    The dining room, not cozy
    Dona F.

We tried British Bites in Puyallup and it's been a while, so we decided to try it again on our visit to Centralia today. First, the pasties were delicious ! They come with a salad and it was good, too. They were out of several items on the menu. The entrance to the restaurant is NOT accessible - it has 2 steps. Kind of rules out little old ladies who like high tea, if they have mobility issues. The decor - they're trying. The dining room has tall ceilings and sound reverberates. It would be helped greatly if they'd put nice lace curtains on the bare windows. There are posters of Britain on the walls - they are ok but not cozy. When you go for tea you want cozy. Linen tablecloths adorned the tables. The Dr Who bathroom is still pretty cool. Bridgerton-type music played in background - very nice. Everyone liked their food, so yes, give it a try.

Lovely spot! We enjoyed a delicious meal and a cuppa on the way to Portland. Get there early before they sell out of pies for the day :)

Do we need reservations for afternoon tea?

I would call them. I made reservations for a party of 3 so that they would know and have food ready when we showed up. We were the only customers for the two hours we were there but people filed in later. I imagine during the holidays it gets busy,… Read more

To my surprise, the place was packed with customers on a Sunday afternoon. I expected a slower pace, but it was anything but. The atmosphere was lively, with people playing pool and enjoying themselves. One of the unique features of this pub is a table game that many of you may not be familiar with. It's called Table Shuffleboard, and it's one of my favorites. I've played it a few times in Alaska, and it's a great game. To play, you simply request the pucks from the servers, and it's a lot of fun. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area. We ordered a couple of beers, which were fairly decent. I had the Irish Death, and my friend opted for some of the commercialized beers like Blue Moon. They also ordered some wings, which they said were very good. They recommended that if you want extra crispy wings, you should have them fried hard. The sweet potato fries were cold, but the bartender was quick to take care of that. She brought us a fresh batch in a matter of minutes. The customer service was excellent throughout our visit. I'm giving this pub a three out of five stars. I'd like to come back and try some of the food, especially in the game day environment. I'm a vegetarian, so I didn't eat much of the food we had, but I'll definitely come back and try it again. I'll also come at night to see how it is before I consider upgrading the rating. Overall, I'll be returning to this pub for a second experience.

She returned several times asking for refills and if we needed anything. She is definitely a gem to this business. We appreciated her professionalism and sense of humor. The food stays solid, the vibe is always right, and it just feels like one of those places you can pull up to and know you're gonna have a good time. It's not trying to be anything it's not, and that's what makes it dope. Whether you're grabbing food, having a drink, or just kicking it for a bit, it always delivers. Real talk, places like this don't stick around that long unless they're doing something right. Already looking forward to the next time I'm back.

The food is my favorite part. I can have a beer anywhere, but the food is actually pretty on point minus the nachos, sad to say. Always overcooked, cheese is hardened and well beyond melted, but a massive portion in size. The sandwiches are amazing, the quesadillas are amazing, have yet to make it there before breakfast ends but I'm betting it's probably pretty good. Staff are friendly, efficient, and do well on checking to make sure you're not waiting too long for service without being too bothersome. It gets a little loud, busy and crowded on nights especially on the weekends, but that's typical bar atmosphere. Patio seating is nice on sunny days like today. 5/5 for a hometown spot in the neighborhood.

This was the first time I have ordered nachos and didn't think "I could have made this better at home." I had to compliment the chef in person and she told me that the pico de gallo is homemade and it absolutely showed. If I heard her correctly, the chef told me her name is Orecia (I'm SO sorry if that's spelled incorrectly or I completely got your name wrong) and all I have to say is this; Chef Orecia, keep making such incredible food and I hope this establishment knows how LUCKY they are to have you! The security here was completely out of synch. Once the crowd started surfing, there was nobody up front to keep it safe, and people were getting seriously injured and dropped since we couldn't catch them to help them down. Worse, at one point one of the bouncers stood in the middle of the pit and assaulted one of us during the headliner for no reason, leaving nail marks and bruises. The owner did try to make things right but frankly, the fact that it got to that point is on them. Go if you have to, but if a band is playing elsewhere nearby, I'd recommend going there instead.
