BBQ chicken, but the poutine was notable because there was tons of beef as well as the gravy, cheese curds and all on top of really good fries. Our food came out super fast and hot, and my glass of House Cabernet for eight dollars was a generous poor and a nice wine. There's plenty of street parking in the blocks around this area, and there is a cute bookstore as well as a sustainable goods shop that you should definitely check out across the street. I would love to come back here again!
