We had the pleasure of working with Brian Williams from Shasta Pools, and I can't recommend him…read morehighly enough. From our very first appointment at our home, Brian spent several hours walking us through every aspect of the pool-building process. He explained everything in detail--from excavation and rebar placement to Shasta's construction methods, crack prevention techniques, warranties, equipment options, finishes, and long-term durability. What impressed us most was that during that very first visit, Brian listened to our ideas, measured our backyard, and created a complete visual design showing exactly what our pool, spa, and features would look like in our space. He also provided a detailed cost analysis, allowing us to understand exactly where our investment was going. Having all of that done during the initial appointment made the process incredibly convenient and gave us confidence right from the start. Brian never pressured us. Instead, he took the time to answer every question honestly and thoroughly. I especially appreciated that he was transparent about areas where Shasta has made improvements over the years. That honesty spoke volumes about both his character and the company's commitment to continually improving their product. We received approximately eight different pool quotes, and pricing was surprisingly similar across most builders--usually within a thousand or two depending on options. What ultimately set Shasta apart was the quality of their construction methods, the materials they use, their outstanding warranty, and their more than 60 years of experience. We truly felt we were getting superior value for our investment. If you're considering building a pool, I highly recommend reaching out to Brian Williams. His knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for his customers made the entire experience enjoyable and gave us complete confidence in choosing Shasta Pools.

I'm not sure if they hide other reviews or if we're the first to have issues, but we chose them from Yelp and they were the lowest price by far out of other bids. We originally wanted a drain and clean, but they suggested a full remodel, when we asked why they said they saw some exposed rebar (first red flag: there was never any exposed rebar). But we agreed to a remodel and the beginning stages were OK. Jovanny offered a discount on building a sun shelf in our pool and he said the discount was to gain our business, but then he used that discount to sort of complain about the budget? And tried to make a smaller sun shelf, so we had to pay 2K extra to get what we wanted. Lots of pointing fingers and "I didn't say that" or "well technically we talked about this.." instead of wanting to give us good customer service. I understand making money is necessary as a business, but we didn't ask for a discount; we shared our goal price and a discount was offered and I guess we didn't realize that came with work that reflected that discount. In writing I asked if a pool remodel came with a drain and refill, he said yes it came with that, which I thought included starting up the pool with chemicals, but I guess it just means using our own hose to refill the pool Wouldn't include a chemical startup so we found another company to do that for us. Overall a frustrating customer experience side but the pool itself looks good and took 2 weeks longer than we were told. Be sure to get every detail in writing especially designs and be prepared to mainly text or email (wouldn't answer many phone calls)

The entire project ran like clockwork. The planning and execution was seamless. Your work crews are craftsmen, very skilled and meticulous. Gary, the project started with your creative design. You listened very closely to what features we wanted and you incorporated those ideas into a masterpiece we now proudly call our backyard. Throughout the project, your team was very responsive to any concerns or questions we had. As our daily point of contact, Mike was wonderful to work with. To say that you and your staff went beyond our wildest dreams in the quality of work and customer service would be an understatement. Our backyard project also included a spa built and installed by your company, Spas by Design. The quality of your spa is untouchable. Also, I can't say enough about Bob Campo, your sales manager. When, as new spa owners, we were having some concerns about how to maintain the proper water quality, he came right over to help with a big smile and words of encouragement. Gary, this is what we learned about you during our backyard project. You LOVE your work. You're very good at it. You run your company with integrity. Your word is golden. We can't thank you enough! He cleaned my filters replaced the part, but there was still an issue with the pump which was only operating w/ half pressure. Daniel advised me my pump was a knockoff, and wasn't very efficient he quoted me a price to install a better pump which I told him I couldn't afford right now. He took the pump with him and basically rebuilt it, saving me a lot of money. the pool is running perfect, better then it ever has. I appreciate the time and effort he spent getting my pool to function properly. The temperature was 117 that day but he kept working until I was happy, so God bless you Daniel. I highly recommend All American Pool Servicing and Daniel, in fact I have hired him to do service my pool weekly!

For the past year, All American Pool Servicing was "taking care" of my pool. I am a new pool owner…read moreand relied on having a knowledgeable company to keep my pool clean and always ready to go. Apparently Daniel and his are very new to caring and servicing pools from my experience. There was always an outside factor on to why it was not his fault the pool had algae or that he was spending so much on pool chemicals. During the month of January he suggested my pool needs to be drained due to the amount of chemicals he was spending to keep not just my pool clean but others as well. Pool was drained by the previous owners February 2025 and he could not understand why the pool levels were not correct when David came to service it. Pool was drained by us and cost less than Daniel said he could do it for. I reached out to Daniel 4/12/26 regarding algae build on the walls and steps of my pool. I asked that the pool be given a thorough scrub to get the pool ready for the summer. David came over Monday, April 13th and stayed for 9 minutes, leaving the wall and steps still full of algae. I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously so I terminated my pool service with Daniel via email on 4/17/2026. I asked that I be taken off of autopay immediately to avoid being charged on the 1st, he replied "Will do". Come May 1, 2026 I was charged 120$, unbelievable. I reached out to Daniel 5/1/26 to get a refund and was told not sure why you were charged and refund takes 5-7 days. Today is 5/18/26 and I have yet to get a refund from him. I had to call my bank to issue a dispute charge as he did not even read nor text me back on 5/14/16 to see what was going on regarding the refund. I am not the only person he has not refunded. Check the other reviews regarding this company. Please use this company if you enjoy subpar service, listening to a silver tongued snake talk your ear off. If his website still says veteran owned, do not believe him. His former business partner was the veteran, not Daniel.

What was originally quoted around $7,000 ultimately totaled close to $20,000, all paid in cash. For us, this was a major investment. Less than five years later, nearly everything they installed is failing or has already had to be redone. The irrigation system was installed far too shallow. In many areas, PVC lines were placed just below or at the surface, including along walls and hardscape, instead of being properly trenched and compacted. As a result, the irrigation system has failed prematurely and is now being replaced. The lighting lines were also installed shallow and have had issues. The majority of the plants they installed died due to improper planting practices, including holes not dug correctly and lack of proper planting preparation. We are now paying other professionals to redo work that should have lasted far longer than this. We were also supposed to begin monthly maintenance service after the project was completed. We paid a $500 startup fee and were quoted $100 per month, but no one came out for three months. When I followed up, I was told the yard was now "overgrown" and that I would need to pay several hundred dollars more to address it, despite the lapse in service being entirely on their end. Throughout the process, communication was dismissive. Despite paying close to $20,000, the owner repeatedly referred to our project as a "small job" for him. When I finally sent a message addressing the condescending tone and lack of follow through, I received no response at all. Because warranty terms were never provided in writing, I have not attempted to pursue corrections through them. I would not hire this company again and strongly recommend that anyone considering them get everything in writing and be very cautious with payment structure.
