AT&T is awful. I had AT&T for several years, but in recent years, they could not keep my Internet…read moreworking. They would schedule a time for a tech to appear, then not show up. Most annoying, AT&T's so-called "Virtual Assistant" schedules stuff and dialogs with customers, but it's an outright liar. I waited for a tech one day during the 8 - 12 window Virtual Assistant gave me. Virtual Assistant kept texting me "we're late but we're on the way" for over FOUR HOURS. When it was obvious the tech did not show up, I texted "When are you coming?" Virtual Assistant answered, "We can help you with that." The next day, Virtual Assistant texted "Your repair is complete." I replied, "I don't believe you." Virtual Assistant replied (again) "We can help you with that." Total incompetence. I switched to Spectrum. After I terminated AT&T, they emailed me a "How did we do?" inquiry. I answered it, and a couple of weeks later I received the same inquiry. AT&T's downfall is its stupid automated communications. The nice thing about Spectrum is that they have live people there to answer the phone and their answers are helpful.

They want to charge me $150 for something I have NO control over. They want the modem returned which I would be glad to do but NOT a possible and according to then I am NOT to remove it and my landlord says it will not be removed. I ask who is going to pay for damages if my landlord charges me. So eighter way I am getting charged for something I can't control. They refused to have their tech come out and remove since he should have never attached to the wall in the first place according to AT&T. I have included pictures and their policy?

Back in December, AT&T was offering a promotion where you could receive up to $800 per line for…read moreswitching. Based on what I qualified for, I was expecting to receive $2,205.63. In order to switch, I paid $2,530.60 out of pocket and put it on my credit card, assuming the reward would help cover that cost. I submitted all my receipts in December and received confirmation that they were received. When I followed up in January, I was told they needed additional information. Getting that information from my previous provider turned into a long and frustrating process, but I finally had the documents mailed to me in February and uploaded them as requested. After uploading, I never received any confirmation or update. When I called today, I was told the documents I submitted were still not sufficient and that I needed to provide even more information. I was then transferred to a manager (which I didn't request), who told me that my claim is now marked as "expired" and that nothing can be done to change it. At this point, I'm out $2,205.63. That's a significant amount of money, especially right now, and this whole process has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I followed the steps, submitted what was asked, and still ended up with nothing. I would strongly urge others to be cautious with this promotion. My experience has been stressful, time consuming, and ultimately very costly.

Never once had an outage in the roughly 10 months that i had the service, so I never had a need to call about anything service or outage related. Excellent product. When I signed up for NT Fiber, it was the only option allowed in Sherman Park Village, a then brand new apartment complex in Sherman TX. I would have liked to stay with Sparklight, since I'd been doing business with them for over a decade at that point. When I signed up I was told that I could receive a bill in the mail and send a check as payment each month, as I preferred. That turned out to be untrue. After the first month or so when I received an email about nonpayment, it turned out they had to have a card on file, and charge it each month. Not the end of the world, just not what I was told. I bought my first home about a week ago, and got moved in this past weekend. I opted to go with Sparklight instead of NT Fiber. I started calling yesterday, the 23rd of March 2026, at about 9:18 a.m. I just got a call back today the 24th of March 2026, at about 2 p.m. I probably called 30 times or more, trying to get someone on the line to cancel my service. Left multiple messages. At 12:19 today I sent an email, detailing how many times I'd called, and asking for my service to be cancelled. About 1.5 hours later, I got a 1 word response from a Bobby with NT Fiber. "cancelled" I was going to flame the company pretty hard about that, but about 15 minutes later I got a phone call from a Rachel, with NT Fiber. She was perfectly pleasant, relayed that my service had been cancelled, and all payments stopped, and thanked me for being a customer. I told her I had been seconds away from a nasty review, and that a Bobby had left a single word response to my email. She told me that a stomach virus, or something like it, had torn up their office and that they were on a skeleton crew. Understandable. I'm leaving a 3 star review. It's not a 1 star because Rachel called me and was polite and professional, and overall the experience was pretty good with the company, and in my case at least, the product was phenomenal. It's not a 5 star, because it took me over 24 hours, 30+ phone calls, and 1 email to get a response from a company whose hours are listed as 24 hours a day. And I feel I was intentionally misled about the billing process at the start, back in June of last year. Hope this review helps someone.
