Recently, there was some sort of technical issue in my neighborhood that necessitated 5 or 6 technicians to resolve. Since then, my downstream has been limited to the upper 90's/20, when it should be about 250/20. With each speed increase, I've had to get new equipment out-of-pocket, because the company will only will only supply a DOCSIS 2.0 modem. Including my newest modem which is DOCSIS 3.1 with 16x8 which the company incorrectly told me I need, I'm still not getting the bandwidth I should be. Three different modems in as many months, because the CSRs are contradicting each other. In conclusion, Grande was stellar when it was a Texan-owned company, but since it was plundered by a company that's owned by a holding company in Hong Kong, customer service has definitely become sub-par, which compounds the fact that Grande won't get its metaphorical (if not literal) story straight, with respect to "needed" equipment.

If you try to use the "chat" option, you receive vague information and are told that questions cannot be answered. When you request a supervisor, you are told you have to call to speak with someone. When you question anything during the chat, you are told that the "person" on the other end of the chat is unable to help you and will terminate the chat. If you leave a yelp review, you receive a nice note from "Jackie" with a request to send a PM with your specific concerns. Too bad Jackie doesn't exist and there is no information on how to PM anyone for actual assistance. $500+ a month for services is beyond ridiculous and you only get bots to "assist" in answering questions regarding the $500 bill and why $280 of it is all fees. Edited to add: received my notice from "Jackie" and I can send a note via Facebook or X since there is no PM option. I have neither, by the way. Also, thanks "Jackie" for reminding me that Astound suspends additional comments - forgot about that part.

Katy and her team are friendly and willing to do what it takes to get your web-based business off the ground or revamp a website you already have. They can also help you create apps and help get them to reach your target market! More business and more traffic means more money! I hang out with them often and though I don't pretend to know what they are talking about half the time, I do know enough to understand that quality is of very high importance to them. I have other friends who work at tech companies and their conversations center around how "fast" they can get projects done so they can go home early and still make a profit. At Siren, they are motivated entirely differently. They are always challenging one another on what the BEST way to get something done is. They throw parties to celebrate a job well done for their clients. The most recent parties I was invited to were for to congratulate the team on finishing a project with extra features that weren't in the original budget and for breaking records on getting clients extra awesome search engine results without being asked. I often hang out with them while they are burning midnight oil and never hear them complain that they are putting in extra hours to make sure something is done RIGHT and still getting done on time. They are good at their job, but the reason for my review is that I see a side of them that most people do not see, and I admire how much they actually care about the projects they work on. It is rare to see a company who actually tries to make a difference in the world by helping people, especially in their field. For Siren, I can tell they are not just doing this for the money, and to me that is priceless. If I ever needed a website I would use them without hesitation.

Nonetheless the installer showed up nearly on time, completed his installation with pertinent and truthful information. Introductory 90 day started AFTER installation. I work from home, so this outage caused me to lose 4 hours of PTO and I may now have to drive into the office tomorrow because my service still isn't working. What makes this even more frustrating is the complete lack of accurate communication. I tried contacting support and waited forever without getting connected to anyone. I also tried their outage text service and received no useful response. Then, when I finally got Frontier's online outage checker to work, it told me "Outage resolved in your area" with a resolution time of 12:00 AM on August 20 -- even though my internet didn't go out until approximately 1 PM on August 20 and it is STILL not working. I understand that outages happen. What I don't understand is leaving customers without service for hours while providing inaccurate information and making it incredibly difficult to get an actual update or speak with someone. For a service that people rely on to work from home, this has been incredibly disappointing. Frontier needs to do a much better job communicating with customers during outages and providing accurate restoration information.

Recently I noticed intermittent throughput issues since a large wind storm came through a few months ago. I reached out to them and felt it might be good to have someone come and look at the antenna and confirm it wasn't loose. The technician, via email, told me that they had determined there was a cross signal between me and the tower where my radio connected. They suggested we have a technician come out and replace the radio with a different model using a different technology, which should alleviate the cross chatter that was giving me fits. Despite their busy schedule due to the storms in the area, they were able to accommodate my availability. They determined a technician would arrive between 1:00 and 5:00 pm and sure enough around 1:30 pm, I received a call from Josh, who was 10 or 15 minutes away from me. He arrived around 1:45 p.m. and had a second installer in tow, I believe his name was Corey or Cody, who was in training. Despite the sweltering heat and the height of the roof, about 25 ft, they climbed on up and determined the new radio would be the best option. They told me it would take approximately an hour and that was okay with me, as I was currently using my phone hotspot to prevent any disconnection while I worked remote. Sure enough, within a little over an hour, they knocked on the door, came inside and replaced the POE adapter and started confirming my connection. The throughput exceeded my expectation, as did the professionalism and attention to detail they exhibited. The two installer/technician's action, attitude androfesionalism spoke volumes about the quality of individuals they employ. Good job, Nextlink. Keep up the good work. Signed, a raving fan!

Update to my previous review:…read more Unfortunately, nothing has improved. NT Fiber has been, without question, the worst internet service provider I have ever dealt with. Trash.......... I have now been without internet service for three days, and there are neighbors in my community who have been without service for an entire week. This is completely unacceptable. The salesperson, Donna, has repeatedly told me through calls and text messages that she would "get me an update," but that's all I've received--promises with no real information or resolution. NT Fiber advertises "excellent service," but that couldn't be further from the truth. Excellent service doesn't leave customers without internet for days at a time, especially when many of us rely on it to work from home. This outage has directly affected my ability to do my job. I strongly advise HOAs, developers, and property managers to think twice before partnering with NT Fiber. Residents should not have to pay HOA fees for an internet service that is this unreliable and provides such poor communication during outages. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend NT Fiber to anyone.

The service has been extremely sporadic over the past two days, and around 2:00 PM, it has gone completely down. We are now being told that no one will be available to address the issue until Monday, September 14th. We need a more immediate solution and better communication regarding when this issue will actually be resolved or stop charging us thru HOA and we will be more than willing to find alternative service. No point in fiber if its unreliable i hear T-Mobiles hotspot performs perfectly out here.
